  1. One of the dumber writing decisions. You finally make the HK we wanted to replace the disappointment that was HK-51, arguably the most interesting of the new companions to me at least, and then you kill him. Not only that but you hype that Decisions Matter! Then the companion you kill doesn't involve any choices on your part. Just... wow. I hope you're planning to have him repaired by someone and he returns, because otherwise, this was just dumb.
  2. Umm, if you want to see actual gameplay, login and play? I don't know what some people think is going to be different.
  3. I'm sure it's been said, but I'll say it again: Acklay mount!
  4. Number one: We clearly need an Acklay mount. Number two: *I* need Lana's new armor. This is exactly the armor look I've been wanting for a Sith. Almost exactly, close enough it'd make me happy. I mean we all need it of course... but still. Thank you for your time! Or not if you ignored this, thanks away though.
  5. Personally I see Cathar as a good excuse to do Red Dwarf references endlessly.
  6. The thing I love about these two speeders is they actually have some character. I've been pretty disappointed in new speeders often just being a different color scheme, which is a choice I always felt should have been available from the player side from the beginning but I understand how things go. I would definitely like to see this trend in speeder design continue and extend to some other styles. Before I post this though I'll just say especially nice work on the Czerka desert special, I've always disliked that style of speeder (and most of the standing ones in general) but this version actually makes it something I enjoy using. Thanks.
  7. Not soon enough. And remember, the success of the Cathar means eventual success for your race.
  8. It occurs to me that people with actual skill at pvp wouldn't be complaining. I suppose it must be a real downer to find out that you weren't awesome and it was just your abundance of time spent grinding for gear that let you think you were some sort of pvp superstar. Personally when I'm in pvp I prefer to know it's my knowledge and skill with my class verses the other person's skill with their class. Then again I can understand some people can't handle the fact that if they lose it's now their fault and not "Oh, this person had better gear than me!" I feel a bit like Cartman with Scott Tenorman reading this thread, your tears, they're so delicious.
  9. The thing that is beyond hilarious, is I watched the E3 video and said to myself: Well this will cost about $20, same with my friends. Instead some of it has actually been free, gasp! How do you people function on the planet Earth when you fail so badly at using past experience to arrive at a reasonable conclusion about a similiar future event? Oh, wait, I know how you function; you basically stand around yelling "Rabblerabblerabble" as loudly as you can while threatening to leave the game.
  10. "What happened?" "He tried to block my lightsaber with his hands. It was a bit downhill for him after that."
  11. Just expand your chat window to a decent size and it honestly shouldn't be a problem. Then again a good chunk of my nerdy childhood was spent with IRC based RP so, yeah, doesn't bother me one bit.
  12. I don't recall watching the E3 video and thinking "Yay, free stuff! There's no way I'll be paying for a new planet and new race!" Though I did think I wouldn't be paying that much, and I'll be damned if I wasn't correct. $10.00 was pretty much the price point I expected, if not $20. Then again I expected everything in that video to come out together and be lumped together, instead we've gotten HK, the new warzone, and whatever that new raid was I think? Not big on repeating flashpoints/operations so... yeah. That's boring to me and I didn't pay attention. If you sit around being this pissed at the game, why are you still playing? Because you love it that much? I've enjoyed a lot of games but I've always reached a point where it was time to play something new and leave it behind or at least take a break. When you sit around being angry about stuff in the game that's a good sign you need a break. It's not healthy folks.
  13. Here's a thought: Judge the damned thing when it's nearly released and you actually know what it's bringing to the table. Just a crazy wild idea, but then again this is an MMO forum those seem to require common sense to stay at least 1,000 feet away. Supposedly the quests on the planet are actually going to be more telling the world story than one off quests. I'll believe it when I see it, but for the love of god you people can't stop saying the sky is falling. And wow, and someone just bought GW2? Enjoy that... for about a month. Say what you want about TOR, but I've enjoyed it for the better part of a year. Then again that's just me. GW2 had awful voice acting, terrible story telling, no lightsabers, and every class was pretty damned boring by the time you got halfway through it. I reached a point in the main quest where I pretty much just said "Yeah, I'm done, this is awful." Story is what keeps me playing a game, not repeating the same boring quests, not grinding for new gear, not having some stupid status symbol to show off. So sue me, I enjoy quality voice acting and some decent storytelling. I didn't sit around in the GW2 forums nonstop going on about all the things I disliked or how I was quitting or blah blah blah. A sure sign you're getting older: Your tolerance for other people's stupid crap drops to very low levels.
  14. Isn't that pretty much the definition of a hater though? Some people in this world are built to be unhappy no matter what. Most of these same people would be whining 2 years from now when everything they whine about now isn't around. They'll go to another game and whine in the same fashion. It's what they do, it's their thing, it's the nature of the MMO community and largely the gamer community as a whole. I don't like it, so it's terrible goes the general though process. They'll whine when Blizzard put's out a new MMO, if it's different they'll complain it's too different. If it's quite a bit like WoW they'll whine it's not different enough. They'll whine that it's dark and cold then they'll cry that it's too bright and hot. The internet makes a career out of whining, I'm doing it right now! You did it! They do it! So, in the traditional spirit of the internet I say: You're all wrong, I'm right, and if you don't like it I won't read you reply!
  15. Cathar first, something easy supposedly, see how it does and then decide if it's worth it to add more races. Personally I'll gladly pay extra money to unlock playable Trandoshans, Mon Cal, Nautolans, and even Cathar at the moment for the sake of a new race. That and I think Jennifer Hale's voice would go best with a Cathar. I do love "I hate it, thus no one should get it" mentality that's always lurking. I'm not a fan of Togruta which is basically just another human reskin, but I don't go around saying it shouldn't be in the game. Still, I had my heart set on a Trandoshan back when hardly anything was known about this game. Honestly, if it was a playable race in SWG it should've been a playable race here.
