10 Good
  1. I'm just not good enough to compete with the veterans. My ship is fully upgraded so the game thinks I'm good, but I'm useless. What can I do?
  2. Surely the only way to solve this is to remove the queue as a group option and only allow solo queuing...
  3. I've given up on GSF, I could barely compete before now it's impossible. Quite apart from the fact that cross faction is just moronic, why would republic fight with imperials against other republic, I know of at least one veteran who has given up also due to the ridiculous unbalanced matchmaking. That particular vet was much better than me, I saw them get 20 kills in a match once, if people like that are leaving then what hope have I got.
  4. I'm glad some players will enjoy the new SH, but for those that dont, what new content have we actually had since the expansion? I think the answer is very little. It would have been nice to have something new that I can do in the game. I'm not a PvPer either. I pay to play, but I'm continually asking myself why is my hard earn money going towards a game that is stagnant. Sadly I'm not ready to quit yet; obviously I'm a masochist.
  5. There's only so long that paying customers will put up with this sort of thing before they vote with their feet. Regrettably there's no alternative. When my mobile provider annoys me I at the end of the contract I switch to another provider, usually because they have a special offer. There's no other game in town, EA has us by the short and curlies, play their game or play nothing. Not a good place to be, but what can one do...
  6. My first reaction when I discovered that they are giving us yet another stronghold was...Oh great yet another useless stronghold. Instead of giving us more of the same why not give strongholds an actual purpose beyond a glorified cargo bay. Get all your large brained boffins together and invent something that we, as paying customers, actually want, instead of the same old same old. How many stronghold does one person need, I use one of them, that's it. Try using your imaginations maybe - it's your job!
  7. TBH I'm not interested in learning about how to build a ship, I just want to fly about and have fun shooting things and being shot at. All the tactical/strategy nuances are for dedicated players. I'm a casual player who just wants 10 mins of fun flying about. I'm sure all the veterans will shout noob etc, but TBH I'd rather be good at my job in RL than an expert at a game - i dont get paid to play this. I play to relax and have a bit of fun, which seems incompatible with the OMG you must study this and play 5 hours a day of SWTOR is pointless attitude. I log on play for an hour then do something else.
  8. The reason they haven't released any new content is because it costs money. EA is a business, they have to make money. The best way is to cut costs. Everyone has invested many years playing the game, which is the only reason I haven't left; I think it's a kind of insanity that keeps me playing. Since there's nothing new the only reason I can think of that keeps me in the game is that I've invest 6.5 years of time. I'm not hopefully that they will release any good content because why should they. They have a captive audience so they will release a minimum viable product just to keep things ticking over until the game dies. It's good business - low cost, guaranteed income; you cant really blame them.
  9. All that is correct, but operations are boring once I completed them a couple of time. I prefer my system. Some of us cant play that often due to life commitments.
  10. The question is really, do you want new players for GSF? My experience is basically, you try to have fun and just die, die, die then stop playing forever. Are the veterans not bored fighting the same people all the time. What % of SWTOR player base play GSF? If no one is willing to change the game to help new players have fun without being killed every few seconds by veterans camping the spawn points and hogging the power ups then an unranked, everyone flies the same ship version, and a ranked upgradable ship, as it is now, option seems the best solution; the best of both worlds. I agree that veteran pilots might win when everyone has the same ship, but eventually new players will learn and if they know from the outset that no one has an advantage the opportunity is there. I think this would bring new blood into the stale "all the usual suspects" GSF
  11. Clearly, we all want to have nice things and in SWTOR that means 248. Since many believe that the drop rate at 400 is abysmal why not add another 100 ranks so that Tier 4 gets a progressively higher rate, of 248, which plateaus at 500. Customer will have more ranks and will see their 248 parts arrive after a reasonable and determined effort. Otherwise it's just random and everyone hates randomness...
  12. You really don't want a higher drop rate. This is likely reading a really good book, one is eager to get the end, but when the end appears...melancholy
  13. Hi, I was happily walking along in my Walker on Iokath when I realised that a terrible ommission occurred during the development of the droid infested mega-structure...the Walker lacks a Dance mode. Please please please BW add Walker dancing mode, we will all be happier. Regards J
  14. The reason their customer care is very very poor is information. Everyone accepts that things go wrong and problems occur. A company with good customer service values its customers and keeps them informed with useful communication. EA consistently ignores its customers and when things go wrong fails to communicate with them. In a competitive market EA would rapidly run out of customers, but they have a monopoly on SWTOR so feel no need to actually care for their customers. This incident has confirmed all my worst fears about EA. It's been days now and i have no information about where my coins are or if i'm going to get a refund. Without doubt is the last time I ever buy anything from EA.
  15. Perhaps we could try something fresh...everyone gets the same ship with the same equipment, no missles and weird special abilities just blasters and pilot skill. I accept your point that SW does have some missles in the movies, but I feel most people still want pure dog fighting with blasters. Naturally the existing GSF players who are comfortable in their dominant position would hate a level playing field because then they might actually lose...
