  1. My Railshots usually crit for about 3k'ish, but I've got a 5.3k RS crit once somehow, I don't even have the Firebug talent for the 30% increased crit dmg. At the time I was a mix of Cent/Champ (default mods) and the only booster I used was my crit/surge relic. It was a 1v1 fight but the guy had been fighting a Merc moments before, so if the Merc's talent called Tracer Lock (Arsenal tree) applies to target and not to the Merc himself I guess that must have been what happened. It's weird that I don't get high RS crits more often though, because there's LOTS of Arsenal specced Mercs in the warzones, but I can't even remember scoring a 4k+ RS crit other than that 5.3k crit. http://i.imgur.com/BQyMj.jpg
  2. I used to pop it every now and then when I was solo defending Civil War/Voidstar. But then I realized I can 1v1 every stealther rather easily so I just wait for any potential stealther to pop his opener and then I engage and use it to prevent them from escaping. That's pretty much the only thing I use it for, on people who vanish. And when I go to solo cap on Civil War and the node appears empty, there's usually a stealther lurking around.
  3. ^Bad Sniper/GS spotted. Topping the dmg meter =/= good player, even though my Sniper friend is always #1. The reason people whine about Sniper/GS is because they can't handle the positioning and maneuvering needed to be effective, which other classes don't need to worry about. Just because they're harder to play doesn't mean they're weaker, far from. Just l2p please. No, the only class that can beat Sniper/GS in raw burst is Ops/Scoundrel. Also, like I said a good Sniper knows to position and maneuver to counter simple LoS'ing, and if they're Lethality/Dirty Fighting they wont even be dependant on cover. Everyone posting on forums to nerf/buff x class is always a scrub, Sniper/GS is as viable as any other class when played correctly.
  4. I'm Parakeet spec with Eliminator gear and in the progress of swapping out mods for crit/surge or power/surge mods (mods which generally have lower endurance), so I'm definately quite squishy in PvP with barely 17k hp. Especially since I guard at all times, I die alot if I'm not in wz with a healer. Luckily I have great healers in my guild so I'm in the clear most of the times. In 1v1 I'm quite squishy too ofc, but my damage combined with decent survivability makes up for it. My Sniper for example feels like 30% survivability 70% dmg, while my PT feels like 50% survivability 70% damage. So most 1v1 feels like a walkover.
  5. A well played Sniper/GS is absolutely lethal, there's just too few good ones around, I can count 2 on my server (one Sniper, one GS). My Sniper buddy rips through pretty much anyone and anything in matter of seconds (full BM gear) and knows perfectly how to position and maneuver himself unlike most others.
  6. What secondary stats and how much of each do you prefer for max dps?
  7. Stars must really have been aligned then, otherwise I would assume to atleast see the occasional 4k crit just by accident.
  8. http://i.imgur.com/irokZ.jpg 3k is the usual crit for me aswell, with relic popped. Dunno why the sudden increase, and I know it wasn't a naked player because I was having a 1v1 vs a Sentinel when I got it.
  9. Full champion except for 1 cent implant and cent shield. Relics are champ crit/surge and Matrix cube.
  10. Grapple = Endless LOL's.
  11. Usually with Parakeet build I don't crit for alot, when I buff myself with crit/surge relic I crit about 3.5k at the MOST! Yesterday I managed to get a Railshot (I assume) crit of 5.4k though, I saw in the chat in the corner of my eye that I got a 5k medal and thought it was 5k dmg guarded and was like "***? I have been guarding like crazy!". Wasn't until the game was over that I notice I had actually done that much damage in a single blow. I found it weird since I don't have the Firebug talent for the increased crit damage on RS, and my highest crit ever have been like close to 4k. It's quite a massive leap...
  12. I use A (strafe left) W (forward) D (strafe right). Would've shifted one step to the right and used S E F if I needed more keybinds, but it's not needed in SWTOR atm (atleast not with a Naga). Really wish I would've thought of shifting my movement keys one step to the right while I was hevy into arenas in WoW though, since I really struggled with binding every ability and all the macros associated with them. SO MANY!
  13. I did Eternity Vault with my guild so that I could get my Crystal Alloys for my Biochem stuff, and decided to go AP since I was there was DPS. Was really fun since I could spam everything non stop really and never worry about my heat. Damage is pretty good aswell, but then again I've never been full Pyro so wouldn't know how inferior AP is. Did try some warzones as AP aswell but I just can't live without Jet Charge, getting up and down platforms in Hutball aswell as pinning people onto firetraps with it is just too good to pass up on imo. And if you're AP you'll be using the wrong cylinder to be able to guard, so you're stuck with taunts in order to defend damage. Variations of Iron Fist and Parakeet is really the only builds that are viable for me in warzones, they offer good damage and mobility but more importantly lets you protect your teammates more effectively. I don't play PT as a DPS though so my opinion might not matter.
  14. I ran ST spec from 1-50 (and still ST) and from lvl 30 I could start carrying Huttball games on my own. Ofc it all depends on what people you're with and against, but in 9/10 games I could take advantage of all the clueless players to easily ninja cap over and over. Voidstar/Civil War was a bit different though, since then I was mostly focusing on defending as much damage as possible which is really frustrating without a healer, and there wasn't many of 'em when I leveled my PT.
