  1. Skipping all of the cutscenes and leveling through planet quests you should be 50 around the 100 hour mark. I made 50 during the early access period with two days to spare, and I could have done it more quickly if I'd had a group to level with. I had all of my crew skills maxed before hitting 50. Planet quests are the fastest way to level by far. I only took breaks for the pvp/space daily missions.
  2. I've been a battlemaster for nearly four weeks. I'm still using a centurion saber. I've gotten 0 BM commendations in the last five days.
  3. I was in beta for a full year. For the entirety of the last two builds (~2 months) every tester with a 50 knew that scoundrel's / ops were OP. The warzone daily credit bug has been around since the quests were put into the game 8-9 months ago. Everyone knew that 1.1 would break ilum, it was predicted on the forums as soon as the patch notes were posted a week in advance. All of these issues have been reported. This game had a huuuge budget, but unfortunately the majority seems to have been spent on voice-overs that most players will skip. Despite their claims to the contrary, Bioware has done a terrible job of responding to player feedback.
  4. That's my point exactly, thanks. I DID do a better job than Timmy and he's getting the same benefits. I won't be resubscribing and it's entirely for this reason.
  5. Dude, you're missing the point. I don't care if other people have it, as long as they put in the same time and effort that I was forced to. Imagine you spend months working late and kissing the boss's *** to get promotion and pay raise. One week later, all of your coworkers get the same benefits, but without putting in any extra time or effort. A grind that took players 80 hours of actual playing can now be done in 6 or 7 hours of semi-afk spamming a buff on a raid. If you think that is fair and just, I really don't know what to say to you.
  6. The OPs post is offensive. I was a battlemaster 3 weeks before 1.1. It was a long, grueling grind. I felt a sense of achievement at being one of the first on my server. As much as you can in a video game, I worked* for it. Valor ranks 50-60 were easily 70-80 hours long. Saying that my anger at ilum is due to a desire to see "the rich get richer" is TOTALLY erroneous. I feel cheated that my accomplishments were trivialized by Bioware's choice to ignore the community's input before they patched, and their response (no rollback, no apology) makes me feel like it will almost certainly happen again if I chose to resubscribe. I'm angry that my expectations for this game- that it provide more than one month of enjoyment- have been dashed. I'm angry that a great company is destroying its legacy and reputation with extremely poor management decisions.

    Update.. finally..

Bapplebo, the fact that they HAVE the data doesn't mean they can actually USE the data. Again, we're talking about HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS of accounts. Think about that number applied to number of people working on this problem- probably 20-30 being generous. In more than a year of playing this game, I've seen nothing that would support their claim. I've seen dozens of examples to the contrary.

I'm going to paraphrase your post: You have a very valid point, supported by factual evidence. Now here's my opinion of what they could conceivably do based on nothing but what I think should* be possible.

    Update.. finally..

I did read. I read very carefully. I also have more than a year of playing this game under these devs to draw conclusions from. MILLIONS of people play this game. If only 10% of them are 50, that's more than 200,000 accounts to review. Have you ever submitted a bug report? A request for CS help? The response can take days, and is nearly always answered with a form letter saying they have forwarded your issue to some other team. I.E.: No real resolution. The warzone daily quest not updating for wins? That bug existed in beta NINE MONTHS AGO. It's still not working. This mistake REQUIRES a rollback. It is the ONLY viable solution. Anything else spits on the players that gained their value legitimately.

    Update.. finally..

What a joke. They don't have the manpower or the coding proficiency to enact the plan they've proposed. I said that I would unsub without a rollback, and now I have.
  11. Today my first 5 warzone wins did not count toward my daily quest. I started beta testing this game more than a year ago, in November of 2010. From the first time I saw a pvp console offering the daily warzone quests it has been bugged in this way. Don't hold your breath for a quick resolution.
  12. You must be new here, Jadeor. No one will be banned. Working as intended. This thread will be closed and deleted within the hour. Move along, move along.
  13. You may not be aware, but 50+ ranks are substantially larger than pre-50 ranks. while level 50 is only 9500 points, 51 is nearly 15,000, 52 = 19,000, 53=23000 pts, etc. Rank 59 is over 50,000 pts or roughly 50 warzones to complete. This is why people are angry that those gains were made over the span of a few short hours today.
  14. I'll be cancelling if there isn't a rollback. I played extremely hard to get my battlemaster title and this dev response makes that effort a joke. Bioware will lose many loyal gamers with their poor planning and execution of this patch and the crisis it created.
