  1. My favorite (though it's a very close call) would have to be Xanthe Elbrick as the female Inquisitor - she's able to add this almost melodic quality to some of her lines which can be profoundly unsettling, perfect for when the Inquisitor is manipulating events. Though what I like is that when you get the dialogue option for it, she also manages to sound convincingly caring about something or someone. Close second would by Jo Wyatt as the female Agent.
  2. I don't know - looking back at how desolate the servers were before, it could simply be that people got used to soloing everything and just need to re-acclimatize to the fact that this is an MMO, not a single-player RPG. I basically stopped all grouping activity three-four months ago when the population on my server took a nosedive so I think it'd take a little getting used to.
  3. Oh that gives me the most wonderful mental image. Both the Wrath and Nox, realizing they've been swinging their sabers/hurling lightning around for days stop and go: "Ok, time - out, we need a coffee...and why are we fighting again?"
  4. Yeah it looks terrible. It's made even worse if you play a female character because it suddenly becomes sleeveless with a bare midriff then. BioWare - breaking their own characters with chainmail bikinis since 2011...
  5. I wonder why this topic was even started, actually. I mean it's interesting to speculate as a theoretical exercise, but since it's doubtful BioWare will be able to work the scenario with the current structure of the game it does seem pointless. We're all making comments based on our own bias and/or enjoyment of the two stories, after all. On a personal note, a much more interesting encounter would be if the reform-minded light side Sith Warrior became aware of a Darth Nox experiencing doubts about the dark side and the nature of the Empire. A dark sided reform-minded Sith Inquisitor is the most interesting take on the character I can think of. Even if the Inquisitor has lived the dark side her whole life, her slave background is a great motivator for her desiring reform. Interesting thought experiment, pardon the tangent.
  6. Ahh, the title best suited to my character. If only most of the high-end gear wasn't LS or DS restricted. Makes it insanely hard to RP the character you want in a systems design hell bent on forcing you towards one polar spectrum or the other But I assume we all know who we're talking about for the purpose of the discussion
  7. "So what'll it be, we're to be two immortals locked in combat until judgment day?"
  8. Darth Nox, because she can't die. Thanaton tried his hardest on Dromund Kaas. A Darth Nox who still has the ghosts after the endgame can't be killed. This is defined by the story itself. And given that the only person who could teach the rituals of Ergast is Ergast himself (who's trapped in Nox) and with the rituals of Tulak Hord being in Khem-Zash, it's doubtful the Wrath would have any idea about how to get rid of said ghosts. Plus, unlike Lord Drahg, I don't see Darth Nox boasting about her power, she'd simply get up again or reappear later as was the case at the beginning of Act 2 of the Inquisitor storyline. So it is questionable who would even know about what's going on with her. The new Wrath's main abilities are their martial skills and aptitude for manipulating the passions of others (like with Jaesa), though it is hard to put this into any practical framework for comparison since Darth Nox also has plenty of opportunities to be manipulative. Player agency is a factor here, I'd say. That being said, I find the whole concept of this fight interesting, though unnecessary. In terms of the story we know the new Emperor's Wrath is in fact not made aware of the Emperor's true plans...will be interesting to see what BioWare does with the story there. If the Wrath knew the Emperor's plan, they should also know that Nox would be one of the few Sith with enough knowledge of the ancient rituals, and the power to help do something about it.
  9. Personally I also found the Inquisitor story to be the one that lent itself best to motivational interpretation when it comes to your character, especially if you're playing as a female character. The VO performance is fantastic and it's probably the first BioWare game where I have not had a moment of thinking: "Oh my character would never say this line like that." And given that my own version of a Sith Inquisitor carries a great deal of admonition towards the current order of things within the Sith and Empire, it's great that you can express that in subtle ways. Though I like how you can actually have her lose her temper, and not just be cruel for the sake of cruel. Makes her much more believable as a character.
  10. If you like stories centering around ancient mysteries and trying to break from your past, then the Sith Inquisitor story is for you. Just be aware that the voice acting is NOT mostly sinister or authoritarian at first, in particular with the male voice actor, there's a greater focus on snarky humor and...upper class lines, I suppose I would call it. Personally I think the female voice actor, Xanthe Elbrick managed to nail the tone I wanted for my Sith - someone who's been kicked around most of her life, but is now given the chance to rise above it, so she grabs it; quite ruthlessly I might add, though she never succumbs to pointless cruelty for the sake of pointless cruelty. So think about what kind of character you want to play and go from there. If you're more into being the underdog who rises through the ranks and ends up a master manipulator, then definitely give the Sith Inquisitor a try. If you want to be a generic "******/evil" type character, then you should try a different class. Edit: Oh and yes, your greatest enemy with the Inquisitor will be BioWare's binary morality meter. Pretty much any quest that doesn't have a specific Inquisitor angle to it, is written as either Evil Sadist/Cuddly Puppylover in terms of DS/LS choices. Hoping we get more...subtle DS options in the future.
