  1. Wrote a ticket and received a reply. Apparently It is a Bug that is meant to be patched out soon. Alas, they know of it, just haven't addressed it yet.
  2. Bump for great justice. Still relevant, I'm having the same issue. All my decorations from the Heroics are running on that timer, and I can't sell them on the GTN
  3. Tbh, a good handful of your points follow this formula; New content > I don't like the new content > Not going to play it. That's the argumentative basic chain you're throwing around with your argument. But it in no way solidifies KOTFE as 'boring'. To you perhaps, but there's many that enjoy the Alliance system, that you're building yourself this little group of 20-something Followers that you can seperately level and take with you on missions. I think one of the biggest problems is that people expect genuine novelty from established games. An established game will very rarely, most likely never bring 'full novelty' into the fray through an 'expansion' (Key note; Expansion. Expanding the existing game, not creating a new one.). And if it does, people straight-out **** on it, complaining it's 'a pointless grind'. Maybe you ought to realize that what you want isn't a 'good SWTOR expansion'. you just want to play a new game. EDIT: Oh and as for the storyline complains. It's star wars. Star wars lives and breathes old cliches because it's entirely wrapped up in the evil/light conflict of Goodies vs baddies. And infact, this expansion is actually original in that aspect in that it introduced a third party that in it's nature is not alligned with either light nor dark sides, but seems to represent more of a neutral ground.
  4. You can solo all Star Fortress Heroics with companions. It's only time intensive as the damage-output is a bit too low. Upside = All loot goes to you. Infact, you can even Solo most mobs in the SF Heroics with a DPS/DPS set, aslong as you switch to healers on the Paladins/ Gold enemies/ Exarchs
  5. Has anyone considered if there might be an actual reason for all these changes beyond 'lulzeasy game Companions 4 unkilled people lelelel'? EA and Bioware probably have it in their interest to attract new players, paying players. Now, With each level cap increase, and the bigger the old content to level becomes, the longer it takes to even participate in the highest, most active bracket of the game (Which is usually Raiding / Endgame PVP). To take WoW for an example ; WoW would be incredibly discouraging for any new players if they had to grind through every single expansions original play-time and leveling requirements. If Bosses where as difficult as they used to be, gear was as it used to, skills where as they used to, you'd have far less people willing to subscribe based on the fact that to reach that upper echelon you'd need around a year, if not longer. Same principle applies for SWTOR. You don't want to discourage new players by keeping previous content too long/difficult just to appease those who have 'gone through it', so they can have their marginal 'Im So l33t for being 65 and u not' feeling. Personally I enjoy the new Companion dynamic. Before I could just blast through all low level planets spamming exactly one ability. Now I can blast through them by sicking one companion on them. Pretty much nothing has changed in that regard. They just shifted damage output from you, the high-leveled figure towards your companion.
  6. Using my magical precognition skills; alas, Guessing outta my ***; I presume another 30 minutes up to maximally 2 hours.
  7. They Patched the game. Just incorrectly, lol. Also, I was certain that maintanence ends in 1 hour, not in 1 minute. But as the bloke above me said ; Winter-timezone shift.
  8. To be honest the only smart move here would've been directing his/her energy towards EA/Customer Service at phone and what not. In my personal experience Customer service in SWTOR isn't that bad especially if you do not try to talk to them like a demanding, condescending 'IM A CUSTOMER WORSHIP ME' attitude. For example, I once had mistakenly paid for a subscription on the wrong account (I had two registered, one when I was F2P and another when I went Sub), and they easily switched it over. The same way with granted Cartel Coins. I wouldn't be surprised if there would be a degree of leniency towards people that missed a day in a 3 month pre-payment necessity for access.
  9. I doubt we have to download the game again (for those that already patched) The way I read it, there's a problem 'with' the patch we have downloaded, alas they are now adjusting said problem / recompiling the patch / re-uploading it. At which point we will be able to download the 'fixed' version of the patch. If not I presume everyone who has DLed the patch already is boned lol.
  10. It's not obnoxious. People that make that type of living either learned to treat their income well and 'earned' said major paycheck through years of dedicated hard work and knowing how to handle money, or had it handled to them on a silver spoon by mommy and daddy. Those in the first category would 'never' spend 1000 bucks for a virtual game where that money could be spend elsewhere and actually make them a profit, whereas those silver spoon kids with said income just spend money they don't really deserve. Take a look at the majority of self-made milloinaires or business men. They wont even nickle out a 10 bucks tip on a cafe, you think they'll net out 1000 bucks on virtual game currency?
