  1. I believe it is a legit email. When you mouse over the link in the email does the main url end in swtor.com/xxxxx if yes then it is a link to the swtor.com site. Others have already posted this but http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=687404 someone else asked the same thing and mods said theirs was legitimate
  2. answered: found the patch notes. thanks
  3. So for being a loyal subscriber I get: No Cartel Coins for my pre purchase of RoTHC No Bonus coins that returning subs are getting. Unclear if we get the pet/speeder? Ok, so you would think they would want to keep their subscribers happy but they are doing the same thing SOE did with Starwas Galaxies. Alienating their current player base in hopes of attracting a new source of income from players who already left the game because they didn't want to pay for it in the first place? Reality of this situation is almost laughable. Players pay 15$ to come back and sub for a month and then let it lapse again because they only did it for the fluff. While the alienated loyal customers are now seeing the benefit for only subscribing when the fluff happens. I don't know who your marketing genius's are, but I would 'advise' them to give any of the fluff gifts you are giving to returning players to your loyal subscribers, because the lack of interest you show in your loyal subscribers is disturbing. Yes I enjoy the content updates (when they happen) no, I do not benefit from your gambling packs, Yes I enjoy the bug fixes. However all of your fluff subscribers are getting what I am getting, only they stop paying for it one month later.
  4. Our complaint isnt about what we got. it is the extremely poor implementation of re-imbursing people who purchased the game recently in an in game grant of 1050cc. We did in fact get what we paid for, however, so did the people who purchased the expansion recently. In fact, they got what they paid for, and will get the same access to this as we, who bought it on day one paid for it. The difference? They are getting re imbursed for something that they paid for, and got what they paid for, and we are all in the 2 day warning boat that this is going to go free to subscribers. It is the fact that everyone got what they paid for, but only a portion of them are getting re imbursed. That being said, I understand there are laws regarding this. What they SHOULD have done is announced 30-60 days ago that this was going to happen, or 30-60 days FROM the point that they decided it would happen and stopped taking anyones money and re imbursed NO ONE, that would be the fair way to handle this situation, and give the people who bought the expansion, all of them, a lousy title and then no one feels as if they are being burned because everyone who bought it is being treated equally. further more they could have just offered refunds to the people who purchased the game within the last 60 days, OR keep the title that would be granted, that way the people would feel as though they had an avenue to get their money back, or get a cool title! this is poor implementation, and whoever thought it through should be put in front of the player base and forced to 'answer any questions' for an entire work day, and not be allowed to skip a single question. no overtime.
  5. True, but they give more than 2 days notice that it is going live and do not give cartel coins/in game currency as recompense to only a portion of the people they sold it to. It either goes free, or is bundled with the next expansion. This is not a well though rolled out plan, and it alienates the people who HAVE been loyal by showing NO loyalty to them.
  6. Seriously? As a loyal subscriber I do not get the 1050 cartel coins because I supported your game and purchased the expansion at early release? You can say 'you got your monies worth' but in reality you are saying 'your loyalty means less than pissing off the new player that started in august and picked it up' Get ready for the next exodus of irritated subscribers moving to free to play.
  7. 1) Musco 2) Courtney 3) Amber 4) Musco 5) Musco
  8. wonder how many people brought out their botting programs to get this done.... can't wait for high pop time
  9. This bounty hunter week was something I was looking forward too. fighting over a spawn with 15 players, rarely able to click interrogate even when in a group of 4 is abysmal. Whoever master minded this system is sadistic.
  10. Mid fight? Stop fighting, and group quit. You have mechanics to fix this. That being said? If you join a group, join with known well respected group creators. Or run the risk of running pug. If someone changes loot rules mid fight you can just stop fighting, stop healing, stop tanking. cause the wipe and leave the group.
  11. They are useful, they are cosmetic and now they are rare. Put mods in them and use them to show off to the people who didnt keep them around.
  12. Most of the group has the majority of their 72's and are getting to the point of min maxxing, so the dps that comes in will wind up getting geared up relatively quickly if you are mostly 69's. almost garunteed loot every week at this point if you still need to progress into 72's Fill out the app on the site and someone will drop you a mail in game. See you in raid.
  13. Great guild to run with, and group 1 isn't kidding, if you are a healer in mostly 69's you will probably be near full 72's in 2 weeks as most of their group is min maxing at this point. Great group of guys *and gal(s)* and they are excellent at explaining the mechanics for hard modes if you are just sinking your teeth into them. Good luck filling the groups guys
  14. no matter what day this lands on, it isn't going to be great for everyone. we have 3 raid groups, garunteed one of them wouldnt be raiding on the day this landed seeing as we raid every day of the week.
