  1. Hi guys, This is already a priority for us, but I can't promise a date yet. The Nightmare Mode system was originally built on the back of Hard Mode, which is why they share a lockout. It's a technical consequence of that fact, not a philosophical thing on our part.
  2. The state of the codex is in my personal gripe list, but it's a complicated web of data to untangle. To be frank, it's a daunting task, and I can't promise it's even fixable beyond targeting small, specific problems over time. I appreciate the specifics you've provided - it will help immensely with our investigation into each issue.
  3. We would really like to allow players to unlock datacrons at the Legacy level, and it's pretty high on my personal wishlist. We're still investigating the technical feasibility, so I can't make any promises.
  4. The weekly cap on Classic Commendations will be removed in an upcoming patch. Incidentally, there is currently a bug that causes the game to warn you that you've exceeded your weekly cap even when you are at 0 in your weekly progress (it's erroneously looking at your total commendations). Make sure you check the actual weekly progress value displayed in your currency tab.
  5. That is correct. You will no longer need Recruit gear because of the way Bolster now works. The 'Advanced Gear' missions have been removed, because the item game at 50-55 has changed significantly. Flashpoints at 50+ now drop significantly better equipment than before, and gearing up at 55 is a whole new ballgame.
  6. I get where you're coming from - that's why the weapons themselves are BoL. You'll be able to purchase the weapon with your healer and mail it to your Sentinel. Or you can earn Components on both characters and get a weapon for each of them in the same amount of time, since the Reputation points are shared.
  7. Gray Helix Components are BoP so that players with only one character at 45+ aren't at a massive disadvantage. Having several alts is a significant advantage while earning Reputation, but some very specific rewards are special enough that they take a bit of extra time and cooperation to obtain. The Event will repeat with enough frequency that you will be able to obtain these items even if you miss out on Components this time around.
  8. So let me step in here and explain why these changes were made and what we'll be doing to improve the current situation. When Explosive Conflict was released, it was stuffed full of Black Hole Commendations in all difficulty modes, which was not actually intentional. For some guilds, this setup heavily incentivized running a single Operation twice every week to maximize their accrual rate. For other guilds, this made the prospect of attempting hard mode risky and inefficient compared to sticking with story mode. It was awkward and puzzling, but it sort of worked, so we left it as is. With the balance adjustments to Explosive Conflict in 1.4, we took the opportunity to correct the loot packages. Story mode is intended for players who want to run Operations in a more relaxed atmosphere; it's not meant to replace or bypass hard modes, but it should offer incentives that smoothly segue into the higher difficulties. Unfortunately, we erred on the low side with those incentives and failed to communicate the changes for 1.4. We apologize for the oversight. So here are the changes you'll be seeing in 1.4.3: - Increased Black Hole Commendations granted by [WEEKLY] Galactic Operations from 8 to 15. - Increased Black Hole Commendations granted by [WEEKLY] Galactic Crisis Points from 8 to 20. - The final boss of Terror From Beyond now drops additional Black Hole pieces in story mode. (+2 in 8-man, +4 in 16-man) - The final boss of Explosive Conflict now drops additional Black Hole pieces in story mode. (+2 in 8-man, +4 in 16-man) The key here is that guilds running story mode aren't forced to play it safe every week, but it's perfectly valid if they'd like to. The weekly missions should provide a good avenue for guilds gearing up for the recent hard modes, especially with the upcoming addition of Campaign Armorings to the Black Hole vendors in 1.5. It also makes more sense - Operations should be the best source of gear commendations regardless of difficulty mode. As for nightmare mode Karagga's Palace, the commendations were actually removed as a side-effect of migrating the chests out in favor of putting loot directly on the bosses; however, the updated boss loot did not make it into 1.4. In 1.4.3, the commendations will be migrated to the weekly mission, and the vanity items will be moved directly onto the bosses: - [WEEKLY] Deadly Operations now grants 10 Black Hole Commendations. - In nightmare mode, the Dessler Turbo is now guaranteed to drop directly from Karagga the Unyielding. - In nightmare mode, most bosses in Karagga’s Palace now have a chance to drop the M0-GUL Thrall Droid or Karagga’s Unyielding Helm. One of our top priorities for future updates is to shape the endgame gear progression into something more coherent. We’ll also be working harder to keep a dialogue open with you guys. Good hunting!
  9. The new tier of gear in HM Terror From Beyond is higher-level than Campaign. It shares the appearance, but it uses a new color palette.
  10. Make no mistake - a great deal of our time has been spent developing the new Operation, Terror From Beyond. Nightmare mode as a feature just needed a number of improvements before it could be worked into the progression properly. We definitely know you guys want to see new stuff.
  11. Nightmare Denova is coming. It has taken longer than we'd like, because we've been reworking NM to be a full-fledged difficulty mode with its own loot and its own mechanics. Trust me, we want to put it in your hands as soon as we can.
  12. Guys, thanks for the feedback. Some wires got crossed on the ground target attack, but we've got a fix coming soon, along with some additional hardening on the berserk mechanic. I'd also like to send a shout-out to all the guilds who have been streaming their attempts on PTS, as it gives us a lot of great data for fixes and future mechanics.
  13. Guys, thanks for the excellent write-up. We're incorporating your feedback into our iteration on the fight.
  14. Thanks for reporting these issues - we will look into them ASAP.
