  1. I more or less have had a break since february but will try out the game again as I arrived to a populated server again :-) Cheers anyway!
  2. I subbed for 6 months, bought the CE and everything, and I have not played this game now since end of january or beginning of february and when the sub goes out I'm not coming back. When I started to play swtor I was quite naive and also advocated to be careful with a LFR/LFD tool from the game. However after I had tried very hard to find people to group up for just simple hardmode flashpoints I changed my mind and thought it would be a great addition to have a server-wide LFR/LFD tool to be able to do some runs. Now I think that Blizzard have really shown how great the LFR/LFD tool really is and I STRONGLY advice you to implement it. So my story is that I played since release and got to 50. I did some PvP but I just didn't like it because on my server we ran the absolute majority of the matches in HuttBall since the server imbalance was just horrible. So I gave PvE a chance and boy that converted my gametime to a really FRUSTRATING EXPERIENCE. I logged in at fleet because that was the only place you could form any kind of group for flashpoints at all. I spammed general chat and I spend HOUR AFTER HOUR to form a group for some hardmode flashpoints. Some nights I even had to give up and that was just SUCH A GREAT EXPERIENCE to spend my spare time for HOURS getting in contact with the NON-EXISTING COMMUNITY that you speak so warm about here. So to the server-humping people who thinks that running flashpoints should be a server-only community experience I'm just telling that you can have it for yourself because I won't be spending any more nights begging other people to run a flashpoint with me any more at all. I will ask a few questions just to make a few points. 1) Why are Bioware NOT FORCING people to spamming general chat to do PvP while they force us who wants to PvE to do so? 2) Why can I as PvP player just queue up from ANYWHERE get zoned there and do my thing then get zoned back right where I was before I joined the PvP match? 3) Why do you think PvP is/was so IMMENSLY MUCH MORE POPULAR activity as compared to getting forced to sit in a chat finding out 2 hours later that you could not find people for a SILLY HARDMODE RUN? 4) Do you expect a person who never raided or done dungeons before to think that it's SO FUN to be FORCED to sit in a fleet spamming /1 for HOURS finding out that they just FAIL to make groups for just a simple hardmode run? There is no mistake to make a LFD/LFR. The mistake is to not provide the community with the tools so people can /friend x-realm and whisper to create a living community instead of a dead one. Forcing people to an old system spamming chat is just not done today in a modern MMO. Blizzard devs have said that LFD/LFR has been an ASTOUNDING SUCCESS when it comes to encouraging people to raid and now with MoP they are fixing loot mechanics in LFR to solve issues with ninjaing which makes it even better than it has been so far. Besides that they hinting to "fix" community mishaps by making sure that you can friend people x-realms and join up with them later and do more dungeon runs and/or raids even if you are located x-realm. The really hard encounters are left for people on the same server/guild which encourages like-minded pepople to gather up at the same server anyway. Hence customers are paying server transfers and Blizzard gains more money. So they realized that LFR/LFD is a true success and EXPANDED the community instead of just thinking or forcing players under the dogma that one server should rule them all. Now as I said before you can shout all you want for keeping the PvE endgame for crazy non-social fanatics who think it's fun to sit in fleet DOING NOTHING AT ALL BUT SPAMMING GENERAL CHAT TO TRY TO HAVE FUN. But I'm so done with it that I won't even think about coming back before they announce BOTH cross server LFFP AND LFR. Have fun without me in your dying "community" that you try to defend almost to the point of retardation... I know I'm not alone leaving the game in the same way and there are other options for me where I actually can have fun so BYE BYE!
  3. You know that many people who are leveling are actually rerolling a new toon because there is NOTHING to see at 50. And it's been like that all the way back since december so it seems to me that the awesome community that you are refering to is indeed VERY SLOW in getting to 50. Altogether you can summarize this game as this: Questing is great and leveling is an awesome solo experience. Endgame sucks balls so when you hit 50 the game is dead. You are wrong in many ways about WoW. I was there as well trying to spam /1 for a dungeon run while leveling and it sucked balls. You ended up ignoring every single instance all the way to max level and then everything boiled down to just pvp. As I noted before Blizzard devs have said that LFD/LFR has been awesome when it comes to encouraging people to raid and now for MoP they are fixing the loot issues with ninjaing which makes it even better than it has been so far. Besides that they are "fixing" the community by making sure that you can friend people x-realms and join up with them later and do more dungeon runs and/or raids. So they essentially EXPANDED the community instead of just thinking that one server should rule them all. I didn't want it to fail either but it's almost to the point where they already succeeded with that. And I think that one of the reasons is that the game is really a single player game in a MMO tapping. They did not bring a modern approach to run dungeons which essentially ended up with a toon at 50 with nothing to do except to PvP where you only could do HuttBall due to HEAVY faction imbalances on pretty much every single server. And let me ask you this.... WHY DON'T THEY FORCE PVP PLAYERS TO SIT AND SPAM THE *********** GENERAL CHAT LIKE THEY DO TO THOSE WHO WANTS TO RUN DUNGEONS??? Why can I as PvP player just queue up from ANYWHERE get zoned there and do my thing then get zoned back right where I was before I joined the PvP match? And the last question: Why do you think PvP is/was so IMMENSLY MUCH MORE POPULAR activity as compared to getting forced to sit in a chat finding out 2 hours later that you could not find people for a SILLY HARDMODE RUN? So I found out after about one month at 50 that there is really nothing more I can do at 50 besides logging in on a flashy client and doing buggy Ilum quests and doing all those single-player ship quests. Those quests got me tagged for another week until even this got me bored since it's really just single player. There is not a mistake to make a LFD/LFR. The mistake is to not provide the community so people can /friend x-realm and whisper to create a living community instead of a dead one. To satisfy the server-hoggers I would suggest to keep the very hardest content only available for people from the same server to play. For people who never raided before the entry point would simply be the LFR community where people can do /friend and whisper to do more LFR raids or dungeons and when they "are ready" for the "real deal" (hard dungeon runs) Bioware offers the opportunity of paid server transfers and people start to gather up for the harder content which is a MODERN way of creating a community. This is an elegant solution to the problem and I don't really understand how you can defend an old system spamming /1. Do you expect a person who never raided or done dungeons before to think that it's SO FUN to be FORCED to sit in a fleet spamming /1 for HOURS finding out that they just FAIL to make groups for just a simple hardmode run?
  4. This is the reason why I stopped playing even if I subbed for 6 months. I got to 50 and I was DEAD SICK of sitting in a *********** cantina spamming /1 and hoping to get one group that same evening just for some hardmode dungeon run. Just FYI Blizzard said that both LFD and LFR have been one of the most successful features now in game for a long time. Why? Because people who NEVER raided before suddenly started to raid. Yes the content is easier and yes there are loot issues with ninjaing but they are changing the loot mechanics now in LFR to solve the problems there and guess what... I actually think I will be going back because it is a very annoying FACT that the precious "community" that people are defending almost to the point of retardation is just non-existing in this game... Besides I prefer sitting in Stormwind/Orgrimmar in a queue knowing that I *will* be able to raid than sitting in a dead fleet knowing I can't do a **** except to roll another toon.
  5. There really aren't great resources for exact droprates and so... But there are two major databases out that I use frequently Darth Hater's database : http://db.darthhater.com/ TORHead : http://www.torhead.com/ Eventually people will comment on items there but since the game is so new I think you just got to wait before the drops are fully documented.
  6. Hello Bioware, I got a few ideas of just minor changes that will improve the LFG system a lot for me. I think that these changes can be partially implemented and still improve the system a lot. Advocate the use by adding a LFG button just like you have the PvP button at the rightside corner of the minimap Make a separate window for LFG and don't use the Who tab for it The LFG Comment should be a lot wider so make it possible to either resize the "window" or just make the "LFG window" larger so you actually can read what people write there. Right now the text is just chopped off. Make sure that only people who are looking for a group are listed in the LFG window. Keep "Search Terms" input... that is good Make it possible to "scroll" for the people who are looking for a group. This "scroll" can be exactly like the one you have in the Galactic Trade. You just press next/previous of the current list with applied search term filters. Add a checkbox that asks somthing like : "Only look for others on this planet". If you unclick this the list will server wide. Add a level range text box just like you have in Galactic Trade so you quickly can filter out what you want. Set it default to something sane like -3 levels below and +3 levels above my current level when I'm leveling. At level 50 default to 50 as min/max since I think most common uses will be for hardmodes or the group quests in Ilum. Doing these "minor" changes will give us a LFG system that won't require you to rewrite the entire LFG engine and still make it so much easier for us who want to do hardmodes or heroic quests to do so. Also these changes will not "break" any community but rather encourage them since people might actually use the system. It will be easier for me as well to check if there's any point in "waiting/shouting" to create a hardmode group. Otherwise I think this game is great! Cheers, /c
  7. It's also one of the most bugged. I was there yesterday and tried to defeat a super-bugged boss event... we gave up after quite some tries.

