  1. Given that 7.0 has unlocked the possibility of classes no longer having to be mirrored for each faction in the name of balance in the Force, we can start working toward further diversity in combat styles (cue nerd rage screeching). To illustrate this newfound idea of combat balance freedom, I am going to touch on something that I've been mulling over for weeks: a hybrid vibroblade and pistol class. Now, you're thinking, what is this nameless junk dealer talking about? The Powertech (and how it never should've been a pistol class, but that's an argument for a much drunker table), I believe the PT is in the distinctly unique position to be the flagship this new idea is encapsulated in. Imagine a mostly offensive hybrid melee and ranged DPS class and all the versatility that could involve without needing a ton of CC or survival cooldowns to bolster inherent vulnerability: The Shield Tech would become the melee-focused spec. It probably needs a new name to go with it Pyrotech would also need a new name and become the pistol-focused spec. Advanced Prototype would keep the name and it would be the more defensive spec (off-tank at best) that balances melee and pistol. The DPS-focused specs would do roughly 85-90% of the DPS from a pure DPS in the same category. The AP would be equally viable in melee and range but more into utility and off tanking and wouldn't compete with DPS on the meters by design, but a good player can probably still make it do well. The AP would be more than capable of handling story content. I could spell out specific changes to each ability, but that's someone's actual job lol. Now, assuming you haven't already started filing a rage-filled troll reply to this idea, here's how I see other classes changing over time. None of them are to the extreme level of the PT above lol. Sniper becomes even more of a turret, has the longest range, and is no good at getting hit out of cover. I figure 45m max range for most Sniper abilities. Gunslinger moves away from being the Sniper analog and becomes the closer ranged higher DPS pressure cover class. More focused on moving around the field than the Sniper, but can take the same defensive posture. 20m range. Scoundrel stays much the same as now, a tricky skirmisher. Operative becomes even more stealth-focused and dependent. It gains a lot more dare I say...roguelike aspects beyond the current scope, a dangerous foe to leave alone. Mercenary remains largely the same, the middle range ranged DPS with BH flare. 30m range. Vanguard gains a ranged DPS spec (no blaster rifle class has this yet) in place of one of the current DPS specs, the Stormtrooper spec if you will. Commando changes to add a ranged tank spec, the remaining DPS spec focuses on AOE, and the heal spec remains much the same. I've also had some ideas about force user styles. Like changing Sage to the Yoda Combat Style, he waves his hands when he can, but Force Boosted Lightsaber Acrobatic *********y when up against Christopher Lee. Sorcerers get the option to equip another focus rather than a weapon. Assassins never *********** change. Ever. That's as far as I'm going with force users, other than maybe Sentinels should be able to use dualsabers.
  2. At the very least, more detailed textures, instead of everyone looking like a variation of a robot face.
  3. I love everything about the Remote Outcast set, even the way it also makes sense with no hood, but I'd like to not need Saul Karath's hat just to keep the hood down and not actually have to wear a helmet. All the headgear I prefer won't hide hoods or doesn't fit with the armor. Saul Karath is the compromise, but not my first choice since it hides hair.
  4. Between the Beskar armor and the blaster rifle cannon, I could see BH getting more variety overall based on this show.
  5. Laughs in Star Wars Oh wait, you're serious.
  6. Commando healer works fine without the cannon. Or go Mercenary and be one with the awesome.
  7. Are you trying to do it with a vendor window open? Sometimes that gets in the way. But other than that it shouldn't have changed much.
  8. A better question would be what is your budget going to support? Gaming laptops tend to be on the pricier side.
  9. A non-guild ship stronghold that functionally replaces the player ship. It doesn't have to be massive, but it does have to house all the companions. All of them. Creating a new ship may not be necessary if you allow us to choose which existing PS we use for it. I'm probably not the only one that was disappointed we didn't keep the Gravestone.
  10. At the very least FS should either AoE disorient or knockdown... or both. And a better sound is definitely warranted. But, not really sure about the converting to a lightning ability.
  11. You can't roll a generic base class anymore. You have to roll an advanced class. Which is a shame, because I rather enjoyed seeing how far I could take them.
  12. Ability bloat is a common problem in mmos that gradually increase the level cap. Trimming and tuning is a good idea. Perhaps each spec should do more to replace generic class abilities instead of merely adding to them.
  13. How many were hoping for a surprise merge?
