  1. I'm not sure if this has been noticed or discussed before. I did a forum search for it, but it came up empty. I've already submitted an in-game bug report about it, but thought I should post it here too, as it seems very odd to me that this has not been noticed before. Versatile Armoring 36 +88 Mastery & +74 Endurance Resistive Armoring 36 +91 Mastery & +97 Endurance Now, maybe I'm missing something, but my experience with buying mods is that the Versatile kinds have a higher Mastery add than the Resistive kinds do, and the Resistive kinds have higher Endurance adds than the Versatile kinds. At least, that has been my experience when buying them from the other mod vendors of different levels. So, why does THIS one have a lower Mastery add than its Resistive counterpart? If this isn't a mistake or bug, then why would anyone bother with Versatile Armoring 36 mods when Resistive Armoring mods have the higher stats? This doesn't make any sense to me, unless its a bug or something that's been overlooked by Bioware.
  2. Yup, that's right! There's no PvE anymore either. So, since the servers have no designations anymore, anyone playing this game is doing it wrong. EVERYONE!!! Well, there are PvE and PvP instances now, but since there are no RP instances, I guess us RPers are doing it wrong. Bioware doesn't give a crap about RPers, why should the majority of players? One thing I do agree with, though. Harassment is harassment. Only thing you can do is /ignore them. I've been on this server since beta testing, and I'm not going anywhere, either. I still see plenty of RP happening on this server. I would say I see more and more as time progresses. Don't let the harassers get under your skin. Its exactly what they want, as it makes them feel better about their pathetic lonely lives. Just realize that they're doing it to spread their misery, as misery loves company, and they can only feel big by making others feel small. As was said earlier in this thread, its all Bullying 101. Bullies feed my laughter.
  3. There's no way to enforce PvP in a PvE instance or PvE in a PvP instance either, but that didn't stop them from implementing them. Wow, they gave us the ability to create custom chat channels to support RP. Gee, no MMO has EVER introduced custom chat channels before. And, of course, the ever elusive character chat bubbles. If they could implement that, then I might believe they think RP is "very, very important" and that we're "not at all forgotten". Until then, actions speak louder than words, Bioware.
  4. You must be really enjoying this. Thank you for teaching me that people on the internet can be sarcastic, say anything, and lead you down the garden path. If it wasn't for you, I would NEVER have known people on the internet can lead you down the garden path. Tora, tora, tora!!!
  5. There's nothing wrong with asking questions of this nature on the forum for the server in question. Some people don't want to waste weeks of time on a server that's not right for them. I speak from over 11 years of experience in various MMOs. There's nothing I hate more than investing time in a server that's a ghost town. I know you've been in this game for a while, and on this server in particular as I remember you from a few years back. You could easily speak to people here of your experience on this server and give others your opinion to consider. Why you refuse and actively discourage others from asking questions of this nature is beyond me. It doesn't make sense. You honestly think I take what people say here as set in stone? They are opinions to consider, and nothing more. There is absolutely nothing wrong with fishing for the opinions of others. At least I was willing to give this fellow my opinion of the server, what little knowledge I have. Maybe if people got a more friendly reception from you, and shared your opinion of the server, they might be more likely to consider your advice. But, I have to admit, you DID give people your advice, as short and brusque as it was.
  6. Three posts, of you telling me what I should be doing. It would seem you are indeed opposed to me asking about server pop and activity. Just accept that I reject your "suggestions" and move on. Right, capitalization, my mistake.
  7. Ignore this guy. He's belongs to the school of "Don't ask questions, just plod ahead in ignorance!" All I know about this server so far is that there are guilds recruiting, people looking for guilds, and gold-spammers. I've been here about 2 weeks so far, and still couldn't answer you about server pop. I don't hang around in fleet all day & all night to find out. I've tried asking here myself, and have only gotten this guy to answer. Which leads me to believe this server is pretty much dead.
