  1. Had a discussion with my guild last night about addons from WoW and from other games that would be nice to have in this game, and some people said stuff like threat listings and whatnot, but the major thing for me that I'd like to see is an in-game notepad. It gets pretty annoying having my netbook open while playing on my laptop just so I can look at some website to see which gifts are best for which companions. Or to look up where certain gear comes from each time because my memory sucks. It would be nice to be able to write this stuff down in game and keep it for later. And have it work across your entire account rather than have to rewrite everything for each character. I know it wouldn't cost too much in computer resources to do something like this, since it is essentially just text. In fact it is probably the smallest addon I have for WoW in terms of space because of the very limited stuff it actually does.
  2. I completely agree with this idea and solution simply for the fact that I am really not a fan of while leveling and seeing rewards for my companions, that I have to pick who gets to change into something on each planet. I'd love to have been able to see the entire outfit for a companion before making that decision, especially since the first piece tends to be something like bracers or belts, which don't really say all that much for the overall appearance. Hell, for me I don't even care about the moddable aspect for the most part since I tend to just use one companion anyway and the others just sit around the ship looking pretty. But moddable would be a good idea for those who do use more companions.
  3. I actually thought of the exact same idea a couple weeks ago (didn't post it though). It does get annoying to have to hop back and for to farm materials to mail to your other alts and log back and forth dealing with loading screens and trying to time when crewskills will be done so you can be back on that next alt in time to queue something up right away. The problem I see is that with a legacy storage place, is how it would get bigger. I know if it went in now, I'd want to have the same storage space I have on all my characters ships as it is, and as it is currently, it is cheaper on a character to buy a 2nd tab than it is a 3rd tab, but if you have an account full of characters, how would it work? So let's say I have two characters and one has 3 slots and the other has 2 slots. I buy the 3rd slot on my second character and it costs the same as it did when I bought it on my first character. But let's say that this kind of change went through so that I keep the storage I have, then I would go to buy a new slot, then it couldn't exactly cost the same as a 3rd slot, it would be a 6th slot. And it is possible you had six characters where five had 1 slot and the sixth didn't have a 1st yet. It would be cheaper for the six characters to get 6 slots than two characters getting the 6 slots, and it would be a hell of a lot cheaper than if just one character got all 6 slots.
  4. What I was meaning was that visually you see you have 50% of your bar filled with exp. You see the remaining 50% as rested. But it is possible that the rested extends into the next level and not just to the end of that bar. So you do combat until you finish your level and when you enter the next level, you have more rested exp that was not visible beforehand. I do understand that we can hover over the exp bar to see the number of exp we have remaining in rested, but that doesn't tell the story from a quick glance like my idea would. I will pull numbers out of my butt for this example: You have 500 exp but you need 1000 total to gain a level. At 500 exp you notice that you still have the rest of your bar to 1000 as rested. To gain another level your exp needs to hit 3000. Your exp bar only shows at a glance that you have rested until 1000. You hover over and notice that you still have 1000 exp left rested. That would mean that not only do you have the remaining 50% of this level of rested, but you also have 25% of the next bar when you get to it of rested exp remaining. The truth of the matter is that the numbers are never that clean, so not everyone can do it quickly in their head like that. Visually what you'd have is 25% of the bar as the new color, the next 25% as the normal rested color, and then the remaining 50% as clear like it currently is. If you gain experience just through killing (which is the only way to use rested exp) then that first 25% color stays there and the next portion changes color as it currently does until the end of the bar. Once you gain a level, then that new color changes to clear like it would normally when you gain a level and have rested exp just on that current level remaining. Does that make more sense?
  5. It would be nice if you were able to use your Legacy box to check on exactly what percent and alts' rested experience is at, without having to relog over and over to see it all.
  6. When you are doing Operations or Flashpoints or even any circumstance in which you are not able to have a Companion out, you can't be sure what kind of gear your Companions are wearing. My suggestion is to keep the Companion tab available even without Companions themselves being available like you can with "dressing room"ing your Companions and having the <- -> arrows. But in my suggestion, keep the Companion tab in the [C] tab, even without Companions and that way if gear drops from an Operation or whatever you can go to your Companion tab to see what gear it is currently wearing so that we are actually aware that we aren't just rolling for something they already have, and thus screwing over other peoples' Companions.
