  1. >.> Thats what I get for not checking back several pages. Feel free to ignore me then.
  2. I'm surprised this thread isn't abuzz with the comments on SGRs in today's State of the Game blog http://www.swtor.com/info/news/blog/20130102 According to Hickman, SGRs are coming with Makeb, probably in the form of NPC flirts, etc, while larger implementation is still being worked on.

    Help!?

You won't get much help if you don't say what the problem is. Are you dying too much? Is the class/planet quest confusing/hard? If you're 45 on Voss you should be fine for the content on the world. My leveling pace from 45-50 didn't slow down like I've seen some claim.

    Help!?

What about Voss is stumping/stopping you? I enjoyed Voss, myself. In fact, I felt like Voss' quest line ended rather abruptly.
  5. I based part of my Agent's personality on Michael Weston, too and I adored the IA story. Approaching it from that kind of angle does work great. I didn't really get the "Bond" vibes that is supposedly in the story (well, maybe Daniel Craig's Bond), though maybe if my agent was male and flirted it up with all the females.... I haven't done any of the others and I'm just getting into the Consular, but forum consensus seems to be that the IA is the best of the stories.
  6. I just started a shadow after hitting 50 with my Sniper. I wanted to play a melee class and I wanted to play a force-user and I wanted to play on the Republic side. It was down to the Shadow vs the Knight ACs. I wasn't completely convinced on the Shadow for a while because I was still thinking "Man, it's a consular AC, how great in melee can it be?" then I did a little digging on the forums and saw people praising the class and it's combat abilities, so I gave it a whirl. I've been having a blast so far.
  7. Speaking from personal experience, that +100 at the beginning makes a world of difference. When I began my Shadow, Quyzen rips through enemies and has let me solo several +2 Heroics. Its very worth it to make your first character a human, IMO.
  8. On the spirit quest... Now, yeah, its weird that you get married as a part of the questline, but then they work in some letters basically trying to free you up of obligation so you can complete any other romance storylines guilt free. Its... awkward and probably one of my least favorite moments of the questline. I still have the second letter sitting in my mailbox (if it hasnt deleted itself).
  9. I recently hit 50 with my Engi Sniper and this was my experience: -Stuck with Kaliyo for most of the game. She was great for keeping the mobs off me while I DPSed them down. That said, however, she tended to end fights dead or nearly dead. It's worth noting that my sniper (as you'll see in my sig) was my first character and I was still learning my way around the concepts of keeping my tanking companion(s) fully geared. -I tried out Vector for a bit when I got him under the belief that a pair of DPSers could burn through mobs more effectively than a Tank+DPS team. It didn't really work out that well and faced the same problems as Kaliyo, only Vector was a bit squishier. So, I shelved him. -When I got Lokin I didn't look back. Things got so much smoother with him. I see, now, why a lot of people refer to healer companions as "easy mode". And honestly, he did very good damage, too, since he could wear what I was crafting (I was an Armormech). Gaining affection with him was also a breeze as his likes/dislikes gelled very well with how I was playing my sniper. -After my poor experience with Vector I ended up just shelving Temple and never brought her out. Which is a real shame because I kinda like her. -I would have liked to have tried out SCORPIO, but the problem was that she's so poorly geared when you get her that she just drops like a fly (in my experience). So, I ended up shelving her, too, since I preferred having Lokin out. I would like, eventually, to roll an Operative healer so I can give some of the other companions a try. Temple in particular, but also maybe giving SCORPIO some face-time.
  10. Theres actually a picture in one of my Star Wars d20 sourcebooks of a deveronian (the devil looking guys) Jedi fighting a Hutt sith. Let me see if I can google it... Blah, google has failed me. Oh well. EDIT: Found it! http://images.wikia.com/starwars/images/1/17/DarkJediHutt.JPG ( I was mistaken, it's a zabrak he's fighting)
  11. Are your Taris quests still available or did it shunt you back all the way to Alderaan's?
  12. IMO, you're reading the wrong intent from that reveal. The point is driving home just how corrupt, self-serving, and monsterous the Star Cabal had become. Hunter says she'd been raised by the Cabal to have no personal identity. That she was broken and made into their ultimate infiltrator/troubleshooter. Don't forget, you meet Hunter while she's manipulating the SIS. Hunter's dying words even go so far as to separate herself from the "Hunter" personality, that the identity of Hunter was just another mask that she wore. "You and Hunter, you're the strong ones." It echoes a point that gets brought up a lot by Watcher 2 and your companions. "How do you not lose yourself?" is a question that gets repeated a lot. Especially in Chapter 2 while you're playing Triple Agent. It's reinforcing and capping off a theme about the psychological dangers of taking on these false identities in the course of performing your duties as an agent. Very frequently Watcher 2, during Chapter 2, asks you about how you're handling the stress. Having a mental trigger can't really help things either. I guess I got off on more of a ramble than I intended. The point is: You're jumping at shadows. The homophobia just isn't there. Especially if you take Bioware's impressive (particularly for a major developer) track-record for including same-sex relationships in their games.
  13. As much fun as a smuggler would be, I don't want to play what is, essentially, the same class again so soon.
  14. Last night, in the wee AM hours and feeling feverish, I slogged my way through the final encounters of the Agent's story and was rewarded with an excellent denoument. I have to say, it's been an incredible ride to completing my first character. I don't know whether it was my mindset, but the story played out very well in accordance with what I was experiencing with my choices. Highlights: Now that the Agent's story is complete, apart from farming for companion affection (only maxed it on Lokin, so far) and other lvl 50 activities, I find myself contemplating a new character, though I'm not sure where to go from here. I'm looking at a Jedi Consular for a change of pace, though I know no story is going to compare to the Agent's, according to the forums.
  15. Have you been doing Space Combat Missions at all? I found that was a great way to rack up experience. So much so that it overleveled me early on and the content caught up about Belsavis/Hoth.
