  1. i have a friend of mine who ordered in august and received an invite today. in the last two days they've cleared through the pre-orders from march (which i believe is when pre-orders started) and august (or part of august anyways). it seems like they will be caught up with the pre-order invites by tomorrow by they way its trending. if so then most of the pre-orders will have EAG within the original 5 days as intended. the fact that they were willing to open up EAG even earlier than anticipated gives the impression that their consumer growth exceeded what they originally estimated and they adjusted it accordingly. it seems more like they saw that their was going to be an issue and fixed it before it became a problem. it allows the community to ease into the game to prevent any issues and therefore creating a better experience. EAG in my opinion has been a great strategy all around. i haven't gotten in yet and i can understand the frustration as i am also eager to play, but i see the sense in it all. EAG is being treated on a first come first serve basis. its nothing more than waiting in line on black Friday, the earlier you got there, there closer you were to the front of the line. and just like black Friday do to the growing amount of people attending, they accommodated by opening up even earlier than usual. instead of bashing bioware you should thank them for foreseeing an issue and being proactive about it. instead think about all the problems they prevented by doing this like possible server crashes, ridiculous log-in ques do to bottle necking, over crowded starting areas where you fight to talk to npc's or waiting around for mobs to spawn only to have some doofus who just showed up tag it before you can. they opened up even earlier than anticipated, wait your turn, get in and enjoy. they did it as a courtesy and as a preemptive strike to a foreseeable issue. try to find something to do in the mean time, to make the time pass by.
