  1. if this is the best game you have played then you must be new to games?
  2. so that automatically means nothing can be freed up? /facepalm
  3. so thats the only arguement you have? my other pc runs it like the second comming of jesus so your pc must suck.... are you that simple?
  4. everyone saying they have good performance on all circumstances with 70-100+ are full of crap. funny thing is there is a truckload of evidence in the form of videos that there is **** performance in bigger pvp battles yet there is no proof that it actually runs smoothly other then vague "i get 100+fps" nonsense.
  5. not really, if the idea is executed like this it would suck yes. tweak it a bit, make the target in question aware of his bounty, give him some beneficial effects or whatever in case he might defeat the bounty hunter and it actually might turn out to be quite fun. of course it needs more tweaking then that, but truth be told; most awesome ideas start somewhere and more often then not they are pretty rough or sucky in its infancy.
  6. i fully agree with you. im studying for game developing currently and had to rewrite code on several occasions from existing engines for a few tasks. its absolutely horrendous. for exactly the same reason as you say; unable to work on new features and time consuming which equales money spent. i rather create my code from scratch in a lot of cases since it usually takes less time and u can structure it exactly for your own needs. the other obvious option is to license an engine, one that has fully proven itself. and not some unproven engine, however good it might possibly be. the answer on your question is therefore rather easy; i would buy the rift engine.
  7. not trying to defend bioware, since the game runs like well.....nvm... BUT! they licensed the engine when it was not even finished. the version they have now is for large parts, if not the larger part, written by bioware themselves. meaning they can tweak and write/rewrite all they can or want. im only doubtfull about the "want" aspect.
  8. good job at horribly misinterpreting that topic, or the posted code example, just as 99% of the people posting in that one. there is no actual rendering done remotely, its not even funny that some people even think so....
  9. indeed, the nay sayers probably never been to ilum or never experienced larger scale combat. another possibility is that they are the exeption to the rule.
  10. mayority of your guild i guess. because mine is growing.
  11. 1. it doesnt need hours a day 2. its a workaround untill the lfd tool gets implemented.
  12. ^this^ gtx 580 here aswell, although playability is ok it is far from what people with their over 9000 fps on inferior machines claim. e-peen....laughable..
  13. the 50 community has grown in size quite a bit over time ofcourse..
  14. it hasnt proved jack**** yet, try again after it actually launched......