  7. I understand that, but let's say just for sake of example that you are at 50% exp to level and the remaining 50% is still rested. You then turn in quests and explore areas and get codex entries and whatever else that is not combat-related and you gain a level. Well, you still have rested EXP. It is entirely plausible that if you were to just do combat until you level, that when you gain the next level, you still have 50% on that next bar of rested EXP available. Well, wouldn't it have been nice to have known that ahead of time? And sure, they could only have 5% rested EXP on the level when they get there, but rested EXP doesn't stop once you level. I think it would be nice to have a visual indicator of such a thing.
  8. 1) Reverse Engineering: a) Show if still possible in crafting screen prior to crafting new object. Meaning, when you go to make an object, it shows either the chance at proccing a new schematic, or it shows in red that you can no longer learn anything from it. b) Show each version you've already made. Meaning, you go to a green item in your list to craft, and you see that you've already learned two of the blue versions of the item because it lists the names of that prefix on the green item, but in blue under the item itself. Same goes with showing the purple prefixes on blue items. 2) Schematics: a) GTN Search Usable. Meaning, you are an x crafter. You search for schematics for your craft, but you are able to search for "usable" schematics. Meaning, it only lists schematics that you do not already currently have learned, and you fulfill the level requirement to learn it. b) Need/Greed Warning. Meaning, you are an x crafter and you are doing an Operation or are in a group of any kind. Schematic for x craft drops and in the schematic itself probably right under it being BoE or BoP, in RED it shows "Already Known" if you already know it, so that you don't need to waste time telling people to wait so you can search through your list to see if you have it before hitting need or greed or being able to tell your raid leader you can go ahead and toss it to the other guy since you just wasted the raids time finding out you already had it.
  9. You mean search as "usable" which would mean those that you do not currently have learned, and you meet the level/alignment requirement for (even though there are no alignment requirements for schematics).
  10. Then you'd have less reason to play alts, which is another time-sink in the game, which they want you to waste time on. Yeah, it would be helpful to not have to use 3 or 4 different characters to gear up another character, but it allows you to experience the story from extra angles.
  11. So currently we have an ugly brownish-orangish color for our exp bar when it isn't rested, and we get another color (blue or green, can't remember) when it is rested, but it only goes as far as the end of the bar. I was thinking that we should be able to have a 3rd color in there in the case that the rested exp actually goes past the bar. Brown - Unrested Green/Blue (whatever it is) - Rested at this level. Purple/Gold/Shiny/etc - Rested at next level Sometimes I will log out ALMOST at the next level just because I am so dang tired and have to sleep, but I will not be sure if I should just level up the next day or wait a few more days to go back to that character to continue leveling it (considering your rested limit moves when you turn in quests, which is why I never know how much I still have when getting close to a level after turning in a bunch of quests).
  12. In the middle of an Op so can't really research it right now, but nobody in my Op is sure on it. Are we gonna be able to buy more character slots? I know we will have to buy back the slots of our alts during F2P, but will we be able to buy a 9th and 10th slot, especially with a new race coming out? Also with F2P, do we buy our character slots back permanently, or will we have to keep paying?
  13. That's pretty much how I see it as well. I'm not the one with PvP gear though, so this isn't about me. It's more that sometimes we can't fill the raid with guildies because we have one person with an item or two of PvP gear even though the rest of their gear is up to par with what is needed. It would be nice if there was a confirmation from a BW poster or something though.
  14. My guild leader is constantly telling the guild that we cannot have anyone in PvP gear in our hard mode or nightmare runs because just one piece of PvP gear will lower their abilities by 10%. That ONE item will basically ruin our day. Whenever I ask for him to show me a link, he says he's proven it with friends, even though others have said it has been proven false. From what I understand, a PvP item on an individual level has maybe 10% less stats to make up for the Expertise being on it. But was there something further where having Expertise on a single item will make everything you do, 10% worse in PvE? I can understand if they came in with full PvP gear, because that would (if 10% per item was correct) mean each item is 10% less, which would mean overall you have 10% less stats to do abilities with, and therefor you'd be 10% worse in PvE, but can ONE item do that?
