  1. Not true. I just spent about 10 minutes, killing several republic per minute, and hitting almost all of them with at least a few hundred damage. I think I managed to get credit for only one kill.
  2. It happens in other warzones, too, though 6/x wins in Huttball are the most frequent from my experience. I had this happen tonight after a near tie in voidstar that we won 2-2.
  3. Go with Parasitism. Generally, you'll have multiple dots running on multiple targets, so you'll be getting healing from it frequently. It may not seem like much, but it can add up.
  4. The issue here is that 1) grinding centurion commendations for gear take a LOT longer than getting champion gear from bags, and 2) those that are lucky enough to get a set of champion gear will have much better gear than those that grind out a set of centurion gear. If the centurion gear was better than the champion gear, this wouldn't be as much of an issue.
  5. Lucky you. Today I got my second and third earpiece, as well as my third relic. Would have rather had 3 centurion commendations in those bags.
  6. The only issue I have with PvP currently is the RNG based gearing system. If this isn't fixed before ranked warzones are implemented, they're going to be a complete joke.
  7. The issue isn't the amount of time it take to get PvP gear. The issue is the RNG based system. RNG based gearing systems in PvP, IMO, are dumb, because they reward luck, not any amount of skill or dedication, and increase the performance of random players via gear, not necessarily those deserving of it. As an example, an assassin in my guild and I have been PvPing for about an equal amount of time. Yet he has quite a bit of gear, over 2k more health than me, and over 300 expertise. I have a pathetic amount of gear, including 3 pieces that I can't even equip because I've gotten 3 ear pieces and 3 relics from the bag, and I only have 177 expertise.
  8. Actually, it is possible that lightning barrage would be worth more dps than creeping terror with the way it is bugged currently. Currently, it is possible to get the benefit of two lightning barrages from one proc. If you begin channeling force lightning again immediately at the end of a lightning barrage force lightning, the second force lightning will also receive the benefit of lightning barrage. Add in the additional benefit of chain lightning, and it is very possible that those two talents are worth more dps than creeping terror. The spec I would use is this: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#201ZfcM0dZcMfRsMkrc.1
  9. This is about the worst madness/lightning hybrid I've seen yet. Lightning Spire is a wasted point, as it doesn't increase the range of force lightning, crushing darkness, or affliction. That should go to force horrors. Suppression could be put into 2/2 lingering nightmares, as a lower whirlwind cd does a grand total of nothing for your dps. Keeping 3 stacks of subversion up would be a massive pain, as you would rarely, if ever, use lightning strike in this spec. Lightning storm is a minimal dps increase that might be better used in creeping death, as this would only really matter for aoe. From my experience, lightning effusion, while useful, is unnecessary.
  10. Sounds like the same bug as with force lightning-lightning barrage. With the reduced cast time, does it still continue the casting animation after the cast is complete for one second, and not let you cast anything else with a cast time for that duration?
  11. You know that thing in your skull called a brain? Use it. There aren't any resources like Elitist Jerks for SWTOR yet (that I know of), so you're going to have to mostly actually think for yourself.
  12. Try using the terrain to your advantage. LoS her casts behind any available pillars, and look for other features that you could use. Don't forget that you can also kite her if her melee attacks are a problem. You have force slow, force speed, overload, and force lightning at your disposal for this.
  13. Actually, you do have a very clear cut priority. Keep affliction up, use force lightning as filler, use crushing darkness on wrath procs if its off cooldown, otherwise use it for chain lightning. It may also be worth it to use death field on cooldown for deathmark, but I have yet to look into that. It is also far more movement friendly than lightning as well, with wrath procs giving you a lot of instant casts, and chain shock making shock nearly as powerful as force lightning. Lightning Barrage is nice, too, though its somewhat bugged when you spam force lightning. Of course, I've yet to do much theorycrafting (and I doubt there are many that have), so a lot of this will be dependent on the numbers (though from my experience, both specs seem close).
  14. It is just a tooltip error, and has always been a tooltip error. I can confirm that it did not decrease the damage done per tick by affliction, even prior to Tuesday's patch.
  15. Another one to add to the list: occasionally force lightning will channel at normal speed when lightning barrage procs, but still consume lightning barrage. I have also noticed this bug work the other way as well, with a force lighting used immediately after a lightning barrage force lightning also benefiting from lightning barrage, even without lightning barrage active.
