  1. That may be true in PvP, but in PvE there are a lot of groups of 3-4 that stannd apart. Someone said they tested and landing in the middle of those hit none instead of the group.
  2. Pure awesome. To the Op: It does say when you learn a crafting skill that you can only learn one. One would think that they would plan for those that max it out then unlearn to learn a new one.
  3. I am in a similar position. My main is a sage with maxed out artificing. My trooper is 38 with cybertech, scav, and UT. I really love the combination. Being able to make all my enhancements, hilts, mods, and armor overlays has been just awesome as I have a lot of orange gear on each character.
  4. Yeah, I hate searching for this every time I want to check something out.
  5. Actually I was in the air force back between 92-96 and they had just made the transition from calling female officers 'sir'. So, yes, although you don't hear it much anymore, they used to call them sir. For those of you that have never heard that, it may have been before your time. Also, in Star Wars, there is a lore item you can find that explains the rank system and Seargent is an officer in this system. Not an NCO so they would be saluted and called Sir.
  6. While I would love to see dual spec, saying that leveling as a healer or tank is a pain is just plain wrong IMO. I have a seer specced sage at 45 and have enjoyed playing immensely. Also, I am leveling my Trooper as Vanguard shield spec; I love that play style particularly after getting Elara. I don't disagree that dual spec would be an awesome addition, I certainly don't feel it is "needed".
  7. Unless the game has content to make it matter, the only thing that will happen if all DPS has that bonus is that you might kill the boss faster. It doesn't necessarily mean it will be make or break, particularly if the content in game is doable without it. Right now, it is just a way for the elite guilds to flex their e-peens. If content is put in where that crit IS make or break, then I can see a QQ fest. But until the only guilds clearing content are the elitists with everyone having maxed biochem, it is kind of moot. Is everyone else failing the end game content if they don't have every player max out biochem?
  8. Started day 1 early access. I have: 45 Sage 35 Vanguard 11 Scoundrel 10 Jedi Knight I still play a few hours a night after work and a lot on weekends...and I did play WoW for quite some time (as well as NUMEROUS other MMOs) and I still love the game.
  9. This is the way I am playing. Granted I am only 35 but I feel like a God when I have Elara out. Even the damage is not bad. I leveled a Sage first and I have to tell you that it is SO much easier on my Vanguard.
  10. I have a 45 sage full seer spec and I love the way they heal. I also love the utility. Damage? Not so much but that is not why I play one. I also have a 35 vanguard trooper. I tank for my guild in flashpoints and we have a commando healer. I compare the two styles when I play with my guild and I really like the commando...so much so that I was planning on making a second trooper just to have one. I think it really comes down to play style. Which heal style do you prefer. All 3 can heal well if played properly. One may have better CC, one may have more types of heals, and one may do better damage when not healing. You just need to know what you want out of your character as a whole above and beyond just "wanting a healer". .
  11. I switched to the Lt. After using Fess up until 40. With Iresso I was able to kill a little faster. Now at 45 I use Nadia. I also gave her a lot of orange gear I have been saving up. Next on my list is to upgrade her saber. She does great damage without so I am anxious to see how she does after a weapon upgrade. She isn't a tank, but when they die this fast, it really doesn't matter.
  12. I have to say that my play experience has been quite the opposite. I have never skipped a skill, I keep my crew skills (artificing and supporting skills) at level and make much of my own upgrades, and I had enough money to buy my level 40 speeder skill and speeder at level 35. I don't play the market or anything either; I don't even use the GTN. I am able to keep ahead of my expenses by just normal questing and doing some space dailies. Haven't even done any flashpoints or many heroic areas on my Sage because I out leveled my wife and friends. I use my Trooper for those (who is also able to keep ahead in credits). I am really not sure what people do with their credits to make them fall behind in this game. Credits are soo easy to come by.
  13. The gathering skills and missions skills level up automatically as you do them. There is nothing more to purchase. Keep doing the missions and more will open up.
  14. I wouldn't mind a speed boost on the 40 and 50 speeders. But I had enough for my 40 speeder and skill at around level 35 with my crew skills "at level" and all my skills bought. Credits come so easy that the speeder skill and speeders are affordable when you reach the level if you are doing all the quests and throwing in some daily space missions. I am pretty sure I will buy the level 50 skill too since I am really enjoying the dismount protection of the level 40 skill.
  15. Awesome info! You taught me two things about biochem I was unaware of: that you can craft persistent through death stims and you craft implants. We were just talking in guild last night wondering who crafted implants. Good to know info.
