    Smokescreen is more or less useless. Even as a passive. The interrupt immunity will let you fire off one 1.5 second cast without being interrupted and start on the next one. Still wont help against someone pushing you back. And not being leaped to for 2.5 seconds changes nothing except guarantee the opponents gap closer will be off cooldown while they cheese you with a 30m ability.
  2. The problem is easily solved. Make it so that you need 4 or 8 people if you want to premade. If you only got 3 friends then you get arenas all day long against other 4 man premades. If you have 7 friends then you get normal warzones vs other 8 man premades. People queuing solo that don't have friends will meet other people that don't have friends. You could even balance out the composition and have a hidden ranking system going determining player skill. The queues might become a bit slower but I'd rather have enjoyable fights than one sided steamrolling. That way everyone will be happy. If you don't have 3 or 7 friends but like queuing with people you know then though ****. Just get more friends. Kind of what people premading tells solo queuers. I for one would welcome 8 vs 8 premade warzones.

  4. Wow I never thought I'd see people QQ that mercs are OP and needs to be nerfed. If you can't kill a merc 1 vs 1 you are bad. In fact you should probably uninstall.
  5. People still play healing commando? I got the hint with 4.0 when key abilities were bugged out for weeks. Switched to gunnery and have not looked back.
  6. So the PVE community in contrast to the PVP community is a nice little care bear hug group? They wont rage at me for not reading up on ops beforehand, stand in red circles on the floor or actually have passable performance in the ops? They wont rage at me if I cause a wipe with only 4% left on the boss fight? Because just reading fleet chat I get the impression the pve community is an elitist bunch of douchebags. Because why else would you need hard mode achievements to queue for story mode ops through the group finder? Or optimised 220 gear or whatever the best pve gear that drops.
  7. Sure but when I interrupt a melee I should also be able to lock out the melee from using any abilities too. It's only fair. Oh and I also want 3 lives on my commando when we are at it.
  8. They are exploiting by using an old instancing bug. I have to say during my years on ToFN I've rarely seen max level people gank lowbies there. The people that used to do it never had pvp gear or were good in the first place so I usually just logged into an alt and corpse camped them until they logged off.
  9. In a 1 vs 1 situation and sometimes 2 vs 1 it has some use in kiting as arsenal/gunnery. But you need to bait the opponent to use their stun break so you can net them. You also have to more or less pair it with HO to break roots and then pretty much pop your every dcd because they will be on to you within a few globals. When left as a node guard the net is often off cooldown and you will be able to kite and do 1 vs 1 or stall until help comes. Without net off cooldown it's useless since every melee class got a way or two to close the distance. The heroic utility is useless because it starts counting from you jump so you only have 2.5 seconds interrupt immunity and almost every melee class got a way to close the distance that doesn't involve targeting you. In a group brawl situation I'd say it's close to worthless outside quickly escaping other ranged classes focus. If it broke roots, rooted people within a 4m area from where you jump for 1 or 2 globals and maybe made you immune for damage during the leap and 1.5 seconds after the leap it would instantly become a game changer for mercs and commandos.
  10. Alright have done some 50+ warzones the past few days and these are my observations. I turned up all graphic settings to max except shadows which I turned off. Queshball has in general ability lag and poor fps. The more sorcs and assassins you add to the mix the worse it becomes. Hypergate is fine until you get more than 4 sorcs in the warzone. If I have 4 sorcs in hypergates I get queshball experience. The other warzones in general never dip below 40 fps as long there are less than 6 sorcs in the warzones. And I had a few games with no sorcs at all (republic queuing) and I never dipped below 60 fps. This is anecdotal evidence but it seems my pvp experience get better the less inquisitors there are in the warzone. Something must be up with the abilities with that class. It appears the amount of consulars do nothing to affect fps negatively.

    Try playing on a pvp server. I don't think I've seen a single person on either team queuing in raid gear gimping themselves on ToFN. And you never need a premade or healer even on the republic faction to win against premades there. Guess there are perks playing on a low pop pvp server where you recognize the names on your team.
  12. I guess it's because of all the sorcs and their demanding graphical effects. I had a level 65 warzone yesterday where there wasn't a single sorc or sage present and only 1 assassin. Rarely dipped below 40 fps. I can only see one solution to fix this and that's to nerf the inquisitor and consular so no one ever wants to play them because an engine fix wont happen.
  13. I need to find something else that I consider "fun" before unsubbing though and I haven't bothered doing the single player missions yet on any character. Just did and still get 100fps on Rishi. In fact I just maxed everything and get 90fps on Rishi lol. Enter a warzone and I dip to single digit fps. I sometimes have smooth warzones with 40+fps but they are in the 10-30 pvp bracket. And my fps numbers looked way better before 4.0 even though they weren't amazing.
  14. I'm already running at very low graphics settings. In fact my 5 year old computer with worse single core performance runs the game just as well or bad in warzones. I get 150fps in my stronghold and areas with little activity which leads me to just confirm for the 10 millionth time that the game engine is garbage. I will give bioware or whomever cares (lol) 2 to 3 months to improve my situation then I'll just unsub and save $200/month on cartel coins.
  15. I average 15-25 fps in most warzones. I will dip down to 5-9 fps depending on the amount of sorcs in the warzone. My current system is: I7-5820k @ 3.7GHz 64GB RAM (entire game is loaded into a RAM disk) Nvidia gtx 970 According to the fps meter my game is bottlenecked by my GPU. However if I change all graphics settings to low everywhere and turn off everything pretty much I still get the same fps numbers and the fps counter still suggest the GPU is the problem. Here is what the colors of the fps counters mean and what the numbers mean: Red = Rendering bound/Video Card Green = Simulation bound/CPU Yellow = Mix of both Current FPS (Lowest FPS over the last 10 seconds or so)
