I wholeheartedly agree! A significant key to understanding my character, is that in any given situation, I am for more choices. Keeping in mind, that neither I nor anyone else, has to avail themselves of any of these choices. Just so they're there. In R/L, I truly feel this is a defining feature between the polar philosophical opposites. On the one hand, you have those like myself. Who advocate more choices for all. And on the other hand, you have those who can only find fulfillment by restricting the choices of others. And always 'for their own good.' And while I do agree that it would be wonderful to have a sexual preference slider at the creation stage. It would certainly necessitate a change in the game's T rating. Which, given the games demographics, I don't see them implementing anytime soon. In any case, it would be nice to have some reasonable compromise between interesting/intelligent gaming and outright sex MMO's.

To tell the truth, I hadn't even thought to look at the rating. I just assumed that anything that had a bunch of kids playing it would be tame as a house cat. It's times like these, I wish this game were more like the Sims. Where a talented and industrious modding community have added all manner of wonderful things for the descriminating downloader. I will admit however, to being a bit baffled by the Devs willingness to expose our 'tender and imporessionable' youth to same sex pairings. But find upping the ante on standard hetrosexual unions too risky. But then again... After Timmy Turner's pink hat and his Father in curlers, you'll have a very hard time convincing me, that the homosexual community isn't suceeding in their agenda of normalizing their behavior in the eyes of the community at large. Since everything is instanced in these MMOs. Why not add some verifiable age specific content? I'm willing to bet folks would spend Cartel Coins on that, if it were provided. Perhaps if someone were to persent them with a researched proposal on just how large a cash cow their passing up...

In Mass Effect the persuit of romance ended up with a cut scene where the couple retire to bed. Then they are off camera just below the frame. After a bit, a pair of intertwined arms are extended upward into the frame. Implying the victorious exertion of other intertwined extremities. The funny thing is, at the time, conservative media (who had obviously never seen the game) was decrying full frontal nudity and genital contact, in this video game, that was gonna send all our tender children straight to Perdition.

I understand that romance is possible between the main character and some of his/her companions. I am an adult and not particularly prudish. Thus I'm curious. What level of intimacy is achieveable in this game? And how is it graphically represented? Are there age apropriate unlockable instances? Or is it all lukewearm generic mush? Just how committed can an aspiring Jedi be to persuing a romantic relationship? When I seem to remember an early mission, the goal of which, was to break-up a pair of young lovers. Don't throbing loins tend to unhinge Jedi? I'm sure these are all just idle flights of fancy. But speaking purely as an adult. It would be nice to have the option to engage in some window fogging activity. What say you?

Unfortunately, for better or worse, as long as men are the chief creators and users of fantasy games like these, women will continue to be depicted as extremely voluptous and run around in their undies. And I hasten to include that as an evolved, though still heterosexual male, I see no problem with this. Perhaps if a crew of talented and like minded ladies got together. They could craft a game that would appeal to feminist gamers. Although unfortunately, I can't imagine it could sustain enough of a fan base to make it commercially viable. But until that day... It certainly doesn't seem too much to ask, that there be more choices for everyone concerned.

Do they drop? Are they awarded? Do you have to buy them at the Cartel store? Or must you craft your first one, like the Lightsabre? I suppose It's possible that time and patience will indeed tell all. But my curiosity and distinct lack of patience, is most un-Jedi.

Thanks Ekimmak. Correct me if I'm wrong. But I think I've got it now. Of the three crew slots. The first should be taken up by a Gathering skill, the second by a Crafting Skill. And the third by a Mission skill? If so, I see that I have already wasted one of my slots. Is it possible to re-do this? I have a skills tree showing which combinations are best for Force users. And will be guided by same. Do you know whether at this early stage of the game, the drops favor armor or weapons? Also, thank-you for addressing my other questions regarding Companions. Your help has been much appreciated.

Currently I'm a level 10 Jedi Knight. I have a droid companion. I've assigned it Archeology and Bioanalisys. But now I can't decide between Synthweaving and Artifice for the third and final crew skill. My real questions are as follows: Will I eventually be able to have more than one companion? Can they all be onscreen at that same time? Or is it only ever one at a time? Can I rotate them? Can they all be independently active in the background (ie; gathering missions)? You'd be surprised at the amount of specific questions the tutorials don't adequately address. New player definitely. Newb question, perhaps. I am attacking the steep learning curve required to master the intricacies of this game, as fast as I can.

I hesitated to mention it Pilgrim. Because I wasn't sure whether or not it might alienate my new community. But the fact is, that for me, all MMO's will forever be compared to City of Heroes. That was my first MMO. And by a stroke of phenomenal luck the very best gaming experienced I've ever had. It speaks well of this game however, that I have chosen it as my second ever MMO. Although, I do realize that I've been spoiled by the responsiveness of both the Devs and community at CoH. After a significant hiatus, I have begun the daunting task of plumbing the depths of information associated with effective gameplay in SWTOR. I'm enjoying everything so far.