  11. I rather believe they just have a healthy sense of 'not giving a damn' over complaints unless they're game breaking. Besides, I am pretty sure there are actual behavorial guidelines for EA/Bioware staff when it comes to posting on official Forums. There's a certain way they're only allowed to react, reply, and behave on the forums, and it shows throughout any form of post they make. It has nothing to do with personal-stress tolerance, it is more of a 'business conduct' requirement that they must display when acting on behalf of EA/Bioware.
  12. @ OP. If you are happy about what Bioware supplies you with for your money, then that's nice. However, if other people have other sentiments about it is is within their full right to voice that. Some people value their money differently, and expect different things for it. To voice that is perfectly legal and infact a right anyone should take note of. If they have valid gripes about updates and the likes, it's their right to voice that. That is called 'Feedback', and not 'whiney kids complaining'. Also, if you have an issue with the demographic of young people playing this game, I think that the issue aren't those 'whiney kids' complaints, but the fact that you can't arrange yourself with the fact that you ARE playing with teenagers and the likes, and not just likewise, probably middle-aged men.
  13. There's nothing to refute. Your point stands in your own way because you say : as a sub, you're entitled to, quote: unlimited access to the functional portion of the game ie level, zones, credits, crafting, abilities, pvp, pve. Now your definition of 'functional portion' of the game differs from mine. I consider everything the game consists off, that is implemented through patches and what not, to be a 'functional portion' of the game. That is what I subscribe for, to receive updates on the game, to support the company in order to supply me with said updates, for the money I am already paying, and not to release something to yet again charge me. @ The WoW argument. WoW is the grandfather of successful MMO's. you cannot take it's pricings for appearance changes and compare them to SWTOR, simply because WoW NEVER went Free to play officially. You can play it to a certain level as a trial, yes, but the game never was Fully Free-to-play. So it's only natural they charge you more for their services. If you want to create a fair comparison, take a look at the other MMO's, and how their implemented customization options (And or updated customization options) work, and tell me with a straight face that what EA is charging us with here is a justifiable amount of CC/Real money. In other MMO's, you get these features for free, or for ingame pricings that are very much afforadable even at low levels. Champions Online and COH are perfect examples of implemented customization, It allowed for post-creation customization for ingame credits, and the variety there was extensive. In Guild Wars ,another 'F2p' model MMO, it's implemented through an option to pay with their premium currency 'or' credits. SWTOR is one of those only high-profile F2P mmo's that wants to get away for charging you with an implemented game feature. Now before you reply to this, I'll try to make this perfectly clear again. Please refrain from this 'you point is stupid, stop complaining' mentality that seems to have spread like a cancer amongst people here. These forums where made for us to voice our opinion on the game, on the updates, and the likes. This is what we're doing here now, and if you disagree, you can say that and just give reasons to why you're disagreeing. But honestly, I'm not going to respond to peoples innate desires to argue with me over a personal Opinion and my sense of entitlement versus their justifications for EA/Bioware.
  14. I'd disagree there. I wasn't voicing issues with 'Makeb' being an expansion you have to pay for, I merely made the comparison that the newly implemented features cost as much as that expansion, and that only at an one-time use. There should always be a certain balance between the money you spend and the things you receive. Also, a few posts ago somebody mentioned they're considering just 'coining' in on their stuff instead to subscribe. I personally feel as if this is what EA pushes for. Consider, if this trend continues, that will net them far more money per person then anything else. At the end of the day, this entire patch was, and is, a pure Cartel Market expansion, charging both Subscriber and F2P players for a service that, in it's own nature, should be for free or atleast obtainable for ingame credits for subs. Again, I completely understanding taxing the 'new hair parts and packs', but to implement a customization feature with the stipend that you can only use it spending real money on it, and everytime you do use it costs you money, it really hampers, and quite literally, ruins the feature. The reasons simple too. something like a customization feature is meant to be used often, to change your characters appearance while you progress, especially when you're a roleplayer. To try and cash in on that is just straightout money-grubbing, and has nothing to do with ehtical business practices. Again, an one time unlock for the shop at 500 CC would've made far more sense then what we have now.
  15. Get out here with that nonsense. If pricetags would scare us we wouldn't subscribe to the game in the first place. There's a difference in unwillingness to pay, and unwillingness to pay for unfair services. This is such a case.
