  1. I'm not enjoying it. Low FPS, clunky combat and a broken cover system don't make for a smooth, enjoyable gaming experience. Because of prohibitive respec costs I can't explore quests as DPS and flashpoints as healer; I don't enjoy healing my companion in solo-play. I have cancelled my subscription.
  2. If a tree falls over and a woman is there to hear it, why is there a tree in the kitchen?
  3. I wasn't referring to the scenery per se. It's just that I hardly get a glance at the action either; my situational awareness suffers because my UI isn't giving me the right information. As a result, I don't feel like a part of the flashpoint at all, I'm just following healthbars around. The game does an excellent job immersing you in it's world otherwise, this small UI improvement would help extend that immersion to flashpoints.
  4. Alot of people in this thread are confusing "not easy" with "fun". I don't want to level another two characters of the exact same advanced class just to be able to regularly play all three talent trees of my class. That's not fun. It is fun to be able to switch to DPS or healing depending on what's needed. Also, dual spec has been the savior of smaller guilds: it made group composition alot more flexible. There are so very many reasons why it is an absolute godsend. I am appaled by the type of elitist masochist MMO gamer who would rather keep a pen and paper next to his PC than use a quest log. Not a single argument of these people holds up. It's perfectly possible to be skilled at both specs. Dual spec isn't what dumbed down the WoW community. If you want to stick to your one spec and be inflexible, you're free to not use dual-spec. There are literally no downsides to dual spec.
  5. I'm a level 31 Operative and have done about ten flashpoint runs. My healing involves keeping up as many HoTs as possible to trigger procs that I can use for a free heal. My HoT stacks two times and lasts 18 seconds. Without buff filtering or a duration shown on the buff itself, I'm forced to click through the party like a crazy person to keep track of these HoTs. Because I have to completely fixate on the health frames, I have no idea what's going on around me. The flashpoints are really well designed and it would be nice if I could have a chance to actually enjoy looking at them. I'm not saying healing is broken. It's perfectly doable without a buff timer. It's just not alot of fun.
  6. I'm baffled. You can't control whether you're going to win the lottery. The development team of SWTOR is in charge of design features. Do you see how ridiculous your comparison is? I'm pretty sure you're a troll though. Nice going
  7. Let's not mention the amazing spaceship either. Ssh!
  8. That's correct. Any 'proc' gain of TA is accompanied by an evil little laugh It happens when Corrosive Strike is triggered on a poisoned enemy as well.
  9. "Dual Speccing is something we want to add soon after launch." http://www.swtor.com/news/news-article/20110916 I don't see how you can read that as a 'maybe'.
  10. You're mistaken. Not enough players are going to be willing to wait five years. An MMO can be a huge cash cow, but you have to keep subcribers entertained. Dual-spec is an easy way to keep the game fresh and interesting.
  11. Thanks for your post. I played SWG in the time that you would queue up in front of a doctor and then head out to grind quenkers. Never again. What you're describing is more of a Star Wars-themed version of Second Life. I probably wouldn't enjoy that, because I like the cooperative combat of MMOs.
  12. Your idea of fun isn't shared by the majority of humanity. Prepare to be disappointed.