  8. I don't see why you're so opposed to me asking here. Unless it just sticks up your craw that someone isn't doing things your way, and now its doing so even more that I don't agree. Get it through your head. I ASKED HERE BECAUSE I DON'T WISH TO SPEND WEEKS HERE (in all likelihood, probably months) INVESTING TIME ON A SERVER THAT MIGHT NOT MEET MY GAMING NEEDS (or wants, whatever you want to call them). But in a way, you're right. Perhaps I should ask on other server forums where there is less of a chance of running into a tool who will try to convince me that even asking is completely inane. And yes, I will read what people post in answer, and weigh their OPINIONS in making my decision. I've already weighed your opinion, and can already see one reason why this server is probably not the right choice for me. Really? You're gonna carry on about a guy who writes in italics? You already have one guy on your ignore list because of it. Why not do us all a favour and just add another. I'm sure not all of us want to keep hearing you carry on about it.
  9. I'd like to find some guilds to roleplay and socialize with. If server pop here is so light that my chances are not very good, what's the point in investing time on a server where I won't find it? Why wouldn't I want to get the most out of my money and transfer to a server where roleplay is more common? Maybe spending weeks on a server to find it isn't right for you is the way you like to do things, but I try to exhaust all sources of info as well. There's no harm in asking questions. Knowledge is power!
  10. Well, yeah, done that. I see there is some guild recruitment going on. Still, I'm playing all low lvls right now plus I just came back to the game. Haven't had enough time to gauge server pop. I thought I'd ask here instead of playing in-game for weeks. AHHH!!! Text wall! Where is this Community site where people go to more?
  11. Wow, it kinda dead around here. I guess the forums are not as active as they used to be. That's too bad. Thanks for the welcome back, FlameYOL, I appreciate it. Is the server as dead as the forums. Give it to me straight, I can take the truth. Are the East Coast servers the place to be? Is the West a desert?
  12. After being away for over 2 years, I finally gave in and came back. Started playing SW:TOR during late beta testing, and played for two years before leaving to play EVE online. I have to say, I'm impressed with the changes made to the game. Strongholds! Guild ships! Oh my! I'm glad I came back. EVE is a good game, but it does get boring after a time. I've made 9 characters, 8 of whom I made just to experience all the storylines. I've only experienced the Sith Warrior and Jedi Consular storylines, and am playing them again. I'm hoping to find a guild on each side, a home for my light-side Mercenary, and one for my cyborg Jedi Shadow [he actually isn't a Jedi, just a cyborg who knows how to use a double-bladed lightsaber, or so he says ] Its good to be back!
  13. No, this isn't a rage-quit thread. Or a whiny unsubscriber's thread. Well, maybe a bit whiny, but having been here since the beginning, and having been part of the community here, I felt I should say goodbye, and why I'm saying it. My family and I have been playing since late beta back in October of 2011. We've subscribed ever since then, never missing a month, until now. We have come to realize that Bioware only pays this game lip service, making big promises, then making small deliveries, if they deliver at all. To me, it seems this game is run by politicians. They take our money, and give so little back. From bugs they can't seem to ever fix, to ridiculous and malicious pricing on the Cartel Market. Makeb killed the Jedi experience with enemies chaining knockbacks and rifle-butt stuns. I didn't feel like I was playing a Jedi anymore, more like a half-baked merc with a glow stick that is barely useful. The straw that broke the camel's back for me, was when we saw dye kits up on the CM, for the same price as the Makeb expansion. Dye kits that could only be used once. A blatant attempt to gouge impulse spenders. Now, instead of spending the money to improve the game, they are sinking it into advertising. We've had enough, and we are cancelling our 3 accounts. We are not moving on to another MMO, we've just had our fill of broken promises and poor decisions being made in the development of this game. It just isn't worth money anymore. I wish I could say different, but the writing is on the wall. Yeah, we had some fun along the way, but the fun is over, time to leave. Goodbye, SW:TOR, I enjoyed my Jedi for a time. Goodbye, Begeren Colony, we enjoyed you as our MMO home. Goodbye, Bioware, it saddens me to realize this will be the last Bioware game I ever play. Goodbye, forums, I enjoyed our past verbal sparring. Goodbye, SirCopperfield, you made us all laugh till it hurt. May the Force be with you all, always. Sincerely, Brian a.k.a. CaptRavenous a.k.a.
