  1. It's simple. Once you hit 50 you will have random fraction alignment everyday. Think about it after 50 everything fraction/class specific is over. Only difference between imp/pub is look. Thus, assign guilds and unaffiliated toons a random imp/pub rotation to make every server 50/50 balance. One day you will be a sorcerer, next day you will be a sage. Problem fixed!
  2. Then the pubs would complain because imps can (trade)kills with eachother for dailies but pubs are still forced to go against the entire imp force. Only way to balance servers is a 1 times fraction change imp to pub with a cap for free. You transfer your main and keep all gear/credits ect. I know plenty of people who wish to change but don't want to start all over after just hitting 50 My guess is the revs have stated that the (majority) of players are still in the 30-40 range and they assume balance will be closer when everyone is 50. Issue is that means pub side has alot more casual players who aren't putting in the game time to make it seem balanced even after they reach level. I would wager the most balanced server currently is 30%-70% imp at 50 looking only at 1 main per account.
  3. Only way this has a shot to happen is a free 1 time fraction change imperial to republic. Class/abilities/gear all transfer. Game just released people are just now clearing endgame with new bosses getting released. Few people are bored of level 50 and ready to reroll. Fail wish.
  4. Incase anyone is wondering his pricing is off. I actually paid to level biochemical through the gtm. It took me less than a day to level to 400 using a guide making only green items. I play on a heavy pop server so 90% of needed mats were on gtm available. It cost me somewhere between 800k-1million credits to level. You could probably do for cheaper if you wait for bottom prices but 200k is way under. Don't go this route unless you have alot of spare credits.
  5. So let's get this straight, if order for there to not be a lfg tool, finding pugs must be easy. Let's analyze your solution. 1) spam chat - everyone on this form agrees this is ineffective and should not ne necessary 2) make friends. In order to make in game friends you must form groups with them. Thus you are pugging. Thus you are slamming chat until you build a base group of friends. (I am looking at this from a new player perspective with no RL friends who play, you can't count people who trasnferex together from another mmo because those people made little or no attempt to make new friends in game they already had their base.) Thus for first time players making friends means slamming chat. 3) join a guild. 1 many people don't want to (you can't alienate them because they don't conform to how you want) 2 to get into a good guild you must first apply which requires you to know fights, meaning you had to originally pug them (see argument 1 and 2). Lastly you are in a guild and 2 dos want to run a heroic but there are no guild tank/heals available. Thus you must now pug you guild group with 1 or 2. The best thing about random lfg in wow was there was no lockout. Thus tanks/heals were more available for dps. Dos will always be left out of content bc there are not enough tanks/heals to go around. Lfg solves all these problems. Arguing against lfg solves no problems. If you don't want lfg present a solution to finding pugs because I just states how the three current methods fail.
  6. Agreed. I've said this manytimes but it is ignored by those who are arguing against lfg. They're 2 arguments are (ruin community and dumb down content) if you present anything else it is ignored. They have no legs to stand on we have disproved that those things are guaranteed results. Arguemrnt is over bioware knows who to side with.
  7. That is a terrible argument. What service in the world is based on chance? Your car is broke? Cool pay me and I may fix it or you might get it back broken. You want to order food? Cool pay up front may've I'll serve it. No pay for chance service works except lottery and casinos and it least in those you get to participate when you lose money. You're deck means 'pay to play' but I give you no ticket so you have no chance to win. Most people arguing for lfg in this thread don't want 'eazy purples' they want to see content. I don't want purples handed to me if it means I sit in town all day and do nothing. This argument is about access to content hard or easy. He'll let's make the game a better game of chance. Someday we'll let you log in, some days you'll be denied access. Same situation if you are denied access to content your denied access to game. Let's make your game not work 50% of the time and see if you are happy with the game.
  8. Bioware said 'try spamming chat if you don't like it we'll change it' The hard core players who play many hours at a time are 50 and don't like it. You think the casual players who play 1-2 hours a day are going to enjoy slamming chat during their only play time? It's not a kneejerk, they tried it, it's failing.
  9. By the way, if anyone ever read bioware's initial statement about why lfg wasn't included at launch they said. Swtor has put the majority of flashpoints in the same location. This will allow players sho want to run a fl to go to this area and ask for groups (aka spam chat). Bw hopes this improves community but if this doesn't work we will look at implementing lfg in a later patch. Basically bw said they wanted to see if chat slamming was viable for grouping. This thread proves its not. No one can argue that because your argument is (join a guild). That's not viable because it would require your guild to have perfect 1 tank, 1 nestled, and 2dps makeup. Always are there more dos then tanks and heals. So some guild members will be left out of guild runs forcing them to spam chat. Assuming everyone spamming chat is unguided/has no friends is your downfall. Most of time its 2-3 friends or guild members who need to fill a spot they don't have. Lfg will he added bc biowares experiment with fl placement did not solve the problem. Bioware made the statement they have to follow through or risk losing customers who no longer trust them
  10. You do realize that you are securing that you are more entitled to gear/content because you have a long list of friends that you've made over years, and are therefor better than someone who just started playing when this game was released. You're argument basically tells me you want to be 'special' and one of few people on a server who is geared. That attitude will ruin swtor faster than a lfg because for the game to survive people must pay to play, and in your world most people will quit and refill WoW.
  11. I need to not be required to spam chat for an hour with a 50/50 chance it works. I bought the game to play the content, not sit and wait around. People are not going to pay for a game their doing more sitting than playing in
  12. Wow didn't fail bc of lfg wow is slowly failing because people are ready for something new. However with every other mmo people quit wow for a month or two then go back because its better. To compete with wow you have to improve on wow, not rebrake the game. Lfg kept people playing, I've already seen about 6 posts of people quitting because of no lfg, people want content, if they want to talk they wont pay to play they'll join a cahtroom or go to a bar. I don't pay $15 a month to sit in game for an hour to do something for 45 min. If you enjoy talking in general you can still do that while im in lfg. Chances are people like mr rt talking in chat anyways but we are quitting the game.
  13. Good argument except I bet the majority of players play to see content and not sit in a city and talk, community maybe a large component of the game cut content is the backbone and if the large majority of players don't get to see the content or see it at the rate they will quit. Like it or not the people who play for what you want is in the minority. You played on a (social) realm and I bet not even 10% of the players in the realm took part in the social interactions you speak of
  14. Incorrect, guild doesn't = runs people still have to want to do it, be online, have time, ect 2) no one is accusing for easy they're securing for accessibility, your inability to separate the two is your own fault
  15. Separate your arguments/issues. No one here is saying (make flaspoints easier) we are asking for a system that let's us group for them. Assuming lfg = easy flashpoints is wrong. Im sure many people are for endgame being fought, but we want to be able to easily find groups to do it with
