  1. Yes, what people fail to realise is that the bolster system is obsolete once you hit 50. Because the gear that you wear will be added onto the stats that you are fighting people with. For example at levels 1-48, their gear makes no difference because the stats they are fighting with are lower than a 49, and thus get bolstered, rendering their gear negligible. However at 50, the gear stats people wear go well above the base bolster stats and it adds on. Therefore, it isn't expertise truly at work here. But as with all games - gear. Regardless if it's PvP or PvE. Obviously if you're in Corellia lv.49 blue mods, you're going to lose anyone in any PvP gear because they're in 51 purple or 56 purple mods. Point is Expertise is technically overrated.
  2. Background: I am a Valor 62 Battlemaster Marauder without exploiting any of the Ilum valor farming but from grinding it out - not so fun with all the CC, when I got none, but that's besides the point. Those who don't bother reading, or act smart with 'Expertise is the best stat, l2p'. Don't bother posting, 500k Dmg Huttball, 800k Voidstar and will 1v1 whoever anyday & probably trounce you. But that's all talk, no substance to it unless you're on Darth Malak, so skip the inane stuff and don't post. Oh and tbh probably shouldn't really care.. there's not much else left to do. Full Champion Expertise - 550~ With Relics - 650~ PvP Boost - 11-12% PvE Gear - 1677 Str 1552 End 84% Crit Multi 29% Crit Chance 734-884 Dmg 18020 HP PvP Gear - 1408 Str 1298 End 81% Crit Multi 26% Crit Chance 688-841 Dmg 15680 HP A person in full PvE would definitely be slightly weaker than someone in full PvP, but that's only slightly because of the 200-300 stat boost and greatly boosted HP. However the fact is that Expertise has a huge amount of DR. Therefore ideally someone would want a mix and match of PvE and PvP pieces because of the huge stat boost in PvE gains. At 346 Expertise (Battlemaster Ear/Implants, 1 Champion Relic, 1 Champion Belt, 2 BM Sabers) I have 8% PvP Bonus. 728-881 At 636 Expertise, The PvP Bonus is only 11.8%. Dmg decreases to 688-841. 3.8% boost for ~300 Expertise? I enjoy PvP but this is certainly underwhelming, at this rate I find that BM armor is not worth getting at all. I have done some very mild testing and I hit much harder in mix and match versus another player and higher damage output on scoreboard - no healers same people in the same match of Huttball (that's how it works when you play matches consecutively, groups the same people usually). In my view a PvP geared player, especially a Battlemaster should be above someone in PvE gear when fighting against each other. Because both grinded out their gear in their respective fields. But no, someone in Rakata and a few pieces of Champion in their relic slots / accessories would out damage, out stat, and have higher HP than someone in full Battlemaster. TLDR; Full Battlemaster loses out to Full Rakata with some Expertise / PvP gear.
  3. Noobs will be noobs. I hit 50 and roll and alt cause I get thrashed in PvP lol. How about you guys go and get geared in PvE, because it takes 10x faster? Any good coordinate PvE group can be geared in full Tier 2 in less than a week to two, that's 4-8 people in full Columi, not 1. Do your dailies and in 10 days you will have 2 Tier 3 Earpiece / Implant. And that full set is on par for you to fight with T2/T3 Champion/Battlemaster geared people. Expertise is overrated, it's next to useless when compared to PvE stat boost because of DR. After you reach a certain amount of expertise you need to stack on more and more for just 0.5% boost. At around 300 expertise you should have 7% PvP boost. Full PvE set has about 200+ increased Primary Stat / Endurance. A person in full champion cap expertise is 11%.
  4. Noobs need to l2p, marauders are one of the weakest classes. Noobs will remain noobs. Jugg smash deals 30% more damage than Jugg, have force push, have heavy armor. Marauders have NO cc, force choke doesn't not work 30% of the time, and its channeled <- lame. No stuns, and 2 minute cc break. The unique spec Marauder has carnage = **** dps, annihilation = decent dps, good survivability. It CANNOT burst targets like assassin or operative because it is Damage over Time bleed effects. If you think marauder, THE weakest class in the entire game, in terms of utility or burst damage, is overpowered. You need to unsub and quit the game or stick to PvE because you're scrub. Valor 61 600k scoreboard marauder out - damage is nothing when compared to other DPS class, also our high scoreboard damage count? It's all gimmick lame smash spam with adrenals and buffs on AoE targets. Hit for 9k? Barely 6.5k fully buffed with adrenal, rage buff, power relic oh and expertise don't stack anymore sooo that's about it. And that takes 3 GCD to buff up, and then your smash might miss. Then you'd have to wait another 1-2 mins for your buff to recharge. HAHHA so funny and overpowered right? Did I mention Jugg can hit 30% more on smash? Scrubs. 5 seconds of invul? Stun then, knockback, slow 5 seconsd is freaking short. Just a single knockback and you can kill him easily he'd tickle you UNLESS rage specced and smash is charged.
