  1. I completely disagree. it has worked perfectly for me in finding groups for flashpoints and for finding replacements of those that DC, get kicked out of the group or drop. I hope you enjoy wailing away in chat channels then, because doing that sucks. And it wasn't the group finder that turned your evening into a fiasco, it was the person that left your group.
  2. Do you remember that scene in The Empire Strikes Back, right at the end of the movie, where the Millinium Falcon jumps into hyper drive and escapes yet again? Darth Vader is looking out the window at the event and sort of does this half turn towards Admiral Piett getting ready to force choke him to death, then turns back around to look back out the window frustrated and decides it isn't worth the effort. Your frustration is so F... nevermind did you recently change your meds or something?
  3. Because who cares.. Just go play and enjoy yourself. Don't get frustrated man, dont let these boards brings you down. Official message boards are typically the worst place to get information on the games you play. It has always been a mistery to me why offical boards tend to be sesspools, but they are. MMO official message boards have always predicted doom and gloom about the MMO they are stood up for. Don't let it bother you, just go play and enjoy yourself. In Feburary of 2005 I started to see the first "Death of WoW" posts on Blizzard's official boards. (two months after the game went retail). I saw the death of EQ posts in 2001, and the game has had over 15 expansions since. I love playing SWTOR, it is a blast and everytime EA/BIOWARE does a patch it only gets better. I AM THE FANBOY!!! Your post is a fail because you aren't asking anything worth answering. Now if you asked about what is the best method for breaking room X of instance Y then you may have gotten a link to a good strategy site or discussion. You asked a vague question about IT developers getting fired. I have worked in IT for just about 20 years and developers get fired, released, ****cann and of replaced every single day, It doesn't mean the end of the software the company sells, it is just the standard trials, tribulations and undelation of software developement.
  4. What possible business reason would the company have for doing this? Why do some in the player community obsess about the number of subscribers and the future of the game? Why since the dawn of MMOs do MMO message boards love to predict the end of the game they play?
  5. Hopefully this link will last. http://imgur.com/gallery/W2ivv
  6. I suspect I wouldn't want to be in a group with you.
  7. I have loved it. I have been doing it with my tank and I have gotten groups really easy. I am glad it isn't cross server. PUGS are a good time to get to know other other people and particularly other guilds and see what they are all about. Cross server destroys that and give carte blanc to jerks to be jerks. I do wish the tool had a mechanism to you back to the place you que from, but that probably has more to do with the Flashpoints ending on the fleet. It would be nice if you got some sort of QT back after the final conversation on the fleet.
  8. Actually WoW did acheive greatness overnight. Upon launch it was the most successfull MMO is history, and still is. There were intial release parties that rivaled movie premiers. Even Blizzard didn't really expect the game to be a susccesful as it was/is. As far as the excetuvie producer quitting the company, I dont really care, it doesn't make a difference to me. I am going to play this game as long as I enjoy it and not one minute longer. Do I think this game will entertain me for years? no.
  9. An advance class change is already in the game it is called an alt. I hope they don't waste time with it. I would rather see duel specs, a better legacy system or more content before this.
  10. You won't loose all your stuff. The only thing you might loose is stuff that is in the email. Mostly the legacy stuff is garbage, but I dont feel your concern, there are a couple of nice things for alts, Mounts early, cross class buffs etc that are nice to have. Also it is nice to be able to fund your alts with your main.
  11. It is a bit annoying but BFD it is an MMO it happens.
  12. You think joining a large guild means you have social skills or because I am not in a large guild and don’t WANT to be in a large guild I don’t have social skills? I don’t have the time, nor do I want to spend the time to what it takes to be a good guild member so I don’t try. I have a very sporadic play schedule and often when I play I have to have multiple AFKs as I do things around the house, etc. That is a play style that is no conducive to being a good and effective guild member. There are two types in guilds in MMOs. The first type and most common are a group of people who solo a lot and do a few pugs with a common chat channel. This guild is pretty much useless and really isn’t any different than soloing. The second type and what most peopel think they belong to are organized raiding guilds that require more play time and dedication then I am willing to give. I don’t want to be in either type of guild. Therefore I have to use the LFG tool to experience the group content. And that hopefully demonstrates a lot more social maturity then your condescending post does. Ahh.., the “it was so magical once in that other game” message board lament. What game was that? Because EQ at every level has thousands of jerks, gankers and ninja. Dark Age of Camolot was ruined by BOTTERS, gankers, ninjas and jerks at all levels. WoW was infested with gankers, ninjas and jerks at all levels. Being a jerk ganker and a ninja is required for EVE online. All of the above got even worse at the higher levels. And wailing away in general chat for groups sucks. But as this thread and my post demonstrates, this game does work that way. They all do.
