TY, not a bad idea. Still curious about the future of game cards though.

My wife went out to buy some games cards for me for my birthday. I have used game cards exclusively to play the game since launch because I do not want to give my credit card number. She found that Gamestop no longer carries them because they consider the game completely free and Target does not seem to be restocking them. Wallmart still had many. I want to remain a subscriber and do not want to get into a pay-to-play situation with Cartel Coins for the same reason that I do not use a credit card to subscribe to the game. BW, are game cards going to be phased out as a way to pay for the game?

Thanks so far. Looking for news on the strength of the Improved Power Conversion module. I have always leaned heavy on this one.

I have not been super impressed with the Grade 7 upgrades for star ships. Not any huge changed from my high end grade 6. I few points plus or minus here and there and 50 less missiles but with more damage (but damage of last missile set was not listed) I have not picked up the power conversion or emp pods yet. What is the difference? The emp still only lasts for 15 seconds. Is it a faster cooldown? What is the improvement on the power conversion? How much power to blasters? Does this take even more from shields or less? I have tired new space missions and failed (granted I'm a sucky pilot) but it is a part of the game I like and if having all the grade 7 upgrades will help I would like to know to what extent it will help my poor skills.

I do not think the time card coins is tied in any way to when you cash in the card. I received my monthly 500+ coin amount on Dec 1 along with an email reminding me that I was being "paid". I am expecting more coins again around Jan 1 regardless of when I cash in my next card as long as my subscription stays active. If my theory is wrong, I will join the rest of the complainers as I sit on hold with customer service. I better get paid since game cards is the most expensive way to subscribe and I should not be punished further because I personally do not like leaving my credit card number lying around online.

My concern is more frequent updates. New content is great, but the game being down all the time being updated and then having to be reupdated when the new patch is launched broken is frustrating. Should we expect more downtime with more updates or has BW found a way to better handle this? Should we expect updates twice a week instead of once (not counting unanounced fixes of course)?

If you hit space bar it will skip cut scene and bring you to the start zone. You will just have to wait for match to start a a little longer. Only figured this out recently. Use it all the time to skip take off and landing cut scenes when traveling to planets. Can also use it to speed through NPC conversations when doing a daily mission for the 12th time.

I just finished Chapter 3 and Port Nowhere has left my galaxy map. I am curious where it went for two reasons: 1. It is mentioned by a companion and a major character in the story as a place where there is money waiting for smugglers. 2. I can still see the hidden ship from Chapter 1. It has not disappeared, so why did Port Nowhere go away?

My brother-in-law (jedi knight) and I (gunslinger) have a similar set up when we team up. As a gunslinger focus on increasing your ranged damage as quickly as possible while giving some to area attacks. Use cover and pick off the mobs that the Jedi jumps into. Keep your pushback abliity and melee attacks handy because things will agro on you more often than the jedi. Gear up for high damage guns as you go. The close melee of jedi and ranged attacks of smuggler are a great combo and you will continue to be able to wreck stuff.

Completely finish? As in Chapter 3 done or just completing the class missions on Belsavis?

bah. and that vendor had nothing great to buy. Can I transfer Quesh Coms to another planet?

Are the only Quesh commedation vendors on the planet? I cannot find one at the Fleet. I have a bunch of commedations but nowhere to spend it.

Is there any official timeline on when the patching issue will be resolved and/or will manual update downloads ever be provided in the meantime to help those suffering this issue to get back in the game? I have been told by CS several times it is being worked on, but I and many others still suffer from not being able to update the game after weekly patches. This leads to hours/days of troubleshooting instead of being able to play the game. The most reliable solution is to find a friend with a clean updated game from which to copy the patch material. This is a huge inconvenience to your customers. This is analogous to going the gas station to fill up, but the pump not working for you personally, so you having to siphon gas from a friend’s car who filled up at the same station to actually get full tank.

Why is nyalsteel so hard to come by? I only get it maybe one in ten missions. Armstech give purple schematics which need this research compound, but it is way too rare for a level one material.
