  1. i think i refered to it as a "kinda" iron fist spec...since its close enough but not exactly an iron fist spec...didnt say its a hybrid....i would call it hybrid only cause of the tank spec / dps gear combination..

In many threads in the PT section they say that the iron fist spec is dead..even the guy that invented it said so....BUT..i still play a "kinda" iron fist spec with dps gear, shield offhand and almost tank spec (31/8/2)...even after the 1.3 i still find it the most viable spec of PT class..its a sure win against all classes, cause its durable enough to go inside the battle carbonize ppl and then focus ur target that it will be surely dead after u finish with him even at 3v1 situations (well after that u`ll prolly die since noone will heal u ) its not that viable for a guard...only if u are running a premade and the healer knows that u are gonna need more heals than usual, but u can still help if u play smart with ur sonic missile and sonic dart....so : a) its more durable than the other 2 specs AP and Pyro not as pure tank b) it has really nice dps to be on the first 3-4 places in wzs and still dominate on 1v1 situations, even healers if u play smart ur cc and quell c) not a burst spec, and has medium heat management d) it has pretty nice mobility since u got jet charge, and hydraulic overrides its immune on only half the cc the game has

Hello i have a full WH PT , ironfist speced dps gear with shield generator, i didnt play the game for the last month....so i would like to ask some questions about the stats in pvp so that i would shape up my gear a bit.. So.. a) Is there a soft cap for expertise , surge ,power , crit?...and if there is, what it is for each one of them? b) Is still worth to use custom bracers and belt after the expertise boost? c) Is still the aim/endurance augment the best for the iron fist spec? d) is it better to use pve relics to burst dmg on pvp? e) Are better the relics with the solid stats or those with the dot proc?

Btw the iron fist spec is the usual tank spec dps gear with shield on off hand not the deep advanced prototype one, to the guy that said that SS or rocket punch will crit for 4k still....thats dead wrong...with full WH for about 3+ days didnt see any crit on it over 2.7k that was my highest ,thats about 2k less of my former record pre-1.3 that was about 4,7k... BUT...is still pretty viable..i can still win any random skirmish wile defending an objective and still have ion gas cylinder saving my *** of all that unbalance dmg in game. And of the record i tried the advanced prototype spec those days to spec....that was SUCK big time...it relays on to much abilities that they must 90% of them crit or u are falling to much behind on other classes dps, that can land one critical after the other by spaming 1-2 abilites , the fact that u ware heavy armor doesnt matter so on fights 1v1 against all other dps and tank classes u loose since they land more easy their dmg on u and u get dmg on u for like 2,5 - 6,5 per crit and u will do the most 4k...plus the fact that u are in fact melee dps class on advanced prototype if u go inside the battle u`ll die like a fly only by the aoe dmg flying arround... Oh!..and hydravlic overrides either is bugged or useless...cause u get the 30% speed ONLY wile u use it in battle and at numerous times i got blind/stuned or fear/stuned or root/stuned wile i was under that ability...
  7. I`m full WH combat tech with tank spec and ion cylinder and shield on offhand....and i asked how i could manage my gear now, that im practicaly useless.....and i need 1,5 month to farm my new gear on a rated wz season (thx bioware)..

  9. heh...i tried to understand some of the changes they did to us and expertise through this thread but didnt understand quite much...my english are not that good...but i think i understood the main idea...but i disagree on smth : first of all im tank spec with eliminator full BM set and combatech WH mainhand and a BM shield (bought the eliminator set due to the broken combatech set bonus some months ago), after the 1.2 patch the only diference i saw was that my dps numbers went about 15% up and my death from above 15% down plus 15% less AOE, i dont use that much aoe so that didnt realy bothered me, but in deference of what i read here, after 1.2 i can melt everyone with even more ease now, on every class...even healers that i had some deficulty before and i mean BM set duels. The only deficulty i face after 1.2 are with some maras and jugs (sorry dont remeber the republic name of the classes ) that after they jump me i`m dead in like 2-3 secs leaving me no time to react and when i hit em is like i hit a wall (still dont know how they do that, but still are some spacific players about the 5% i meet of those classes in WZs) I dont know if it is the fact that i use the eliminator set and not the combatech (even tho i was about to take the combatech WH set now)

Hello, prolly this is allready been asked, but i allready got started collecting WH items and i dont want to buy smth i wont eventualy use, i`m using a 31/8/2 ShieldTech spec with Dps BM eliminator gear and a BM shield generator as an offhand, im pretty pleased on this spec, on 1v1 its unbeatable and pretty durable on team pvp eforts. I bought the eliminator set some months ago cause the set bonus of combatech was broken, i allready bought the combatech blaster and im using custom bracers and belt for more attack / surge. As i have allready seen the combatech set has more balanced stats on attack and surge than the eliminator and i wont need so much mod replacements, but my problem is on the set bonus, as a shieldtech im more rocket punch oriented than railshot...so what set bonus is the best for that DPS/shieldtech spec? eliminator or shieldtech? * And and off-topic question, can someone tell me approximately the bounty hunters PvP stats cap? How much attack / surge / crit / expertise / aim should we have on WH sets?
  11. the channeling of the powertech does 200-300 dmg per tick not 2k per tick and the sprint nerf should be when they are the ball handlers...if the got full resolve they can pretty much 100% score
  12. If every class can endure a zerg of 6-7 chars and deliver the ball to huttball...then whats exactly the role of a tank in pvp?...to add just a buff on healer that sais "Guard"? So i as i see the vanguards are the the tanking class of troopers...their deference between them and the powertechs i wrote on the previous post was their dmg outpout.....its way more than powertech...and way more easy to deliver it...channeling The healing/Dps part goes for all classes that has those 2 trees since their crit/surge/power counts on dmg as for healing to....add them a heavy/medium armor...and we have our selves an immortal ladies and gentlemen....

Trolling....trolling....trolling....and still not a single FACT about powertech class....and since i topping everysingle wz on medals the "l2p" comment is on the trolling section to as it seems....but i dont want to make that a personal thread. if u dont have any facts or suggestions u can **** this thread thx.... Btw i`m saying "Troopers" in general cause i have never played the certain class and dont even want to...

If u need smth nerfed about the PTs just write it down...i dont have anything to write about nerfing the spaciffic class since our dps is moderate, we consider our selfs a deficult class to play instead of realax and channel , plus classes like force users and opperatives/smugglers can dps/cc/lol/kill us with 3 abilites and their health on 100%....so just write ur arguments about the classes i have noticed they need nerf instead of trolling As for the healing/dps situation i have lots of personal experiences of trooper classes not getting down with 4 ppl on them killing ppl their selfs by channeling dmg over 2k per tic and then heal them selfs with over 2k...plus they are heavy armor.