    Ranked Warzones?

Arenas at start in TBC was something new that actually opened up for competative gameplay in a MMO setting on a large scale. Eventually the cookie cutter specs with limited choices to what classcombos you can pick etc were ofc unavoidable since it was just 2v2, 3v3 and 5v5 in a setting where there is no other goal whatsoever but to gank the other team. Not too far ago they released rated battlegrounds which didn't destroy PvP at all and became very popular, especially as guild runs. Rated BG is so much more casual friendly compared to raiding where you are expected to come "prepared" with expensive food and consumables and that's why I think it is very popular.
  9. I totally understand the people that group up and want to do something together I really think that's a nice thing that should be advocated. However I suggest that once you choose to join a PvP queue as a group you will end up in a warzone where you meet other people who have joined the queue as a group as well. That way those who want to have a random group can have it and those who prefer to group up in a pvp warzone can do so as well. random vs random premade vs premade
  10. I would like to say that there are damage meters in the game. Just join any warzone and watch the scoreboard.
  11. I have been doing some PvP lately alone without a group and met premades. I totally understand the people that group up and want to do something together I really think that's a nice thing that should be advocated. However I suggest that once you choose to join a PvP queue as a group you will end up in a warzone where you meet other people who have joined the queue as a group. That way I can have my random group where things are a bit more fun and you who prefer to group in a pvp warzone can do so as well. random vs random and premade vs premade cheers /c

    Empires dominate

I think the game should work like this: If I queue alone I get placed in a random warzone. If I queue as a group I get placed in a premade vs premade warzone. premade vs random is just a complete joke anyway and I leave every warzone as soon as I discover it.
  13. In all warzones: Level 10-49 in one group Level 50 separately Diminishing returns on cc. If I queue alone I get placed in a random warzone. If I queue as a group I get placed in a premade vs premade warzone. In huttball: Ball carrier is immune to all forms of rootable CC but is also unable to gain any form of speed enhancing skills when carrying the ball. In essence all forms of zoning quickly from one place to another should be removed for the ball carrier. Knockback is fine on ball carrier. When people use the airstreams surround them in a bubble that temporarily disables all ranged damage until they hit the ground. Ranged needs overall a nerf in huttball because they completely obliterate melee (I'm a sniper)
