  1. "Cybertech and artifice however do not currently have any critical bonuses available, so keep that in mind." I didn't read through all 16 pages, so someone may have already mentioned it, but Cybertechs crit an aug slot in earpieces, and Artificers crit an aug slot in weildables.
  2. I didn't even bother until I hit cap can got the reusable ones. They're too expensive to make to be worthwhile. Then again, I'm not a PVP'er so.. /shrug.
  3. Were it not for PVP, I doubt you'd hear more than a peep about this. Ever. PVE'ers might just have to wait for EQNext or some other title to get another solid PVE game that isn't being constantly jerked around by PVP QQ.
  4. I was asking around just this past Friday because I thought they had stealth buffed the rate of return on MI. In one afternoon, my companions came back with something like 12 to 15 of them. RNG peeps; RNG. One good thing about the grind is that soon, when my armormech starts making T6 gear, I'll finally have something to do with the roughly 1,000 Ciridium that's currently clogging up my bank.
  5. I hit somewhere around 400 before I got the Artifact schem I was after. It's a grind that rewards those with the fortitude to stick it out. If everyone had all the schems, none of them would be worth anything.

    Is RE broke?

I can't figure out what everyone's problem is. I've made millions off of crafting. I've only bought mats once and that's when I was low on Mando Iron. Yes, I burned probably around 400 Prototype quality items looking for a particular combination of stats, but it is what it is. Maybe the term "harder" isn't the best adjective to use, but in a sense, it can apply. Successful crafting is "harder" in the sense that the system rewards people who have the fortitude to stick it out. If everyone has all the schematics, none of them are worth anything.
  7. Maybe it just depends on what server you're on because I'm still getting prototype and Artifact grade RE's every day on my Armormech, and it seems to be about the same rate it's been since Early Access. Either that or RNG just hates you? /shrug All I know is I really hope people will stop with the QQ because if Bioware waters this down to the point where everyone has all schematics, they will all be worthless.
  8. Geeze. These threads always crack me up. I started Cybertech on day one of early access, and it took me around 400 blue earpiece RE's before I finally got the schematic I was after. To my knowledge, I'm still the only person on my server with the schematic. Bioware stated very early-on that they intended the crafting system to be set up so that there may only be one or two people per server to have a particular schematic. It will reward those with the dedication to stick with it. It's called work. Cut the qq, suck it up, and start grinding! If you don't like it, quit grinding and buy your items from someone with the fortitude to stick it out. Unfortunately, it's looking like Bioware is starting to give in to the crybabies and will trivialize crafting to the point that it'll be even more pointless than it already is. If everyone has all the schematics, what's the point?
  9. I remember losing my soul for 3 RL days when EQ2 first came out. At the time, I was really bummed, but ya know what? I still remember that night/afternoon, and I look back on it fondly. I spent hours trying to get that thing back. And I didn't even need a quest to provide the incentive. Nektulos Forest with Heroic pirhanna. Trust me, you DID NOT fall in that river if you were alone. Of course this was all before SOE saw what Blizzard was doing and decided to turn their game into wowII. With any luck though, they learned their lesson on that one and won't jack-up EQNext. *crosses fingers*
  10. /signed OP I didn't realize how much I took the class richness in the older games like EQ2 and even Vanguard for granted until I went to RIFT, then eventually TOR. I blame PVP. PVP'ers and PVE'ers each need their own game.
  11. It took me probably 300 to 400 blue RE's to get the Endowment earpiece I was after; also with many duplicate crits. Just hang in there, you'll get it eventually.
  12. In many of those other titles however, melee has often had this fact offset by their ability to consistently top the parser while the ranged that can consistently be at or near the top the parsers are forced to wear the equivalent of a smoking jacket as armor. imo, a heavy-armored toon standing 29.5 m away and being within 5% of the top of the parser is just wrong.
  13. One thing this made me think of though is that we (Infiltrator DPS's) can DPS while on the move. It's my understanding that as a rule, ranged cannot. Then again, they usually don't have to joust and dance like we do so.. /shrug We're melee heavy, and while we can get it done, it's a genuine pita; to the point of being silly. Moar jousting! Weeeee!
  14. Then offset the required jousting and survivability issues by giving them more DPS capability. Oh that's right, I forgot about the PVP whiners; ya can't do that. This is but one example of why PVPers need their own game. The mirrored skills are another. Aside from the animations and names, there's little to no uniqueness in abilities. Everyone needs a stun break. Everyone needs a purge/cleanse. Everyone needs a revive. Everyone needs a... TL:DR - IMO, PVP destroys the potential richness and varience of PVE.
  15. "Simply because one criticizes the game doesn't mean that one doesn't like the game. In most cases, criticism comes from those who like the game but want to improve the game. Be less hostile to those who advocate for improvements." If one feels the need to make this their sig, there's a good chance they're simply a chronic whiner / nit-picker.
