  1. MMO's in general. The hate train from disgruntled players from WoW keep trying to move onto other games and eventually migrate back into that game. Even then, I think the majority are playing the wrong type of game with people requesting cross realm LFG and so forth. If you want to play something that involves little to zero social interaction, Battlefield 3 is $60 and has no subscription fee. I feel so bad for GW2 only because of the hate train heading that way and the majority trying to expect WoW out of GW2. The only difference with GW2 is that there's no subscription. The hate train in general are trying to love an MMO they used to love and many newer MMO's are paying the price for that.
  2. Well if there's one thing that SW:TOR has done right is the PvP and as much as I hate to admit it, balancing of the classes. I've never touched PvP at all other than the very rare world PvP in WoW. That completely changed in TOR as I've never been PvPing this much since BC. In fact I like the PvP alot more in this game than the PvE. If arena's were to be implemented, Bioware HAS to commit to it. Blizzard themselves admit that adding arena's into WoW was a mistake. If Bioware provides 100% support to this, I'll be doing these as well. FYI http://wow.joystiq.com/2009/11/13/blizzard-arenas-were-a-mistake/ That's definitely true especially in cataclysm. Every PvPer I've known felt disrespected on how they handled either PvP balance or the big MMR exploitation that did it's damage on the high end brackets. Took them this season to reset MMR but it left a bad taste in their mouth.
  3. Combat logs and rated warzones will fix it. If being dead last on meters and being the lowest represented in warzones don't ring a bell in the Bioware office, I don't know what will at this point.
  4. And 1.5 should have been 1.0 on the other game that everyone enjoys. It only took them 7-8 months after release though but it's okay
  5. Every MMO from here on won't be able to compete against that "game" because the majority of us are trying to enjoy a genre that we used to enjoy. Feel bad for the upcoming MMO games because it'll always get compared to that "game" and when they make all those comparisons, that new mmo won't appeal to them. Don't worry guys MoP will fix it!
  6. Operatives are pretty much dead in this game now unless you really really love healing. Also how long till the great Sentinel/Marauder nerf? Sorcerer's and Bounty Hunter's get to work!
  7. Well at least healing just got a whole lot easier for operatives....
  8. The cooldown on hidden strike was lulz. Vanishn is pretty much the cooldown on hidden strike on PvE and PvP anyway.
  9. General consensus for operatives is that we got hosed. Not expecting a 500+ page response this time around since the majority of them already re-rolled. The only operative type that will live now are healers.... You'll be back to playing whatever after a month. Whether it's WoW or this. Have fun with Battle.net 2.0 ghost-towns.
  10. The word casual can mean many things. To me it's someone who plays 10 or so hours a week. Well by now, there's alot more players experienced in the MMO genre compared to say... 2004 when that next big thing was released. To keep it short, yes. Yes. Playing that other big game in 2004, remember 1-60 taking weeks if not some months and then some. I see it as a positive though in SW:TOR because questing itself can take you to 50 without doing PvP or space missions. Had no choice but to grind mobs back in the day. In easy mode yes. The only challenge people might face is the 4th boss in the Kragga's Palace. No. If anything this game starts at level 1. Not at max level which is one of my biggest compliments in this game. Like I said from above, there's a whole lot more people playing MMOs now than before and have at least experienced a raid setting. If anything I did expect something easy from Bioware in the first go round to gauge how they do in end game. At least they're putting in some time in nightmare modes. At least the Japanese Sudoku style bosses were quite refreshing. I'll give Bioware +1 on that for creativity. Overall I think normals are just fine for the casuals who want to see the end game and the storyline. When it gets to the point of forcing people into the higher level difficulties (Hello 30% buff!), then I'd be upset if I was still a hardcore player. Not trying to say casual = bad or anything, but I expect nightmare mode to be a nightmare mode like in Sunwell spending months of wiping in Mu'ru. (Okay you got me). Come to think of it, I don't think a whole lot of people can endure that anymore in an MMO.
  11. TBH I was expecting a nerf operative here but, it's the same old arguements being brought up on the operative forums. Fixed that for you.
  12. - Free character boost to 50 - Free 7 days - Free faction/server transfer - Free upgrade to uhh okay you got me there.
  13. The game is failing because of loot? That's something new and informative. Thank you sir for bringing this up with us. You have made more people aware of this issue and we will continue to monitor LOW level dungeon loot drops and bad RNG.
  14. Because those people who hate grouping are playing the wrong game. They'll be much happier playing Call of Duty and with an Xbox live community where you see them once, and that's it.
  15. From some of my friends who still play WoW for 7+ years, a slap in the face for being loyal through the tough times. The fact that they're giving away the shop shows that they're expecting another massive drop in subs. If I were still playing WoW, i'd be upset that they're offering all that jazz to someone who has quit the game. They're pretty much rewarding people for quitting with that package. This guy gets it. Alot of people are trying to make it seem like Blizzard are innovators and Blizzard even admitted themselves that they never innovate. They try to take what works from other games and add it into theirs and refine it a little. Since the MMO genre isn't offering a whole lot of "innovation", they're giving the people one of the most played games which is Pokemon. Problem this genre faces right now is that it's no secret that everyone has played WoW. The moment you "leave" WoW to another game and start making comparisons, you're gonna end up back in WoW bringing your problems with WoW to another game. Come to think of it, that's kinda sad that Blizzard has this genre in the bag. That's what we deserve for allowing a monopoly. Like the NBA slam dunk competiton. Amazing in the late 80's and with Vince Carter. Now it's just an abomination. The MMO needs Vince Carter and his creative dunks.
