  1. You're totally entitled to your opinion of course, but in a game where the devs seem to spend most of their time dreaming up new loot boxes it seems odd that they won't give more leeway to free players. When I pre-ordered this game I was excited at the prospect of a massive Star Wars MMO, only to be thoroughly disappointed when 90% of the players walked away in the first year. I would have loved a sub-only game, stuffed with content and buzzing with players. It's not what happened. In this decade you have to understand that players aren't like we were 10 or 15 years ago. The majority are not going to throw down a monthly sub for years on end to the same game. Read Damion Schubert's Twitter thread on lockboxes. If 10% of your player base actually spends money on your game you're doing pretty well. That's what normal looks like these days. It's about getting the "massive" in MMO. Having to merge servers yet again to get enough players in one place to get PvP queues to pop in a reasonable time limit is not the sign of a thriving successful game.
  2. Welcome to the 1990s. This is not how the gaming industry works any more. There are far too many good free to play games out there to stand here shouting "Subscribe or G T F O" which is pretty much what this game does. It's one of the big reasons we've ended up with another round of server merges and a steadily declining player base.
  3. City of Heroes had hundreds of great stories and was infinitely more re-playable than this game will ever be. /em HoldTorch
  4. You're really saying we should take poor functionality because they might **** it up? Not a very positive approach. I'm thoroughly disappointed I can't spend my credits from the consolidated pool, makes it close to useless. As the OP notes, it's barely a step above the existing mailing credits to alts.
  5. Nuine remembers Hydian Way -> Nightmare Lands -> Red Eclipse And now on to Darth Malgus I guess...
  6. This bloke gets it. More weasel words from Musco.
  7. And this wasn't discovered because the test team is just one bloke in the corner poking things randomly? *cough*PTS*cough*
  8. Wow, this is all the things I've been thinking for the last year or so. Since KotFE dropped I've really struggled to justify paying a monthly sub for a sub-par single player RPG. In fact since KotFE dropped I've spent more time playing Skyrim that cost me a tenner than in SWTOR. I used to put 25 hrs a week into SWTOR, now it's about 2-3 hours per month.
  9. You will continue to be a subscriber until the time you have paid for expires.
  10. Sorry, but that's just nonsense. I've already levelled all 16 advanced classes to 65 (plus some extras) and you want me to level 8 more? *sigh*
  11. I'm in pretty much the same place as you OP. I've been playing since early access and used to be a 20-30 hours a week player. Now I barely hit 2-3 hours a month. I've run all the advanced classes to level cap at least once. I love the vanilla class stories, but I find the KOTFE episodes have pretty much no replayability. I pushed 4 of 22 alts through chapters 1-9, a couple of those made it through chapter 10. I've just had no interest in playing further as running through a couple of corridors between cut-scenes gets old really quickly. At the moment I have no idea why I have a sub running. I should probably spend that money somewhere else...
  12. You heard it here folks, new tier, higher collections unlock price...

  14. I just looked back at my Cartel Coins history to see if there was a pattern to when I actually get my complimentary grant. I used to sub every 30 days and got my CC every 30 days. As expected. Nearly a year ago I switched to the 90 day sub and since then have been granted my coins every 33 days instead of every 30 Date Description Days Since Last Payment 16/03/2016 Subscriber Monthly Grant: 550 Cartel Coins 33 12/02/2016 Subscriber Monthly Grant: 550 Cartel Coins 33 10/01/2016 Subscriber Monthly Grant: 550 Cartel Coins 33 08/12/2015 Subscriber Monthly Grant: 550 Cartel Coins 33 05/11/2015 Subscriber Monthly Grant: 550 Cartel Coins 33 03/10/2015 Subscriber Monthly Grant: 550 Cartel Coins 33 31/08/2015 Subscriber Monthly Grant: 550 Cartel Coins 33 Whether that's deliberate on their part or just poor coding of their systems, you decide...