  5. Oh and wins not counting to daily quests. Lovely.
  6. I'm just not sure if they have enough time to do a 360 turn or would they even be that dedicated.
  7. ^ I don't think you'd get the point until you have obtained full battlemaster and realise how fruitless and unrewarding the system is. For the record also, 6 medal equates to absolutely horrible performance. Many classes, as you said especially with the defense medals, can get 10-13 medals with 10 being easily gotten. Objectives does not grant proper obj. points nor does it rewards you as much as medals. The two defining factor is win/lose and how many medals you got, it does not matter if you scored 5 times, whether you are a great team player, or any other points you can bring. I don't think it is necessary to go too in-depth and you should be able to see how bad the PvP system is. By titles I meant to write achievement, my bad. Oh by the way, go figure out the hundreds of hours it takes to get up 10 valor ranks to only get a title from rank 60 onwards. Also, I think you got your facts completely misconstrued. You get absolutely NOTHING from hitting valor 60. You just unlock the ability to open Battlemaster bags at two a day, which could just result in many empty bags. There is absolutely no point in PvP'ing after 60 other than 'for fun'. From a PvP'er perspectives this becomes nothing more than Team Fortress 2 warzone. In fact TF2 is even better, it's competitive, has stats tracking, (lol hats galore), and waaay smooth. It's great news that they're fixing the combat responsiveness in 1.1.1, but based on the performance so far, don't expect too much. It'd probably break more things or wouldn't even fix it.
  8. Got to wonder why the stat improvement is so so minimal.
  9. ^ Yes, it's a sure drop of a purple in EV for YOU. It's just a matter of what piece you get. As for HM it's still a sure drop, just whether it's the equipment for YOU. In PvP you can get absolutely NOTHING for hours and hours of work. PvE in this game is also rather easy if you have coordination in your group, and the bosses stop bugging out or having unlootable Soa. Right now it takes much longer for someone to be PvP geared compared to PvE. It took me 2-3 weeks of farming to even get a full champion set, that's about 100~ bags I've opened and got my Main-Hand only on my 90th bag. PVE gearing is much much much faster. Easily in one run people if lucky can get 2-4 pieces of Columi or at least 1 piece of Rakata in a HM/Nightmare EV run or more.
  10. I love 'empty' Battlemaster bags. 3 champion commendations. 67 required for an armor piece. That's 11 days of 'empty' Battlemaster bags to get 1 piece of champion gear. Love the logic.

    Problems with PvP

Issues TL;DR Version. 1. CC, Stun, Knockbacks etc. 2. RNG Bags (no need further elaboration... ) 3. Armor Skins are absolutely hideous in design and low resolution 4. Same class, same look for everyone. 5. All PvP armor from centurion to battlemasters is just a color change. 5 years of hardwork. 6. Skills not activating, bugging out (ok nothing to do with the PvP dev) 7. Open World PvP = Joke 8. No progression - no stats, no titles, no basic creativity i.e unlock new pvp skin based on valor <-- Sounds neat? Dang 5 years can't think of that? 9. Medal system is terrible. Objective points is broken. --------------------------------------------------- Just a simple question, what's the point? First fundamental statement I would like to make about humans is that we enjoy progression. Progression drives many people, and can push someone who's unmotivated into a driven person if he starts seeing results. Context based off my server population, not others. Valor 1-10, discovery of PvP mechanics Valor 10-20, playing to have fun Valor 20-30, ah nice title, nice PvP leveling gear. Valor 30-59, usually reach Lv 50 somewhere here, grind for RNG based Champ bags to open 10-20 empty bags. Great feeling of euphoria baby! 1 bag = 800 WZ commendations, ~80-100 per win, so about 10 wins = 1 bag. Each match ~10-15 mins. That's about 2 hours+ per lottery ticket. Valor 60+, after many hundreds of hours of PvP, huzzah Battlemaster. Oh RNG hi. 10x worse, limited to 2 per day, MINIMAL stat improvement. Thanks for giving me +4 Expertise, +5 Endurance. I love it. Oh and full accuracy in every single armor slot enhancement. After facing hundreds of hours of imbalanced PvP frustration such as the plethora of CC, buggy unresponsive skills not activating, stuns, knockbacks, roots, slows, it culminates to two lottery bag a day with nothing else? Add on to PvP frustrations => bad public teams so Operatives = kill you before you get up, or unable to burst down a healer by yourself. Typical scenario: Oh, you've interrupted Heal A? It's okay! I have Heal B! Aw, your interrupt's on cd? (I play a Marauder, we have no stuns other than choke which frequently bugs out yet another issue). We finally reached Battlemaster to get 2 lottery tickets a day. Hm, so why PvP then. 'For fun brah' I've had plenty of 'fun' till I'm sick of Huttball (even other maps are just as dull) for the past hundreds of hours, so what do I get when I play now? Nothing, no stat tracking, no ranking, no rewards, no titles, nope - definitely no progression. Oh did I mention that the PvE armor looks waay better? And that everyone looks the same in their respective class. Aw, dang, it took 5 years to design tier 1, tier 2, and tier 3 PvP armor to only change their color palette. Great artists. Hmm.. so all the PvP gear, what do I use it for? In warzones? Where's the open world PvP? Oh, you mean that giant block of ice battlefield that's nothing more than a huge expansive warzone with empty space? The place where there's soooo few republics (on my server about 5 max, rarely 10+) because they don't even bother coming. Lucrative PvP system much.
  12. There you go, keyword - Apprentice. Low level newbie who has never PvPed and been in many life and death situations (in case newbie doesn't know, you lose your streak when you die. go research on what streak is) where your one skill can save your life and you died because it simply refused to activate on time or even activate at all. Oh and it matters in PvE too, extremely annoying especially in instances where your skill for interrupting, or buffing your teammates won't go off. Won't go too in depth, reach 50 first, then start doing HM and PvP 50 bracket.
  13. ^ In case you didn't read, this is a rebuttal to those who say 'marauders are beast / powerful / nothing need to be changed / don't buff us or we're OVERPOWERED' <- lol.
