  1. They don't want to evaluate over the weekend. They just don't want to work over the weekend. It's that simple. It's a friday and father's day weekend in the U.S. They don't care about work right now. It's one of those "Don't pee on me and tell me it's raining" situations. Just tell me how it is, Devs. Also, if the last few servers were going to be that big of a problem getting done before the weekend... suck it up and work faster.
  2. It really is laziness on the dev's part. Leave for the weekend with a job half finished and customers angered at you. Sure, that's a great business decision.
  3. Trion had the equivalent of 2lb fishing line as their string. You couldn't move the same character more than once a week. Everything else was free and fair game. You could even move a whole guild.
  4. I haven't seen one "The game is dying" comment in this thread. There are servers with such low populations that if you shut them down and didn't even offer transfers less than 20 people would get angry. That's a dead server. Seriously, when there are more people playing in a modern warfare 3 match than on an entire server in an MMO it's a problem.
  5. Bao Dur. I started a new alt there (as did my girlfriend) and we're usually the only people on the planet. I was seeing 8 max on Tatooine. 12 on fleet over the weekend. And I am usually the only one on Coruscant or Taris.
  6. Why is it bad? Do you really care if your 3rd alt has a few blue items that you found during your main's leveling up campaign? Or that an alt's companion can use a few peices of your main's gear?
  7. So what you're saying SWTOR is an MMO for a more adult subset of the MMO playerbase? As in it's tailored more for those with jobs, families and sporadic free time as opposed to tailored to the college kids on summer break with 10 hours a day to do nothing? Man... I think that's awesome news!
  8. You can think all you want, but all signs point to it never happening. Don't hold your breath. (For the record, I like the no AC-respec. It makes your character more personal)
  9. Bind to Legacy would be a godsend. There's not too much overlap in gear anyway, so it'd really only help for companions and cross-faction legacies. Do it for everything!
  10. False Dichotomy shall be your next alt's name. With space combat as it is now, they should just end the war because my character takes out about 4 planet's worth of resources and pilots in a 5 minute span. I'm more deadly than a Super Star Destroyer.
  11. I really think it's Garak from Star Trek Deep Space 9.
  12. Space Combat was always a feature of Star Wars. Second to the lightsaber the Death Star Trench run and battle of Yavin is is probably the most iconic star wars image/scene. I have no problem with the current space combat system besides it being incredibly easy (star fox on training mode difficulty). But, It does not belong in an MMO. There is no multiplayer, no depth, nothing. You can't make your ship your own. Can't name it. Can't explore. You can't even turn around. There's no PvP and no way to have PvP or grouping work in the current iteration of space combat. In short: They need to scrap the rail shooter, as enjoyable as it is, and develop a way to expand the space combat into a more MMO friendly aspect of the game. You need PvP and Grouping to be viable. You need ship customization. You need exploration. You need depth.
  13. If people want mouseover macros so bad, just make it a toggle in options or let us keybind "Cast on mouseover target." No need to implement a macro function for 1 freaking thing.
  14. Gear should not factor into PVP at all no matter where it's obtained.
  15. First, I read the post. 2nd, he says not to assume that they'll be like any other game, but then says he wants them like WoW. 3rd, Assigning modifiers to keys so 1 key could situationally trigger 2-howmany abilities would be analogous to having the game play for you. Miss hitting a button or having the wrong thing targeted should be part of the game. 4th, You 100% do not need a mouseover macro to heal. Don't lie. It only makes it easier. The only annoying thing about healing currently is that if your mouse is over the raid frame (even after clicking) it seems to not heal. (could be fixed). 5th. What's so difficult about clicking on the raid frame instead of hovering your mouse over it? 6th. You don't need macros to do that. You could just have them add an option in the preferences to say "cast spells on mousetarget if one is available."
