  1. I am truly surprised people are still playing this game. I canceled my sub a while ago just waiting for my 3 months sub package to expire. This community is garbage in that so many people actually think the changes to mercs were okay in 5.0. I slugged through the punishment and abuse by playing ranked and straight dominating pre 5.0 in regs. I would average 3 solo kills a game PRE 5.0. Its an ugly type of stupid when so many are supporting mercs 5.0. But not the worst part that complexly ruined it for me... That the devs CLEARLY took big ole poops in the bed with the gearing design changes...... only to CLEARLY see they messed up and having to backtrack to fix what they broke. We will have a convoluted gearing system after Jan 24th that so obviously should never have been changed in the first place. Its laughable a company can mess up so badly and still have a customer base. I suggest playing Star Wars Battlefront when you need to scratch the star wars itch. (Still owned by EA though) Otherwise GW2 most recent xpac is sweet and Final Fantasy RR is straight up awesome if you like challenging games (not that mmos are) Yes, everyone can have all my stuffs!~ I am putting my 50 mill in my guild bank to hold my spot in case this game is less awful in 6 months.
  2. HAHAHAHA Stupid awesome! Just finished a match on my merc. 30k hit, 2 solo kills! Oh... and... a 107k heal. LOL! Ya class is fine. Back to trolling the masses.
  3. This thread is straight up nonsense. Pre 5.0 mercs were above average in regs, they only lacked in 4 vs 4 arenas. IF you could not solo most fights in regs with net + their previous DCDs then it makes sense you are in this thread to start. Alas, I don't give a **** anymore. I have canceled my subscription after a team of 6 mercs + 2 others in a huttball talked **** to me on my PT. lol I will be using the remainder of my subscription by joining in on the trolling and playing my Elite Warlord Merc to hopefully make others quit the game as well.
  4. Yaaaaap, I am canceling the subscription. Paying for this game is straight up paying to be trolled. My last pvp match ever was 6 mercs in huttball and THEN they talked **** about skills. give idiots an inch and they will take a mile. Yes everyone can have all my stuffs.
  5. Currently rocking a tactics Vanguard because I am a glutton for punishment. How does the class's 3% heal off shoulder cannon compare?
  6. Totally broken. I have a valor 100 merc and mando. Pre 5.0 ranked was tough, yes. But there were not a lot of people I could not solo in regs. Stealth classes, lol. quite literally numerous solo kills per game. the class has been getting small DCD tweeks for some time. This new nonsense is deff over the top.
  7. I am also logging in less and less. I just very recently hit Tier 2 and get sick thinking about grinding through to Tier 3, I still only have 4/6 230 set bonuses and most of the command crates are garbage. My guild as a whole is also not logging in as much, our Friday and Saturday raid nights are no longer a thing.
  8. this post stinks of fotm's and lack of intelligence. Those excited about this massive buffs to give them the best DCDs in the game seem to forget all the minor tweaks that have been made to the class pre 5.0. Rocket out, self heals, their PvE agro reducer, All these these buffs were given so the class could be more survivable when focused. Not to mention, the class had no problem whatsoever being a top performer in regular 8 man pvp matches, these new buffs are absurd. Countless times a day arenas (ranked and unranked) I am in have at least 50% mercs/mando. Out of 8 randomly selected classes, 4+ are mercs/mandos...... That is a clear sign people are taking advantage of this silly easy and OP class. If you are happy about it then you are wrong, its bad for the pvp community. The 80k self heal is fine if they can cease their dmg output, much like a sorc/sage bubble. But noooope, they can still drop their 30k bombs lol.
  9. I am giving my opinion as non biased as possible on the class and how it affects the dynamic of PvP as a whole. Mercs/mando were always focused first because they are a huge threat at long range, not because they are an easy kill. These DCDs are fine if they scale down their damage output. If they can still be a huge mobile threat form a distance, then yes they need to scale back the new crazy DCDs. The class already has tons of defensive tools without the new changes.
  10. They are ranked poorly because a lot of non pvpers are using the class to earn quick CXP. should be obvious. Nerf the damage output if the DCDs remain. 40k crits + 90k instant self heals = BROKEN

PLEASE do not reference "leaderboards" for ranked pvp when relating tot he class changes, With the influx of solo ranked ques that have never done it and people just wanting CXP, you are referencing flawed data. This entire thread is about the "sheep" that are picking up their mercs/mando (its a cool class) because their OBVIOUS advantages to help people that aren't skilled in pvp and been doing it for years. It is breaking entire games because there are 6 mercs/mando on one team and objectives are impossible to cap because 6 nukers are dmg farming from 30m with unfair DCDs. They have been working the defensives of this class for years, it was "viable" long ago. If this Ranged Tank thing stands, then nerf their dmg output. Simple. Sorcs/sages don't crit for 30k+
  12. So scale back the damage on the class. They were focused because of the threat level, the threat of high ranged dmg has not changed but their defensives have... over the last numerous patches throughout the years.
  13. Just tonight playing 2-3 hours straight pvp, I encountered 2 arens that had 3 mercs/mando, and 3 warzones that had 5+ of the 8 man team made up of mercs/mandos....... Its like when Walmart has a discount on defect toilet paper, its not good for anybody. I can respect all the melee (saber) class's DCDs because they have a set up AND have to be in range of their targets. Sins/shadows have to carefully manage their DCDs because they are squishy and powerful when used correctly. Their biggest threat is fotm mercs/mandos dropping their TWO ranged AoEs in the mess of melee of pvp. I feel like I am taking crazy pills!!!! Again, sorcs don't have the immediate impact of ranged dmg that mercs do AND their life saver DCD has a "breather" with the obvious draw back to the sorc/sage. I currently play a Vanguard and we are truly a glass cannon, we have the adrenal rush, but it does not go to 70% as mercs, we are close to mid range, and our "heal" is our shoulder cannon, which can NOT be relied on for save us from what we got into. Although, you will pay for the explosive to your chest and the dot I dropped on you... Any logical non biased person wanting solid PvP in a game we all enjoy "should" be able to say this class changes to Merc/Mando are off. * No nonsense or trolling, just PvP facts. P.S. Devs: If changes aren't made, please let me know NOW so I can play my merc and mando again to rule everything. Also, can we add a /teabag emote so I can capture the wreckage I will rue on others playing this godly class?
  14. I am the Original Poster, and after having played countless more matches both ranked and regs I find changes still need to be made to the class. Devs have spent the original nerfs from launch adding to the mercs DCDs, even the agro reducer adds defensive stats. The class dynamic is mobile and ranged, to give them the insane instant heal is wrong. The class got a jet boost/rocket back ability that further increased mobility. They made heals instant and the class even has top offs for others and self with the self shot healing. No other class has that. For Example, Sorc have similar mechanics, but by no means are the same, sorcs bubbles have disadvantages as well.(ex. the attackers get to recoup and get ready for the sorc to be vulnerable and on the run) If the players that want EZ mode DCDs and super ranged want ranged, I think its fair to make their damage output comparable to the Sorc/sage class, no HUGE bombs while using their silly DCDs. As is, adjusting to massive detrimental DCDs is one thing, doing so while maintaining the best ranged dps is outrageous. Someone defending these changes as legit earlier mentioned I enjoy seeing the class at the bottom tier. To that I say that I do indeed playing a challenging class in a game that makes it very easy to succeed as being attractive. (All mmos are easy) If the DCDs remain, then the merc/mando dmg and easy insta click rotation needs to be scaled back from the 30k+ plus bombs, the 30k is only the final shot grav round or missile. 40k Direct Dmg attacks + 90k instant self heals = BROKEN Its
