  1. So, for the record, while initially bouncing back to my home did not restore them (hence my worry), and trying to advance the quest did nothing, after I quit entirely and logged back in, several abilities did immediately come back while in the instance, and the rest did appear when in my home. After that, advancement worked properly. So apparently *something* was stuck that got unstuck after relogging!
  2. So, I went to start KotFE on my character I've had since launch. Get through the opening cinematic and cutscene, everything's all shiny, and control is returned to me. I immediately get the annoying little 'tutorial available' popup. I click to dismiss it... and almost all my abilities vanish. My ability bars are suddenly empty, nothing shows up in the Abilities panel, and bringing up the holo-Hutt shows I have nothing available to learn. This is not going to make playing a very easy task! Has anyone else had this happen to them? I've already put in a CS ticket, but I'm curious if I'm uniquely broken, or if this is a more common issue...
  3. Yay, a familiar name from the old Vrook Lamar days.
  4. Far simpler to deliberately blackout a free service than to do so a subscription one. (I'm refraining from channeling my snarky Imperial Agent and remarking that for some folks, patch day is a blackout... )
  5. Forgive this rambling, very tired and en route to bed. As someone who's made it through Drexel, it can be done without major upgrades (but with the the add-ons you get from the Fleet Commendation vendor... specifically the power regulator that lets you put power to guns or shields, and the counter-measures that make you hard to hit.) It's still a rough run, but can be done, but it'll end up relying on strategy more than just tunnel-shooter skill: I won't say it's easy, especially compared to the earlier Achenar incarnation of the same mission; even using this strategy only gets you through some of the time. Moreso with Tier 4, which makes it a lot less painful. But it CAN be done with Tier 3 and 4 mixed, albeit with some serious nail-biting moments. (My guild was treated to quite a bit of frustrated, dismayed remarks over Mumble when I first tried the mission...)
  6. Some of us got into the habit of trying to help folks fix things during beta, and now the habit is ingrained. Must... provide... troubleshooting! Can neither... deny... nor ignore... compulsion! *clutches head, bent over like a mob mezzed by some dark Force move*
  7. As noted on a bunch of other threads, Bioware's said that both Android and Blackberry versions of the mobile authenticator are in progress but aren't quite ready to be pushed out to the general public yet.
  8. Actually, this is accurate; the problem is that 'game code' and 'preorder code' are two different things. You do have to enter your preorder code (which was given to you at the time of preorder) to get into the Early Access queue, but you do not have to enter your game code (which will be in the box, or emailed out by Origin to people who ordered digital editions) for early access to work. So you can play in Early Game Access before your box actually arrives. (I think confusion over this is why the code that comes with the game seems to be now referred to as a 'product key' instead most places.)
