I say capital ship battles mostly because I want more content like the Esseles flashpoint. That had a feel of a proper battle to me.

It isn't an assumption, it's a valid observation. if EA/BioWare thought they could make a lot of money on a Mac client, then they would have developed one already. I work in a software company too, and shockingly, we build the software that we think people will buy... So I think it is far to assume that if there is money to be made with a Mac client, it isn't enough to have been instantly compelling, and Mac people shouldn't be holding their breath for a mac client.

Translation: We can't figure out how to make the other crew skills useful, so we've decided to make Biochem useless too.

I'm fine with adding this as a loot option, but I don't think this should replace the basic need/greed option.

This is why we have PvP servers. They're jerk magnets. Let's the rest of us game on servers with a much lower concentration of jerks. But if you don't like playing with jerks, I'd suggest you re-roll to a non-jerk server.
