  1. Oh, I appreciate all of that and I have noticed the static gear drops tend to be of a good level. The item that got me thinking in particular was the Eliminator Jacket (for imp. agents). My very first toon after launch picked it up as a random drop, but now it's insanely expensive on the GTN (by my measure, clearly I haven't kept up with inflation). :-) So, yes, I'm looking for the costume designer.
  2. Well, that may explain it. I've been using class stealth abilities to bypass most mobs. Thanks for the thoughtful response. Much appreciated.
  3. Founding player returning after a hiatus. I've started going through old storylines and finally noticed a lot of the customizable armor drops I used to get in loots no longer seem to drop. It's all greens and blues, no oranges or purples. Sorry, I'm sure this is old news to a lot of folks, but I'm just trying to figure it out. Is it because I'm only focusing on the class and planet story lines? Is my memory of the original content that flawed or have they changed how loot drops and, if so, where can I get those armor drops now? Thanks.
  4. So, yeah, "mature". I'm not going to say how old I am (I'm old enough to begin getting embarrassed by it but not yet old enough to no longer care) but I don't have patience for drama, griefing, and people who have a compulsive need to use the F-word five times in every sentence. I'm a "Founder" who's been away for a couple of years and am now getting back into the game (re-subscribed). In that time, the guild I was a member of has dissolved, so I'd like to find a new one. I'm a casual player with a busy life and an unpredictable work schedule. If you need me to commit to raids/operations at specific times, I'm not your player. But I am committed to helping other players when I can (with missions and gear), and if the timing works out would love to join for flashpoints and operations. My "main" is currently a level 52 lightning-spec Inquisitor (400+ artifice, working on getting to 450). I also have a level 50 marksman Agent (400+ Cybertech) but most of my energy and play time right now is on a ~lvl 26 vengeance juggy and the inquisitor. Ideally, a guild would also have a Republic-side sister-guild, but not necessary. Please reply here or send me a PM; I'd prefer to take a quick look at your guild's site or information to make sure we're a good fit before accepting an invite. Thanks!
  5. Actually this would not be a bad way to implement it. Maybe make them a "rentable" mount, or purchase one-time at reduced cost (compared to speeders) but usable only on that planet. I could see that working without having Coruscant overwhelmed by varactyls and dewbacks.
  6. I understand the general mechanic is that your skin becomes paler as you gain dark side ranks, but that pink color looks absurd. They should come up with a different skintone effect for Sith Purebloods. That really is just... hideous. As another poster said, time for you to just start turning off the corruption toggle.
  7. Maybe. Or the guy I quoted got his prereg date wrong. Either way, we 26- and 27-ers should be in on the next wave.
  8. Sounds like the cutoff was in there somewhere. I also registered on 11/27 (around 11:00am EST) and am NOT yet in.
  9. Argh! You're killin' me, Bioware! Killin' me, I say! *Looks at stupid Nov. 27 redemption date and kicks himself*
  10. Was trying (in vain) to get an answer to a question similar to this last night. My guildies are reporting that, even though the server was displaying as full on the Server Status list, it was actually fairly empty. So, I think those populations we're seeing are based on artificial caps Bioware has imposed to make sure newly admitted/invited players are spreading out relatively evenly. It looks like those caps were raised since yesterday, and will probably be raised again. No official confirmation on that, but that's the speculation based on what folks who are playing have been telling us about what they're seeing.
  11. Or several. Sounds like they did do a stealth wave but, because there were no announcements, it's unclear whether it was a bonus or the 4th and final. SR said on twitter bonus waves today were "unlikely"; if so, I guess they're afraid of loads once people get home from work? *sigh* I have Swtoritis; I need my fix. But doc says only treatment is patience, so I try...
  12. I like "Loot Jawa"; very fitting! Don't forget to assume good faith in some cases. My beta experience with TOR was actually the first time I had ever encountered the need/greed mechanic (not a big MMO player) and, because I attached a negative connotation to "greed", I kept selecting "need" until I stopped to think about it and asked one of my subsequent groups. (For some reason I thought "greed" was sort of like an auction and you'd bid on it if you really wanted it... don't ask me what I was thinking, I'm not sure, but I definitely had it backwards and I wasn't trying to "steal" from my group.) Nobody had said anything about it to me, but I do wish I could have gone back to them and said, "Oops, sorry about that." Most people probably know better than I did, so you're probably right, but it may be worth pointing it out to them and see if they're behavior changes before you /lootjawa them into oblivion. Just a thought.
