  1. If SWTOR was developed like this, it would be an amazing game. I could definitely not say TOR was more polished in many cases comparatively speaking.
  2. I wouldnt be so sure, Ive been a member here since 2009, EGA since the 2nd day, I had never even heard about guild wars 2 until early july and never played GW1. With no expectations going in, I have been more then impressed, it just feels like a 2012 MMO. And honestly besides minor bugs, which Arena Net is capable of hotfixing the most QQ I see is from former SWTOR players in general map chat. Not only am I saving 15 bucks a month now, but Im also playing a better game!
  3. It appeared stable because there was a month lull there with no new games, now that Guild Wars is officially out and MoP next month you can be sure it will only trend further downhill and continue until F2P especially if theres no new content. They have known for months in regards to the release dates of those other games, they had plenty of time to drop meaningful content to counteract those launches and all we got was a subpar world event so far. Youd think Makeb would likely drop around the 25th of Sept if they were smart.
  4. Sounds like OP needs to try gw2 like you said before you make that claim. Pvp was fun but the same 4 wz's, the class imbalances and the moniker "stun wars" just dragged on me. Plus what's going on with Ilum?! You made some good points but there's still too much wasted potential here. Levelling 1-50 was great I'll agree, even the second time. But based on what their saying we can't expect our storylines to continue anytime soon and thats too bad. And why I have no problem accepting gw2 ho hum storys since they put development into the core of the game and things that have lasting appeal that wont blow the budget to add. And real, huge open WvW pvp that works! Anyways op play SW for the story but if you have 60 to drop I'd pick up GW, I've been impressed. I'll come back to SW when it's f2p and they've added chapter 4/improved customer service.
  5. Agreed 100%. Wasted credits thinking it be a time saver for my alts knowing how many times you get sent back to DK. Quest says return to DK, ok, priority transport, sends me to the market, quest doesn't realize im there because I didnt use my ship, and now I need to speeder back to the space port, mount to my ship, get in, get out, head back. Pointless. I see no reason to defend this, just make things work plz. Hopefully people see this and can save their money and time.
  6. Who thinks the current swtor model would be able to handle GW2's WvWvW? Anyone? Not that I'm saying it has to, as this isn't primarily a pvp based game, but it is the most recent AAA competition. Which is why we have yet to even hear what's going on with Ilum, they know they can't offer mass pvp with their engine. I was blown away at the sheer scope of the battlefield in that GW2 with the amount of players and spell effects going on, on top of the pretty impressive graphics, I have encountered zero issues with framerates and my comp is barely working. In swtor I have to bring a fan into the room because my computer gets ridiculously hot while running it. Magik claiming fail logic but how is it that people who have these beast rigs with no problems playing games like BF3, crisis, GW, etc run into FPS issues with just this game? Cuz that makes sense right...
  7. Well im part of that niche and my money is as good as yours. Your making generalizations about pvp players (yes some true) but none of what you said I can honestly say applies to me. Its not as if this game hasnt had its share of PVE whining about lack of content, or its too easy etc. Im saying if a AAA MMO wants my sub fee then they have to have content on both sides. The reason I stuck around with wow so long was because it had a good mix. I like playing in some type of battleground online with others and im not into FPS or Starcraft type games so what other choices do I have?
  8. Except its not, at least for myself anyways and why I cant be bothered to play LOTRO. It is the lure for me in MMO games, ill PVE some sure but then it gets repetitive and stale where as PVP is different each time. If pvp was such a minor thing why would Guild Wars 2 be centered around it?
  9. They should do what DCUO does. You pick up a new piece of loot, that style gets added to your "wardrobe" then all you have to do is select it and it will change the appearance while keeping all the stats. Easiest and quickest customization I've seen, it doesn't cost a cent in game and everyone looks more unique then what we find now. Think they could pull something like that off?
  10. Maybe he put it out there to gauge community interest and see if enough people would be willing to pay ontop of their sub, which I hope they read this thread since the answer is obvious. Lol at this being an expansion, if it was, EA/BW would be hyping this up like they do best, you could go pre order it from Gamestop and the #1 feature would be progressing class storylines which we know is not happening anytime soon if at all since "it's too expensive".... Really? your just figuring this out now in your marketed story driven mmo?! As it is we know little to nothing about it, this is a much needed content patch that their even breaking up to deliver over months to attempt to live up to their "monthly content"' updates. We know we get an op next month and a wz possibly the one after, that already feels cheap. The lies and deception from this company and how they handle their business blows my mind, and Im constantly amazed by people who still eat it up. It's the ones here that can't see the forest for the trees that leads EA to think this would even be remotely acceptable. It's not. While fun, this game has plenty of issues but I would unsub in a heartbeat and never look back if they follow through on charging for this.
  11. Ive had this happen 5 maybe 6 times...gets real annoying when your team is gonna win the WZ too. Seems to happen after I'm killed and when I re-spawn I am lying down, in the death position..... cant get up or move, anything. Especially frustrating when there is only 46 seconds left in the match but your boot timer is down to 40 seconds, no rewards just straight back to where I que'd from. This has gone on for months, its most def not a new bug. and......INB4 someone tells me the simple solution is to just not die.
  12. I am not confident, and my opinion is worth no more then yours. Just basing this off their track record in the past 8 months I'm far more confident in mine until they prove otherwise. I agree that they have content ready to be released and are now waiting for F2P which is just sad. The OP is at one end of the spectrum while the haters are at the other and neither do any good for the game.
  13. They were planning the f2p model when they set prices for legacy features IMO, Id bet you could buy the perks with cartel coins now. Lowering the level does nothing for me. On another note, they encourage alt leveling, set up a family tree so I drop all these credits for perks and its only available for the toon I bought it on, hows that legacy at all?
