  1. I use http://new.livestream.com/broadcast-live/encoder Its lower quality than something like Fraps but its free and the files sizes are more manageable.
  2. Won't the prices even out eventually, my server is very busy but I can easily find some unlocks for 100K.
  3. In February I will probably be going f2p. I like the game but I don't play it enough to stay subscribed full time. I have seen allot of people complain about the restrictions, and prior to a few days ago I would agree with most of the comments. However I recently discovered that I can purchase Cartel Market Unlocks on the auction house with credits. Correct me if I am wrong but this is a rather unique approach for a f2p title. I can buy some items like extra quick-bars or inventory slots for as little as 100K. I was able to purchase Authorization: Artifact Equipment, Access to Section X. The only thing I have not seen so far were the weekly passes to Operations/FP/WZ. Since I have to dump some credits anyways to meet my 350K cap, this was great news to me. Why is this important? This basically means you can get rid of most of the game restrictions by just farming credits. That makes this f2p offering even better then LOTRO or many other f2p titles. Am I missing something here? Why are people so angry?
  4. I just came back as well after a few months away. I agree with some people, the game has allot of issues, and could have been so much better. However from a story/lore perspective it is still best in class and that's what keeps bringing me back.
  5. As far as I can see preferred status gives you: -The ability to run faster (Sprint) starting at Level 1. -Cargo Hold access (Bank Slots) and higher login queue priority. -Increased access to Chat and Secure Trading. This is great, however I would still like to be able to equip my Colmi/Rakata/Black Hole gear, have access to at least 3 quick slot bars and have the hide head-slot feature. And that's just for one toon, if you want to do it for all your account its closer to 4K cartel coins.
  6. Very nice thanks, I currently have 1500 cartel point on my account, I looked into what it would cost for me to switch from subscription to f2p and in the least I think I would need: Unlock: Additional Quickbar 250 X Customization Control: Hide Head Slot 350 X Authorization: Artifact Equipment 1200 That's 1800 cartel points, and that does not include: Access Authorization: Section X or Improved Speeder or additional Inventory slots. They are going to make it very difficult to change to f2p from subscription.
  7. The requirement to run add-ons in WoW speaks to their popularity, if people hated them they would not be popular.
  8. I am surprised so many people are against Add-ons. So many developers working for free to make your game better, who would not want that? You would get kicked out of a raiding team in WoW if you did not have at least ReCount, Deadly Boss Mods & Spell Flash. Add-ons are hugely popular in WoW and I have to say I really miss them in SWTOR. It also ads another level of game-play, trying to beat your ReCount DPS from the last run. Add-ons have my vote.
  9. The Foundry Revan Fight set to Extreme Ways by Moby, I think it works rather well, enjoy.
  10. I just want to say, its about time, I am glad I will have a reason to finally log back in. Please please keep up the good work, I want this game to do well.
  11. It just makes them look like they are not even sure what they are releasing, HK-51 is coming soon, no wait its Mekab, no wait its f2p, no wait 1.4 is coming with none of those things. They need to get their PR together into something more concise and accurate.
  12. I knew that HK-51 was not coming in 1.4, however why tease us with all the videos and screenshots when it is not coming for months. Coming Soon <> 1 year or even 6 months. Coming Soon should be soon.
  13. I would also like to see the Armory, yes I get it resources are tight but I want it all
  14. I am in a guild, so what. The guild wants to raid at 7PM 2 times a week, the run takes about 2-3 hours depending on wipes. Not going to happen, I spend time with my son and wife and only after that I will log in and play at my time and my hour not at someone else's schedule.
  15. There are so many things I like about the game, my characters story, the graphics, pvp, good tanking mechanics, it basically WoW in a Star Wars universe, and for me that is a good thing. There is however one major issue I have not yet overcome, I am tight on time I play for about 1 hour intervals and the rest I spend with my family. In WoW in that 1 hour I can run a Looking for Raid or 1-2 dungeons. 90% of LFRs finish in 1 hour in WoW, and if someone leaves the group there is a very quick replacement queue. In SWTOR however I never know. Some flashpoints take 15-20 minutes and some that are buggy like False Emperor can take 90 minutes with many wipes on the last boss. Lost Island is impossible in 1 hour in a random group. Group Finder Raids can take forever, the the random group wipe rate is high. Also operation queue times are high even as a tank so raids are just not possible (or unusual) in 1 hour time, don't even get me started on replacing someone if they leave. I am sure that part of the LFG tool is broken. Another problem is that I have once spent 5 hours on Denova, we spent half the time walking to the boss between wipes. For me the game is great, its almost there but I can't get over some of the issues above. Many of them are caused by bugs, some are bad design decisions (inconsistent flashpoint lengths for same reward tier). I don't have hours and hours of my time to give to this game, and it keeps expecting me to do so. I don't want the game to be easy just let me do things in smaller time intervals. I am hoping that 1.4 will address some of these (at least some of the bugs)
