Real talk: I only get on this game to play group ranked. I don't do anything else on it anymore after my original guildmates all pretty much quit. But I'd like to gear out other toons that are actually good at yolos for once the season starts up and so I appreciate any teams that queue and give me the opportunity to farm some comms. Because I have no friends and queuing solo for regs makes me sad on the inside.

No I totally think you should let the Tactics VG free cast and focus the sentinel first. He is the Champion of the Sentinels, after all. The VG is just some no name who plays an ezmode spec.

Demolish is the Crushing Darkness replacement you get at like level 57. So you're using that with Wrath stacks instead of Crushing Darkness because Demolish does exactly what CD does but hits harder.

The finisher you're talking about is fine. I'm talking about as part of a rotation, there isn't really a point to using it. Yeah, it's instant cast with 4 stacks of Wrath but it still sets off the 1.5 second GCD after using it. This means that unless you're killing someone with it (the finisher you were talking about), Lightning Strike deals about 3k damage on a non-crit in 1.5 seconds. Force Lightning deals about 4.9k IIRC non-crit over 2 seconds. It also gives you Force instead of consuming it, and adds extra damage via Lightning Burns. That makes Force Lightning simply the superior damage dealing option. If you look at any of the top Madness PvE parses on Parsely you'll see they do this - they'll use Lightning Strike about 15 times and Force Lightning about 55 times. Maximizing DPS.

Don't bother with Lightning Strike and definitely don't bother with Shock. Unless you're taking the Skillful tree talent and then...don't do that, either.

I would say do whatever makes you feel most comfortable. If you like Sceviour's guide then by all means follow his suggestions. I have a different take on what's optimal for gearing though and since Sceviour didn't reply back quickly enough I figured I would share it. I don't want to call someone else out over a difference of opinion though. And I mean, I'm pretty sure there are only seven possible enhancement slots. Head, Chest, Gloves, Pants, Boots, MH, OH. But yeah, I would gear all Adept and one Alacrity. And for ear and implants I would also grab the Adept ones.

I wasn't going to reply because I'm not the OP, but I assume you want an answer quickly and so...I would run 6 Adept enhancements with 1 Alacrity enhancement (whatever that's called.) And 7 Power augments with 7 Alacrity augments. And that's how I will be gearing my sorc once he hits 65 (if you look at the above post, you'll see what my sorc did at level 60 in Dark Reaver.) Credentials? I've been Tier 1 in ranked every season on multiple toons save for last, when I quit the game a week after the season started because Inquisitors are super balanced. I also had the second highest sorc/sage parse in the world pre-4.0 for PvE.

Level 60, 28% Crit, 59% Surge, 6.2% Alacrity And no, the above isn't how I would suggest to gear or claim is optimal.

QQ. We got Core to 6% two weeks ago, then the summer bug hit and the roster boss enraged and we haven't had our A-team since. But yeah, I heard Shadow Council recently dropped Revan, I didn't know you guys were consistently farming it though. That's really cool.

Out of curiosity how many times have you downed Revan/do you have it on farm mode?
