  1. "Emannuel Lusinchi (Technical Design Director): Yes, for Game Update 1.2, this is correct. Crafted gear is, in theory, superior to endgame gear obtained in other ways." I'm a little worried about this. Is this to insinuate that crafting gear will be better then, say battlemaster gear? If that's the case, then with the new ability to transfer your set bonuses from purple to orange gear, added with the new augment slots and extra mod slots then that gives crafters(say synthweavers) will have an advantage over someone in endgame purples. Say someone is in full battlemaster is going against the same class with all crit-orange gear with the same bonuses, but they have an extra augment slot and mod slot-does anyone else see an advantage?
  2. I for one think a LFD is a great addition, mostly because while leveling and gaining access to a new flashpoint(which I have already experienced all on my main toon) I am required to go to fleet and sit in /1 spamming for a group. When instead I could be on my quest planet experiencing the engrossing, fun storyline that Bioware created for my class. Instead I'm dealing with trolls and spamming the same thing over and over sometimes for over an hour. That, in my opinion is not fun. However, there is a LFG tool already in place. But it is poorly designed. One suggestion, is that if you mark yourself as LFG, your name and LFG comment should be visible on EVERY planet. Not just the /who location that you are on. I should be able to do my daily quests in Ilum and see that there is a tank and dps that complement my healer role sitting in Fleet looking for the same HM flashpoint that I am. Then i can PST them and see if they are still looking. Just a quick fix like that could vastly improve the grouping experience.
  3. why do you have this opinion of healing in SWTOR? I'm curious. I have been healing Hard Mode ops on my sage and have found it extremely enjoyable so far.
  4. just because it's a clothy caster doesn't mean it is a healer though, i.e. mages, warlocks in WoW; both of which I played and played well, I was always top dps in our raids
  5. i played as balance while leveling until i hit 50 and went Seer as my guild needed a healer. Honestly, unless it was a last move to down a target, I hardly ever cast project. It's a meh ability and I'd rather spam Telekinetic Throw and proc instant Mind Crush, and when that is on CD I use Disturbance. Project is just too expensive to use it everytime off CD. Your telekinetic throw does a truckload of damage if you spam it and youre guaranteed a nuke every other cast. Plus it regenerates your force everytime it crits. If i stick to that it takes a LONG time to go oof.
  6. I'm sorry but I simply have to disagree with you. As a 2/21/18 sage I find it all too easy to not only get away from this group but kill 1 or 2 of the opponents following me as well. When you get dragged in, bubble, instant-force lift to cc some of your attackers while you get away(if you are specced correctly it will not only grab 3 players into the air but also stun them for 2 secs when they drop back down) force speed out of there while throwing dots and slows/snares on my pursuers. if i'm low on health by now my bubble is back up so I re-bubble and Force Potency:Deliverance-Deliverance. I'm now at 90% fresh and ready to fight again with a proc for double speed telekinetic throw which procs an instant cast damage spell, either mind crush or telekinetic wave, project, and another telekinetic wave until they die. Not to mention any dots i put up on other attackers are also healing me the entire time. WE HAVE THE MOST UTILITY. If you are getting cut down by melee so easily you are a noob. Don't sit there and be a saber sponge get out of there and kite.
  7. yeah...you really showed those dev's who's boss by not shelling out 1000creds for a move that does pretty decent damage when questing or in any other situation facing mobs that aren't elite. good for you lol
  8. Hey guys so I have been wanting to delve into the expanded universe for some time and figured what better place to ask for suggestions then a community site of Star Wars gurus. I was wondering what books you guys would recommend reading first? I've been told the series by Zahn is the best place to start (Thrawn Trilogy i believe the name was). I read a Darth Bane book and found it very fun to read. I am more looking for books surrounding force users at the time as opposed to X-Wing or anything like that, perhaps in the future but I want some Jedi/Sith. Thanks for your time guys and look forward to the advice!
