  1. Are you talking about the website? If so, then there should be a "Log In" button in the top right of the homepage. That's where you log into the website. If you're already logged into the website, then that button will not be there and instead you will see your account name in small letters. To view your subscription details and to download the game, click your account name and go to "My Account". You should then be able to see your subscription details on the left hand side under "Subscription". To download the game (if you need to) there's also "Games (Download)" on the left hand side as well.
  2. If you can't find another solution then, as was mentioned above, you might want to try removing Bitraider. I found an old guide here on how to do that, I think it should still work: Bitraider is a streaming / downloading service that EA throws in with a lot of their games that tends to cause a lot of problems for the user. Be warned, removing Bitraider will redownload the game. It should also be noted that uninstalling Bitraider and actually configuring the patcher to not use Bitraider are two different things. Simply uninstalling Bitraider and nothing else will cause the patcher to download Bitraider again. You need to edit the settings file to not use Bitraider which is explained in the guide above.
  3. The "Camera Rotation Speed" slider is located in "Interface Controls" and then "Controls". But the slider itself is bugged for many people. I had the same problem when coming back to the game recently. If you can't work with the slider in-game then you have to change the setting in a text file located here: Replace "YourUserName" with your user name C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\SWTOR\swtor\settings This is the file you want to change (just open with notepad): UserName_Account.ini And then change the following setting to something between 0 and 1 (mine is set to 0.25 I think): Controls_CameraRotationSpeed = XXX.yyy Make sure you try the slider in-game before trying this and make sure to exit the game before editing the settings file.
  4. I usually set my companions to DPS to make things quicker. For tougher fights, setting them to Tank is often preferable over Healing for me. When companions Tank, they still spend time attacking and dealing damage in addition to tanking damage. This way you get the benefit of taking less damage yourself while also having a companion that deals damage. When a companion is set to Heal, they often spend most of their time healing rather than doing anything else. This is still the best option for very tough fights, but I personally prioritize setting a companion to DPS, then Tank, and then Heal based on how tough fights are.
  5. You can find mod vendors that sell cheap mods for every 4-6 levels on the outer ring of the Supplies section of the fleet. As was mentioned before, stats don't matter than much until you hit endgame. You can generally outlevel most things and then you will be level scaled back down to the level of the planet you are on. On a side note, you don't need to do every mission you come across. You can level by doing only purple missions, these are your class / main stories. Focusing only on those will help avoid consistently overleveling things. For class information, you can generally find up to date info on classes (including stat priorities) in Vulkk's guides: https://vulkk.com/category/swtor/swtor-guides/swtor-5-0-guides/
  6. If you're serious about not caring about the story then I would say go ahead and make a boosted character. However, I would warn you that this is a very story-driven MMO and that is a big reason why many people play this game. I would normally highly recommend new players to play at least their first character from level 1. A few notes about boosted characters for new players: A boosted character has their class story, companion conversations, and previous expansion content autocompleted. This is done though default dialog options. All of the content is completed as if you actually played through but with preset choices. You can never go back and do any of this content, including companion conversations. You can never romance class companions with boosted characters and you do not receive any titles you'd normally get from the story. Again, I'd highly recommend that any new players start at level 1 and play though all the relevant content at their own pace. To speed things along, you can level doing only purple missions. These are your class story and planet story arcs. You can choose to skip the planet story arcs if you want to, but you will probably have to fill that in with something else like Heroics or Flashpoints.
  7. When you subscribe for at least 1 month you get free permanent access to all of the expansions. Even when you revert back to F2P / Preferred you'll still have access to them. For a full list of differences between F2P, Preferred, and Subscription, see here: https://www.reddit.com/r/swtor/wiki/f2p#wiki_differences_quickview
  8. Anything that is only sold temporarily is usually a good seller. Things like the Distant Worlds Decoration Bundle and the recent direct purchase sales that only last a few days like the Unstable Arbiter saber and black on black dye as well as the mount and tuning that appeared today on the CM. Other things to check prices on are command boosts and armor / weapons like the Heirloom saber. Any of those things in addition to the one's you mentioned usually provide a good CC to credit conversion ratio. In general, if you can get 10 mil out of 1k CC then that's a pretty good deal. Depending on your server, there might be a few things you can do that with consistently.
  9. I would say sell them about 1-2 months after they are no longer available. That would be at least several months from now. If you don't want to wait that long then, depending on your server, there might be other things on the CM to sell for credits at a similar CC to credit conversion rate as Hypercrates. I'd recommend looking up some of the items from the CM on the GTN and see what various things sell for. Hypercrates aren't necessarily the best things to use to convert CC to credits, even when you wait until they're no longer available.
  10. I believe they have separate teams for game content and the cartel market. Expansions and actual game content obviously take a lot more work than just creating new armor and mount designs to throw on the CM so I think its safe to say that they put more resources towards creating game content. And with the recent low effort additions to the cartel market, maybe they are moving even more resources over to focus on game content.
  11. Did the game actually finish installing? Did you try repairing the client? You can repair by exiting the game and clicking the lower left button on the launcher. If the game is actually fully installed, then try repairing first. If that doesn't work, then check out the official post on this issue here: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=729911 If nothing works, I'd advise you to remove Bitraider. You may even want to remove Bitraider anyway. Bitraider is a streaming and downloading service that EA throws in with a lot of their games that tends to cause a lot of problems for the user. Here's a guide to removing Bitraider: Be warned, removing Bitraider will redownload the game. It should also be noted that uninstalling Bitraider and actually configuring the patcher to not use Bitraider are two different things. Simply uninstalling Bitraider and nothing else will cause the patcher to simply download Bitraider again. You need to edit the settings file to not use Bitraider which is explained in the guide above.
  12. Replaying chapters has no effect on your actual progress with the story. The decisions you make during your first playthrough are the only ones that matter. The bug with Lana is likely unrelated to replaying chapters. If you're certain that your romance with Lana was broken off, I recommend opening an in-game ticket. Although, I don't know how much they can do to fix your situation. I know there are a lot of people that have had romance bugs with their companions in the recent expansions which never been fixed (as far as I'm aware).
  13. You should be able to view the DvL status on your server by opening your Galactic Command window. Default key is Ctrl+G. You should always see the DvL bar there with the current light or dark rank.
  14. Every pack has specific items. The Unstable Peacemaker Lightsabers / Dualsabers have been in the past three packs which are all part of Shipment 9, they've never been up for direct sale. Shipments are a series of thematically related packs. You can view what packs are in what shipments and what items are from what packs by going to your Collections and then the Packs section up top. You can see and preview all items from any specific pack there.
  15. The game has a built-in interface editor under the "System" section of your menu bar. You can move your quickbars and change their sizes as well as the number of buttons on them. There's lots of other stuff you can do with it. I would also recommend looking through your rotation and the abilities you're using regularly. Many of the abilities for each class are very situational, you may be using some abilities regularly that you really don't need to use which can contribute to the ability bloat on your bars. Here are some class guides for 5.0 to help with that: http://dulfy.net/2016/12/22/swtor-5-0-class-guides-master-list/ I personally use a 12 programmable button mouse with the buttons in a 3x4 grid. My main quickbar is towards the lower middle of the screen and formatted 3x4 to match the keys on my mouse. They're keybined accordingly. That bar has my main rotation (plus a few misc abilities I use a lot) and then to either side of it there are two other bars with situational and misc abilities. I don't have any issues identifying when abilities are off CD and when I can use them.
