  1. Hi guys! There might be some more people out there with tons of characters who would like to get their chat and interface settings back after the merge. The settings files for your characters lie here: C:\Users\[userName]\AppData\Local\SWTOR\swtor\settings The file names begin with the server ID. Unfortunately BioWare did not migrate those files with a patch. So all your settings are still there but named with the old server IDs. To get your settings back, just rename the files with the new server IDs: he3001 - Satele he3000 - Star Forge he4000 - Malgus he4001 - Tulak Hord he4002 - Leviathan Old server IDs (not quite sure about former east coast): he1084 - Jedi Covenant he1086 - Prophecy of the Five he1093 - Shadowlands he1098 - Ebon Hawk he2000 - Bastion he2002 - Harbinger he6122 - ToFN he6124 - TRE he6127 - T3-M4 he6132 - Mantle of the Force Please correct or add old IDs of your servers. Cheers Blizzax
  2. Didn't you guys say you would have new and more powerful hardware to run the new 5 servers?? It seems like you did not. You are just saving some money. I am disappointed... Having to queue for logging in to a server - especially as a subscriber and thus paying for it - was not what I did expect after this merge. Go and scale up your VMs. This is not a situation I am willing to tolerate for long.
  3. This. It's exactly this. And it happens since the last Windows update. I've tabbed a way very often while the game was loading or on the selection screen without any crashes. Since the update I can reproduce this crash behavior with just tabbing away before choosing a character.
  4. My posts have been deleted. It seems customer supports treats putting the word "exploit" together with a linked video in one post already as breaking the forum rules... Not quite unexpected - but sad, since it's evidence not just an untenable accusation...
  5. Since you removed the first bug report - containing a video link to actual evidence of how this bug has been exploited - I'll add another one without the linked video. The bug: In Galactic Starfighter it is possible to place a hyperspace beacon within a satellite. This can be achieved by positioning the bomber very close - almost touching - to the satellite. Then turning around the bomber and deploying the beacon results in the beacon appearing within the satellite. This problem is most likely caused by deployable items getting placed behind a bomber's current position. Since satellite walls are only 2-dimensional structures, the initial drop distance already lies within the satellite. The exploit: Currently players use this bug to position their team's ships within the satellites. Those ships cannot be attacked. They count as holding the satellite and can attack other ships. This way it is easy to win a GSF match without much effort. In fact all others than the bomber deploying beacons don't have to do anything but spawn, press "X" and go afk. And in the end all get rewarded for the win plus additional CXP for medals (objective points for satellite holding). Please fix this bug before this exploit starts to appeal to a greater number of players. Please take action against the exploiters (you should have received a lot of material through tickets, PMs, etc. from several players).
  6. Thanks for that idea. I've also added a message to Eric Musco for some additional attention. I tried to point out that this is also a threat to Galactic Command, because of easy CXP gain without effort.
  7. That is not the goal and usually not the result.
  8. Hey guys, thank you for your participation on January 12th and 14th. We had some great matches. Hope to see some of you next time: January 26th and 28th. Cheers
  9. Just a bump to bring the next dates of this series into focus (see first post).
  10. Great, thanks for you answer. I guess, it's quite ok that way. Sometimes it's difficult enough to scratch a good bomber from a node. Those 29% DR even against BLC/Pods or slugs would buy them valuable additional seconds to hold the satellite.
  11. This video shows successful and unsuccessful lock-on attempts. On failed attempts the reason for the lock-on failure is highlighted. The material is from a single match this afternoon. Remember: No matter that you can land hits with this weapon, it is not a great one. They may have a benefits when dealing with bombers, but that job can still be done much better by gunships. You may not have good alternatives for the secondary weapon on a T3 scout (Spearpoint/Bloodmark), but this scout type is inferior to the other two types. On the T1 scout (Novadive/Blackbolt) you should go with Rocket Pods.
  12. Great to see you are paying GSF again some more visits, Drakolich. I have a bomber question for you: The typical CP bomber stacks damage reduction to 39% + 60% for charged plating. As we all know there are plenty of weapons ignoring armor. Their tool tip says "ignores 100% of enemy armor". Now the question: Did you ever use Nullify on top of Charged Plating? And if so: Did you then have 29% damage reduction against AP weapons (39+60+30-100) or was the stat completely ignored? Just reading the descriptions I would expect damage reduction to be completely ignored by AP weapons - no matter the value. But GSF does calculate a lot of values by mere adding and subtracting percentage values. It's not that easy to test. But maybe you did this already some time ago.
  13. In my experience Thermites work as expected. I use them frequently at the beginning of DOM matches with some of my T3 scouts on bombers. I didn't see "mysterious" lock losses so far, but bombers are pretty easy to keep centered. Usually I don't try to lock on Thermites on scouts or gunships - maybe sometimes to annoy them. But landing them on ships with two missile breaks is almost impossible - as it is with any missile except Cluster Missiles. On the servers I fly most of the time I have ping times of 30-40ms. And as I've said keeping bombers centered isn't that difficult if you choose the right angle to target them. Maybe there is an issue at the edges of the firing arc, but my guess is that it's a lag or fps related issue. Could also be that the targets you try to lock on are lagging if both your connection and client are in best shape.
  14. I made tickets on these issues. Customer service confirmed this as being bugs, which are recorded in bug tracking. Doesn't mean they will get fixed anywhere soon, but at least this is known to be bugged.
  15. I'd love this to be continued. But this kind of "event" is relying heavily on active participation. So to all you veterans having fun flying strikes or awkward bombers, etc.: Don't forget to remind the others of this in chat - especially on Mondays.^^ See you in the skies, cheers Blizzax
