  1. Not counting a few instances of boss strat talk (largely unnecessary, but still communication), one out of ~30 unique FP/Op groups. You nailed it with your analysis. People whisper you, show up, go into the instance, do their thing, then say "thx 4 group" and drop as soon as you are done. I'd really like for someone to point to me at how no LFG tool creates a paragon of community, because being at the endgame for 2 weeks now? I ain't seein it.
  2. Naturally I assumed "could not turn the turret" meant literally, and not an exaggeration. That said, I've done it twice, with myself, a friend, and 4 other people, and none of us had problems.
  3. Not counting Jar Jar Binks (who is a shoe in for every thing he says, and isn't fair in this "contest"), any dialogue spoken in scenes where Hayden Christiansen and Natalie Portman were alone together.
  4. +1 Sitting on Imperial fleet with my healer friend and a pug DPS spamming "LF tank for x" for an hour or more doesn't do anything for the community, and not allowing players to do content ruins the community more than an automated group tool ever could.
  5. Not scared, but will say it was a pretty creatively made dungeon. Never thought I'd see lighting used in an MMORPG like it's used in KuS.
  6. +1 to HM FE, one of our party got knocked off and couldn't roll on items or get the crystals at the end.
  7. We had no problems with it, 4 people who never did it before. Wiped once because our tank and one DPS got knocked off during the "puzzle" part but that's it. You know you have to turn the turret with RMB, right?
  8. Only use knockback to prevent those mobs from hitting me after I tear aggro off the tank. Tank better -your DPS.
  9. If it's not performing actions than it's controlled, not that hard really. Also seconding tanks breaking CC. Slice a droid, they walk up and hit it with their light stick. Cut it out guys
  10. The forum minority has lead me to believe that this never happens when no LFG tool is available, and that everything is rainbows and sprinkles. I think I've been lied to
  11. Uhhhhh. What? It didn't change the content at all. What are you on about?
  12. So DPS just shouldn't be able to clear content as fast as tanks or heals? That is the stupidest excuse not to have an LFG tool that I have ever read, and I've been around for awhile.
  13. Simple need/companion need/greed/pass system that has been suggested dozens of times. Restrict classes that get nothing out of the gear from rolling need. Agents can't need Aim gear, Warriors can't need Willpower gear, etc. Everyone can companion need/greed/pass.
  14. It gets complained about, but it's different in a couple of ways. First off, resilience doesn't scale as well as expertise does. This, combined with the fact that expertise increases the damage and healing as well as decreasing damage taken from other players means that the gap between a fresh character and a geared character is much larger Secondly, getting the gear is easier. Not only can you get a crafted set as soon as you hit 85, but your can get the previous season set after about a week of honor grinding, and that's if you are doing it casually. I've rushed it in 3 days after coming back to the game. Meanwhile in SWTOR you have to hope for lucky item drops. Finally, as you mention, WoW has arenas, another path to PVP progression. SWTOR doesn't have this. It simply has the same 3 BG's and no other way to acquire gear than grind them (or Ilum *shudder*) and roll the dice. This makes the feeling of the grind longer than it actually is.
  15. The problem isn't the length of the instances (for the most part, some FPs are longer than preferred), but how long it takes to find players. Even DPS on my server takes 20 minutes to find some nights.
