I'd be nice to have some kind of legacy bound equipment you could wear at like level 10, that would bolster your stats to your current level (up to level 50). This would definitely help newcomers out, by reducing the cost of equipment upgrades in the GTN, because players with full sets of bolster gear wouldn't keep buying upgrades when they're feeling too lazy to craft them. Maybe make the gear bound to legacy as soon as it is crafted, and spread it out so each crafting skill gets to make a few pieces. If the schematics require 550 skill to use, and cost some form of earned currency to buy (crystals, commendations, etc.), it would ensure the player has to have several max characters before being able to have a full set of this gear to use.

You can buy guardian mods with commendations, but only for the 'middle' levels. I do not know why this is. Probably the same reason endgame dps and healing gear is half full of armoring and mods that look like something a tank would wear.
