  1. Oh right that one too. "My autocannon shoots beams of love!"
  2. If you choose to execute criminals there is logic to your actions, hence a neutral that is not chaotic. This is why most of the older RPGs like Baldurs Gate included lawful neutral, true neutral and chaotic neutral to further describe a character's personality motives. I personally find pure lightside is the most diffucult to do. Even the most righteous Jedi has to cut down 20 people just on his way to the toilet and back in this game. This is more of a fault in the modern design of MMOs than anything.
  3. I don't think it would ever happen for this game. I enjoy GW2s non-trinity system especially waiting in queues here as a dps. Also we have to put up with some really contrived class mechanics like... bounty hunter healers. Talk about a canon buster.
  4. This is a nasty bug. I haven't experienced it myself but it's not the first time I've heard of it. Would be good if you could put in customer service and let them know anything that might have triggered it.
  5. You really consider suggesting they gut the game in favor of a different engine and fire lazy American workers in favor of Asians and Europeans to be great suggestions? Do you even understand how far from reality these are from actually happening? I think this thread just lost a lot of credibility.
  6. This guy gets it. The story MMO was the innovation that this game was supposed to bring to the table. Character development and story development is Bioware's speciality as a gaming company if you are familiar with their history. Some of the people who came here directly from other MMOs and not because it was Bioware scratch their head over all the story detail, but the rest of us know swtor without story is like cornflakes without milk. Yes the MMO portion needs work but you can't throw away this games main design point over it or people will just move to one of the game companies products who do gameplay better than swtor.
  7. I think a lot of the points are good common sense stuff. Some points may be a little simplistic though. Ie. People don't want -poorly done- space combat ie. rails, but well done space components could be great fun and add aspects to the game that other MMOs would have a hard time competing with. (Edit) I see you have a bit about space PvP... is that new or did I miss that? And sure players like it when credit sinks like mod removal is lessened, but does that create other problems? Will end game players have too many credits causing inflation thus making it too hard for new players to be a part of the economy or buy what they need? Also HK is generally well liked aside from the bugs, and made many people's return during the F2P transition a lot more fun. I at least would argue against new companions being bad for the game too. Overall a good post though, thanks for the effort.
  8. Stating he is useless before 50 is pretty far from the truth. He gets all of his abilities at level 1 where most companions only have a few skills and gain them slowly on the way to 50, making HK especially powerful before 50. You will have to replace his gear every few levels anyway just like any other comp so this is an annoyance at best. As far as I understand how the fix functions on the pts, scaling means when its working correctly you will get gear scaled properly when you get him but it does not adapt, meaning you will have to gear him while leveling.
  9. They have been talking about minimally supporting grey alignment players for a long time. James Ohlen was quoted as saying that grey alignment was close to his heart and was trying to figure out as way to implement it. Not sure if they've given up in the mean time. And yeah BH and smuggler are two stories where grey make a whole lot of sense. Perhaps they can simply make alignment powers based on how many alignment choices one has made, and there are certain thresholds as to where the ability appears dark, grey or light side? This would make sense for force classes at least... don't know about tech classes. There isn't exactly such thing as a dark side or light side grenade. The legacy powers may be the only thing we get out of this facet.
  10. Also, anyone notice that most (all?) ships have a few separate sittable seats in the cockpit? Anyone wonder if there were ever plans for them except for solo musical chairs?
  11. I think that's a pretty creative idea and would like to see small and easy to implement twists like this just to break things up from the mundane format. This particular example is reminiscent of the sneak onto the deathstar scene from the original movies.. forget what it was called.
  12. OP has issues accepting current reality? Some people are just not into TOR full time and will only partly contribute and partake in the game just like how some people like basketball more than baseball. I'm getting a little tired of people with a condescending attitude to the new F2P player base. Maybe I should start treating these people like whiny brats for not owning a CE just to make a point.
  13. After making any purchase on the cartel market an F2P is upgraded to preferred which can trade player to player and I believe can also mail with 1(?) attachment.
  14. You don't get it. It has nothing to do with not being able to afford sub. Some people just don't like a monthly payment system and prefer pay-as-you-go to come and leave as they see fit. If people couldn't afford 15$ a month they wouldn't be able to afford a computer to run this game nor the connection required. Some F2Pers will also be putting more cash into the game than a sub would, although that is an exception rather than the rule. Times have changed. To the OP, devs have already said they'll revisit the cap once they see how F2P affects gold farming. Maybe if they only allow the escrow to be used for certain sections of the GTN. But otherwise I see this topic coming up a lot in the future.
