  1. It does not post to the timeline. It goes to a small section called Recent Activity. It is there, just not very in your face.
  2. Why are achievements not one of the posting options?
  3. Skill is the ability to make luck happen on purpose...so there you have it.
  4. To fix pvp, they really just need to award valor/xp/comms from killing the opposing players anywhere (i.e. not Ilum and warzones), have some sort of scoreboard at the fleets that shows top guilds/players by kills/valor, and then provide some sort of incentive for guilds/players being in the top 25% (or some other arbitrary percentage). Basically copy the GCW system from Galaxies. BW already nailed the slideshow pvp from Galaxies so this should not be much of a stretch for them.
  5. Patch 1.2 seems to be used quite a bit as a catch all for when pvp issues will be resolved. Can we get some actual details on the things that will be in this patch?
  6. It is all in the wording. Dont think of expertise as a stat. Just think of it as a way to do additional damage/healing to player characters. The pickups allow you to do an additional 15% damage or healing to a player character. It does not boost any of your stats all. If you have gear with the expertise stat on it and in total this gives you 10% expertise, all it means is that you will do an additional 10% damage or healing on a player character. If you now use a powerup or adrenal that number will jump to 25%. The flip side is that your expertise also decreases damage received from a player character by the same amount. If you have two players that both have 10% expertise it will cancel out, because your damage against that player is boosted by 10% but their expertise reduces the damage by 10%. All this is verifiable on the pvp section of your character sheet.
  7. No need to feel silly. This whole section of the forum is for these kinds of questions.
  8. The expertise wont change any of your damage stats and you dont need to already have expertise to benefit from it. On your character sheet there is a dropdown to show pvp stats and you will see that you do get 15% expertise when using the item.
  9. Very much this. They should make neutral bases spawn randomly on planets, but have a set vulnerability time. Ideally it would take at least 8 people to capture it, and if successful, everyone that participated in capturing it splits 4K valor between them or something. If the base is not captured by either faction, it remains neutral. The side that controls the base until the next time it is vulnerable should be able to have access to some sort of PvP vendor that is inside. The vendor could possible sell the Cent/Champ pieces at a slight discount, or perhaps sell the warzone medpacks/stims for credits, or some other vanity items.
  10. Thanks very much for the detailed reply, though it is a bit depressing as I am a commando trooper. The Assault spec is perfect for warzones to prevent objectives from being capped, but seems it falls flat for anything else as a commando. Oh well, back to gunnery for me I guess...
  11. Is this still the accepted rotation? I was in EV last night and we were on the "boss" where everyone fights a single enemy and I was the last one to take mine down. I was using that rotation exactly, but the dps seems laughably low. I am in full champ gear, which I know is PvP gear, but the dps just seems too low.
  12. Go ahead and post your frustrations, but dont ruin the actual game for others please.
  13. They are trying. They dont get much love when they show up so why should they?
