  1. thats not a "problem" thats the intentional, fundamental design of the game. It's not like they made the npc, realized how tough they were and went "damn...we better have have the companions do something beside hang around on the ship"....it's how Bioware does rpgs...you have the main character (you) and a party of companions that help in combat. It's like complaining about there being too much driving in Mario kart.
  2. Which is why they should be bound to legacy, not the character.....all your characters on the same server have the same rep.
  3. All the "things" are but the certificates are a currency, like the grey helix parts from the Gree event....but it's a currency that should be tradeable within the legacy, imo
  4. This should be a no brainer...anything attached to the legacy wide reputation system should be bound to legacy
  5. Once you have your ship, every quest that offers companion gear as a reward also offers droid parts. you could dress him in those.
  6. Also they've not announced the date of the auto-transfers. It's certainly not 48 hrs. The OP has confused "last day to get free stuff for transferring" with the transfer date.
  7. You do know about Reverse Engineering, right? break down the green items you make and you can learn 3 different blue (more and better stats) versions of it...each of which can be further REd to get 5 purple (even more and even better stats) versions. Granted, it takes a while to do that, so it's generally not something worth doing early on...but as you get higher in level and spend more time in a level it can work out. Generally in the 30's it's worth going to blue on things you craft as you're running around, I've found. Especially on those crafts where you can get materials from things you're killing any way in addition to resource nodes.
  8. And? Not everyone's a PvPer, so they don't get PvP rewards. Not everyone's a raider, so they don't get raid rewards. Not everyone's into tracking down all bits and pieces to get a tauntaun ( or whatever) pet, so they don't get whatever pet. So what if some people aren't into playing alts. They don't get the perk from playing alts. It's perfectly acceptable for there to be things in the game that some people just don't get. The opportunity for anyone to get it is the same, but if it's an activity they're not interested in, then they have to ask themselves..."do i want that doodad enough to do the activity that grants it?" It's the same for anything else.
  9. Good edit. Before you added the last sentence, I thought I was going to have to explain how mindlessly killing the enemy can actually be counter-productive to accomplishing the win conditions of a WZ.
  10. Your role is determined by your Advanced Class and spec. A Trooper, for example, chooses between Vanguard and Commando. Both of those AC's have access to DPS specs, but Commandos have a spec dedicated to healing and Vanguards have a spec dedicated to tanking. There are a couple of ACs where all 3 of their specs are DPS, however. Sentinel/Marauder, Gunslinger/Sniper. A Commando can respec from healing to dps, but be truly effective at it, would need to swap into the appropriate gear.
  11. Because they didn't change "everything last time". They added. Only the new sets that came in 1.2 (war hero, campaign, black hole) have the set bonuses on the mods.
  12. They're probably not even done deciding on the the specifics that you're asking for.....in other words, it's *not* info they have yet, and is still possible that it can change. They don't give out info until they have it set in stone.
  13. Yeah...as those folks above me said.... "content will continue to roll out month after month" is not a promise of a major patch every month. You're upset with him because he's broken a promise he never made?
