  1. While I like both AC's, and a lot of people here are saying Merc's have he advantage of range - they seem to forget that Powertech's can grapple an enemy from 30m, which will interrupt a ranged attack and also make them panic, while you pummel them not to mention Jet Packing to them if you're Shieldtech! So I don't think range should factor into your decision as the utilities are there for you to get to your opponent as fast as you can But both specs have their own advantages, its nice to be able to heal yourself up and its nice to be able to mitigate a lot of damage and have very few cast time attacks So its up to your own personal preference
  2. I'm a Sage, Balance spec, and I use Tharan as my primary companion, I find I never dip below 85% health or so with his heals and my Force Armor up. But hes just gotten the Deploy Holiday CC ability, and now I find myself dipping below 50% often because he spends a bunch of time channeling it. Its a pretty useful ability so I don't want to turn it off, but does anybody else think an 8 second channel is a bit much? I wouldn't mind if it had say, a 10 second duration with a 1 minute cooldown. Thoughts?
  3. Purely speculation, but I think they may possibly be able to when Legacy comes in; its states that Legacy levels will give Legacy powers - So I'm thinking its sort of like what DC Universe had, like being able to have a Green Lantern power. So possibly in the future the Warrior may get lightning, but so far, no
  4. Well I know you say its a measely heal and probably wondering "Is it worth it?", but as everyone has said, with the talent points it gives an energy return which is great. Its basically the exact same thing as the Mercenary Combat Support Cylinder, it heals the same (your tech bonus healing; which will change with stats) but the proc works differently, I wish it could be cast while moving like theirs can be though
  5. You could do it no problem as the skills in the crafting sets don't have any level requirement. However, the mission skills that get you the materials do, and in-game you start off with say, "Level 10 - 18 missions" and then the next bracket goes from 18 - 26 (ish), so as a twink crafter you'll never be able to gather higher level mats yourself, but you could send from alts/buy them.
  6. Chill the hell out and stop moaning about not getting in immedietely when, oh yeah, the game hasn't even launched yet! I don't see you commending Bioware for giving as EXTRA 2 days of early game access either, thus increasing the number of people who will get in earlier than they would have, so grow up.
  7. What the hell is with people? The early access beign staggered is a brilliant way to get stability in from the beginning, anyone ever played a big MMO right at launch and crash constantly? I sure have, and that can ruin a game. Also, I love how nobody seems to praise Bioware for giving us an EXTRA 2 days of EGA, when they were originally only going to do it from the 15th, and to give us ANY form of early access is amazing! Do you pre-order the new Assassain's Creed game and complain you don't get it early, just because you pre-ordered? No.
