If you didn't like the game before 1.2, I doubt you'll like it after 1.2. I loved it before, and so much more now with the Legacy system. Other stuff is cool too. Save yourself the time, I have a feeling that if you came back you'd just quit again and post something saying how much you hate the game.

Sorry, I should've specified, I'm talking about getting into PvE tanking. The pvp gear I'm refering to has Def, Shield rating and absorbtion on it.

I hit fifty a about a week ago, but I'm finally getting around to concentrating on my Vanguard again. Now, gearing him up, where do I start? I was running around Fleet checking all the vendors. I'm just trying to build myself a good starter tanking set. I came across one of the PvP vendors that sold stuff for credits. I don't remember what it's called but it had pieces in there for pvp tanks. I was curious, would buying that stuff up be good for starters? I have no tank gear since I lvl'd Assualt spec so it would be quicker. I'll be playing my friends, a Sent, Sage and a Gunslinger. Thanks

My first toon was a sniper and I gave up on him about lvl21. I coudln't get used to the cover mechanic. Now i've level'd a Vanguard to 50, and messed around with several others. I came back to the Sniper a few days ago, he's now lvl23 and for some reason the entire playstyle that once felt so wierd and uncomfortable to me, now feels powerful and fluid. Not sure why. I'm MM so far and destroying everything.

At first I didn't like Khem, then in my first meeting with Lord Zash in Kass City, how he got in her face and said he was going to devour her, he looked so big and muscular, I like him much more now.

Hey folks, about to level my first Empire toon. I have a lvl50 Vanguard, I ran tank spec the whole way grouping for FP's as much as possible. My next toon I wanted to be a soloing king. I was thinking either a Merc or a sorc, and I decided on a Sorc. As of 1.2, which spec will net me the best soloing experience? I'm guessing I'll have to put a little into the healing tree too to ensure I can solo as much as possible, but again, I'm not sure where to go with that. Thanks much.

I'm going gunnery, I know pretty much exactly what I want there. However, since i grouped alot with my Vanguard up to 50, I'm kind of going to use my Commando for soloing, exploring, etc. Jorgen will probably be my main companion I use. Which points, or how many points should I put into Combat Medic to make my spot healing easy? Or which one's are essential to ensuring I will be able to tackle all the heroic2+ missions?

Why are people so bent out of shape over this? Who cares, it's $15. If $15 dollars matters that much to you, then you should probably be working more than playing games. I've been playing since pre-release and like you don't have much time to play as I would like. My highest toon is only lvl46. Usually only play fri-sun. I'm glad some people got the free time, not worried about not getting it myself. Show's how much BW cares about their customers.

I kill them on my Vanguard all the time. They are strong but not that OP.

Cool, thansk for the replies. Yeah, since i got my VG to 50, just want a ranged toon and since the Cannon they use turns me on I'll definetly give it a go.

Just got my Vanguard to lvl50. Happy to finally have a lvl50. He's a tank. I've tried rolling a Sage, Shadow, Sent and a Guardian to the late teens and early 20's but just couldn't get into it. I'm thinking of rolling another Trooper to be a commando because I've always been jealous of the huge Cannon's they carry. I think they look much cooler than Vanguard, only they can't tank and my first toon had to be a tank. Anyways, back to topic, anyone with two Troopers have a hard time going through the story a 2nd time? I'd deffinely be a dark side trooper with my commando if I rolled one.

Asking this here as it pertains as much to the class as to the crew skill. I'm only lvl16 making my way through the Justicar territory on Corscant. I'm going Sytheweaving since I plan on using Kira almost exclusively for RP reasons. I find my self sitting to heal after every fight or every other fight. I'm crafting blue gear as I can for both myself and Kira. I can't help but think that maybe going Biochem would fair better? Am I wrong in this thinking, will things start to become more efficient? My armormech vanguard didn't really have this problem even up until the mid 20's when I got Dorne. Just curious. I like the idea of Sytheweaving because I like making my own armor, but I also don't want to get frustrated at feeling inefficient. Thanks.

How slow is it? Painfully slow? I leveled my VG to 42 tank spec. 1-35 wasn't horrible, but 35+ was aweful, I finally switch to a dps spec and went so much faster.
