  1. Sadly, I think it is too little too late. The window of opportunity for a game like this to take hold becomes smaller and smaller as we become less patient and more ADD as a society. People are not going to wait around for server transfers or mergers at some point later in the summer. No. An MMO needs to be able to quickly adapt to whatever happens with their server population or just suffer the consequences of what is happening here. Maybe this will be a lesson to future MMOs, It is too bad. Could have been a great game. Now it won't have enough people to support it becoming that.
  2. It's pretty much too late. I had fun with the story line for my first character. Unfortunately, I rolled it on a server that slowly died. I am not interested in waiting around for people to queue up for pvp or instances while catching a disease. The world is huge, but nobody is in it. I tried re-rolling on another server, but that just annoys me because I have already gone to 50 and doing it again is tedious. The server transfers will come too little and too late. The smart thing would be to open it up so everyone can move wherever they want for a week. Let the dust settle, then close off servers that are too low in population. But, they will probably only let you move one character, and you'll have to pay. No thanks. I can dabble in WoW and be happy until something better comes out (Titan perhaps?). Nice try, SWTOR, you were fun, but you just didn't have legs.
  3. Most of what I do in game is pvp. I also like to have a story that gives my game a framework. It makes sense for hutball to be same faction, it is a competitive sport. Voidstar is raiding an enemy ship. Make another competitive sport type wz, but don't kill the story. I have not seen anyone welcome this change. Maybe on servers where it is one-sided, but that is a different problem that suggests another solution. Cheap and stupid.
  4. I really don't care about $15, what I care about is that a game I had a lot of hope for seems to be slipping into the crap pile. Oh well, onto the next one.
  5. What next? Republic gets Sith and Empire gets Jedi? Maybe we can choose which fleet we want to hang out in too. Star Wars, Street Fighter? What is the point of even having a story where the two sides are at war? I don't like to be one to just complain about developments, but this is just sad.
  6. Good points indeed. I pretty much only do pvp and class quests. The regular quests are just filler or something to do if I am not in the mood to do one of my main things. It seems like pvp is getting the shaft lately. *** is up with fighting the same side in voidstar? That's just ridiculous. I understand these games evolve and change. Oh well, if it doesn't improve, maybe a better game will come along. Can always go back to wow and level up alts in bgs. lol
  7. Is this really a war between Empire and Republic, or just a big sandbox/arena? I expect there to be imbalances when new patches come out, and things get messed with, but I don't expect the entire theme of the game to be compromised because some people don't like hut ball. Stupid.
  8. I can't sit around on this server that seems to be losing its interest in warzones daily. Can't get in games without long waits. I have read that there are some good servers for quick queues in pvp, but a lot of the info is a couple of months old. Considering how fast it has changed on my server, I am posting another "what is a good server for warzones" question. I would rather stick with west coast, I don't care what kind of server, just want to get in games. If you have no trouble getting into wz pretty much any time of day, please post your server and faction. Thanks!
  9. If you only pvp for the little bag reward then many of us won't miss you if you stop pvping after it is gone. PVP is for fun.
  10. I don't sub for 6 month chunks, but I'll be playing this game that long or longer. People need to realize that this game is in it first few weeks of release. Does anyone recall the first few weeks or months of wow? Any game of this scale is going to have issues, silly design decisions, etc etc. But the great thing about it is that they can keep improving it. They will not improve it in every direction that everyone wants, so there will always be whiners. But I think this game is off to a great start. It's the only MMO I'll be playing this year, most likely. It's usually better not to check the forums that often.
