  1. I still think the [flirt] option responses are so generic that they could be applied to same gender characters and it wouldn't be a problem. Since there seems to be no plans at expanding the story lines or companion stories and the overall genericness of the Forged Alliances flirt options it seems like they could just "turn on" the same sex flirt option and people would be happy.
  2. Unfortunately, it makes no sense because it had to be a generic story that all four characters (Bounty Hunter, Agent, Warrior and Inquisitor) could play through. It's not at all unique to the characters at all and I agree that it makes little sense that the Emperor's Wrath and a Dark Council member could go on a mission together to uncover the truth about Arkous and Darth Marr and the others would be like "Nah, we trust him more than your allegations and proof." Also, i'm very disappointed that the same gender romance flirts consist of hand holding and a final hug, whereas my male toons have slept their way across the galaxy (Agent and Warrior were the biggest slores ever).
  3. So I've been trying to join an Ops group for the Dread Fortress each week and today I finally had the window pop up, only to join and after hitting Travel Now, I arrived on Oricon without a party and locked out of the group finder for 15min. No message about being kicked or disbanded or anything, just...missing group...and no one else around? So far I have yet to experience any of the Ops SWTOR has to offer. I usually try to join groups forming in the Fleet, only to have them disbanded after an hour or so of spamming general chat because we didn't have enough people. Sometimes I try forming them myself but same issue. I had gone to our server forums a while back and posted looking for a larger guild or group to plan a day to do this Op, but that went nowhere at the speed of light. I had really hoped that the addition of Ops to Group Finder would make it so that I could see and experience this content, similar to how WoW's raid finder and group finders work, but it's been more of a hassle checking every few days to see what Ops is allowed to be queued for each day and then if I miss a day or forget I have to wait a week again...but it's not like it's the same day each week because the countdown is a random day and a half instead of a fixed day-of-the-week schedule. In any case I'm very disappointed.
  4. Thanks for the welcome Stippling I have been trying to join some pick up groups as well as start them, unfortunately we get maybe 4-6 members after about 30 minutes of spamming General chat and then people start leaving or doing something else. Since Credits and Gear are something I can work my way towards as a F2P person I figure the best option at this time as a subscriber is to just see if any guilds who have this on farm status would want to rush me through it and I'd be happy to compensate them with giving up the drops and/or donating credits to their cause.
  5. I recently resub'd in the hopes of completing this questline. I am looking for a guild or group of people who regularly run this operation and can essentially help get me through it. I'm not a total carry though, as I have some gear I think is acceptable for entering this operation. I have a mix of 154 to 162 gear, my current stats are as follows: Health:32,515 AR:9,376 DR:46.11 DC:16.46 SC:33.85 SA:26.95 ACC:97.51 I know these are probably low compared to members who are farming this operation, I'm not interested in any of the gear drops and I'm willing to donate a sum towards your team's repair costs if needed. All I want is to complete this operation. Also willing to respec from my Immortal build to a DPS build if needed. Feel free to message me in game on Slaggash.
  6. I actually came to the forums specifically to complain about this very issue and saw this thread. I played TOR at launch and focused on a Sith Warrior, Jugg tank, loved it, purchased ROTHC when it was offered at a discount to players who resub'd last year and completed it. Recently, I started leveling some alts. I just completed my Imperial Agent class story, however it was incredibly jaring... I'm completely fine with allowing Makeb to be accessible to players pre-50, but the cut scene for this should either be made available when a player 1) completes the main storyline or 2) visits Makeb for the first time.
  7. Is ki-Ta Kren the same character as the monster that the Sith Warrior meets in the initiate on Korriban? I ask because while the same model, during the BH fight with him he uses force lighting/storm besides just being a creature/pirate. While my SW is my main, I don't remember the creatures nae. it was the one that you feed to make stronger if you're dark side.
  8. hahaha funny thing is I was recently mediating a discussion between the legal and marketing folks at my work around a the topic of how we say/type/talk about our trademark since we run into a similar issue on our ends.
  9. SWTOR popularity comes from the first two words in it's title. If this game didn't have that IP tie in it wouldn't be anywhere near as popular as it is. IMO Rift is still the best well made MMO and had one of the smoothest and feature filled launches for an MMO. Unfortunately no one likes it because it's a clone of WoW and really, why would you jump from Facebook to G+ when all your friends are already on Facebook. WoW will always be the big dog, not just because they have a well made game, but because they have successfully integrated their other IP's with it. Why buy Diablo3 when you can sign up for a year of WoW and get D3 for free for just a few bucks more? This type of cross-promo is huge as it keeps subscriber numbers up for the MMO even if you're not bothering to log into the game. Why couldn't the same had been done with MassEffect3? Huge opportunity missed there IMO.
  10. So I saw via my lego news that they are releasing some new lego sets based on the classes in SWTOR, for example the the Sith Warrior set here http://kotaku.com/5884451/star-wars-the-old-republic-has-invaded-lego-land/gallery/1 I think I had seen another site mention August 2012 for the release date here, but what I'm really caring about.. TLDR: Will there be in game fluff items for those of us that buy these lego sets?
  11. So I finally got around to comparing the stats between my 5/5 champion set and the 5/5 columi War Leader sets... Comparing only the set pieces you trade off between 90 Strength and 110 Endurance versus 230 Expertise. However, depending on your implants, relics and earing these gains may be more or less noticeable. Obviously for PVE purposes the 230 expertise is irrelevant though it's invaluable for PVP, but I sort of feel like there should be a PVE equivalent to Expertise, like how Rift has Toughness for defense against NPC's instead of Valor for PVP and how WoW has Defense instead of Resilience.
  12. I'm not a fan of PA, but to say their opinion doesn't carry weight in the game development world would be like saying that JJ Abrams opinions don't carry weight in the sci fi genre.
  13. I think what the OP is talking about is that since the legacy system is based on XP gained it makes it so that people doing the Daily Ops and Flashpoints gain way more Legacy XP than someone doing the PVP Daily and Ilum Daily. For example I don't gain XP from killing players, but killing lvl 50 silver mobs in a flashpoint gives me around 1k xp. Of course since the Legacy system really only sounds like it will benefit alts the alternative for PVP'ers interested in leveling their Legacy system is to just keep leveling alts to 50 or start doing flashpoints on their main, both things that are PVE and taking them away from PVP.
