  1. Hello @JesseReid. Yes, can confirm the issue is gone now. Forum stays in english. Thank you!
  2. When I go to the developer tracker the forums switch to german (the menu and UI are in german) but the name of the thread is "Fil du développeur" which is french. Here's a screenshot https://ibb.co/bg4nXQP. Why is this happening? Can I just have english please?
  3. I recently returned to the game and couldn't figure out why I'm not getting the components. Found this thread after googling. Can confirm this bug is still in the game. 🤦‍♂️
  4. Hello, I tried hopping onto PTS yesterday, but it was downloading the whole game and it would have taken a long time to download (my speed is fairly low during peak hours) so I gave up. I am curious though. Why doesn't the launcher simply copypaste the live assets and then patch them, like a normal update would? Seems like that would save everyone a lot of traffic and time.
  5. I see now. They started the patch 2 hours early then previously indicated. I didn't notice the change to the announcement. Never mind then. Thanks everyone. That really should never happen. Regards, Peter
  6. Hello, is anyone else having issues with the SWTOR Launcher? I've been unable to login for the past 30 mins. At first, I was getting "The launcher is being updated. Please wait..." message, but nothing was happening. Same after restart. After about 15 minutes the launcher did finally update. But now, when I log into my account, the play button lights up immediately, but isn't doing anything. And after about 2 minutes, I get the error "Unable to retrieve patch data. Please check network connection. (311)" Any ideas what I should do? I wanted to finish conquest before the patch starts. Which is in less then 90 minutes... Best regards, Peter
  7. Hey Chuck, I just ran Crisis on Umbara on my lvl 74 Merc to confirm this and I can not. I have to assume, you were doing Veteran mode by accident because everything was super easy. With the exception of the bonus boss, nothing could even hurt me. Specifically with the boss on the train, I could just stand there, with both bosses on me including the 6 turrets and my companion had no trouble healing through the small amount of damage. I killed the Assassin first, then the technician, and only then the turrets. Had no issues with last boss either. Again I could just stand there, ignore the adds, ignore the circles and kill the boss and the adds after. I would suggest you try again and make sure you got the STORY mission in your log. Best regards Peter
  8. Hello Eric, I find that a bit deceitful on your part to be honest. You had us grind for new conquest targets with the promise of new conquest rewards. Don't you remember? This was your statement before 6.0 released: And now, after we've gotten old conquest rewards, you are saying something different... Please explain why the change? Kind regards Peter
  9. Hello Infinitedrift Good. So you understand, why they didn't want to waste their time re-watching those. Don't understand why you made that choice, since you're robbing yourself of (arguably) the best part of the game. Not to mention that most of the FPs stories are connected to the pre-level 65 storylines that you skipped. There is nothing wrong with wanting to see the convos of course and the devs fully expect this. Which is why they made "Story" mode for most flashpoints. Most veterans do expect those convos to be skipped. If it's 3 against 1 then don't you think it's not really fair of you to expect them to just wait there for you to watch the convos? You can do that all by yourself in the story mode of the FP. Obviously, that doesn't excuse their behavior as you describe it, but I can't really judge that. Wasn't there, and I'm sure there are two sides to the story. If you are new to the game, then I would suggest you run through those flashpoints on story mode first. If you really want to do a Veteran FP, then you can make a group first with the intent of watching the story, or you can just try your luck with another PUG. If you declare your intent to watch the convos, people might be ok with it. I would be. Not everyone in the game is an a--hole. :-) I would also strongly suggest that you start a new character from lvl 1 and go through the story from the beginning. You'll get quests for those FPs as you progress through the story, so that it all makes sense. (Hint: Don't forget to enable "Exploration missions" in your map.) Good luck and have fun with the game Peter
  10. Hello There is also the anti-aliasing setting in SWTOR preferences. You didn't mention what kind of PC it is, but if you have a dedicated GPU, lowering the resolution might actually increase the CPU load which would have the opposite effect you're trying to achieve. Depends on where your bottleneck is and if you have V-Sync turned off. But your best solution is of course to get a better cooler for your CPU. It shouldn't overheat under any circumstances. If you have an old PC or a laptop, then opening it up and dusting it off might actually be enough to solve your problem. But again, no idea what kind of PC we're talking about. Kind regards Peter
  11. Hey there What you are suggesting would completely defeat the purpose of this change which is that people can earn conquest points by doing whatever they like doing in the game. Just because you like completing quests doesn't mean everyone does. Kind regards Peter
  12. Hello Daniel. May I ask why this article isn't showing up in the comunity blog section (http://www.swtor.com/blog) like the other content creator articles? Might have been an oversight. Kind regards Peter
  13. Hey there First time I did it my companion also bit the dust right away. Still managed to kill it with off heals and kolto stations. Didn't try it on my Jugg, but they have pretty neat defensives, so I would bet it's possible. What you can do though, guard your companion and make sure the walker is on you. Then you just have to keep some distance between you and your companion so that he/she doesn't get cought in the AoE. Which is obvisouly easier with a ranged comp. But the AoE isn't as large, so even if you have a melee one, just make sure you're on the other side of the walker at max melee distance. Have fun. Peter
  14. Hey Other then "This is just Insane" - what exactly is your issue with this? I for one like to level up. So I'm glad we can do that practically indefinitely. Is the fact that you're getting levels and rewards so much of a bother to you? I really don't get it... Peter
  15. Hello Eric, may I ask for a clarification of that statement? The 5.10 patch notes didn't mention, there is a chance for masterwork gear to drop, and I have never received a single item from tier 4 crates. This is what's in the patchnotes: Tier 3 and 4 Command Crates now have a rare chance to drop Masterwork Data Crystals. Artifact Lockboxes which contain a single piece of item rating 252 gear can now drop out of Tier 3 and 4 Command Crates. For the record, in the 5+ months since 5.10 release I have not recevied a single Masterwork Data Crystal from Tier 4 Command Crates and I've only gotten 2 pieces of 252 Artifact Lockboxes. Don't know the exact number, but by my estimates we are talking about more then 1000 crates opened in my case. Thank you Peter
