I'm sure many ranked only players also severely dislike that the quickest and most efficient method of gearing is by pveing.

I'd say they all require effort especially now after nerfs, but you have to admit that operative is a lot more micromanagement. You both have good points, I'd just say that the reason why it appears as though merc requires less effort is that any average or above average player can pick up the class and pull hps just from their dcds as you said. Operative is far less forgiving. So really both have high skill caps, but operative requires more skill on average to be of any use. oof city

operatives should have a higher hps potential since they're the HoT healer. That's just the trade, low burst for high aoe healing potential. What would merc be if they had great aoe healing potential and highest burst? Also it's not like merc is completely un-viable in ranked seeing as how asana, durwell, deadly, etc they can all make it work just fine and in the case of Durwell he uses it while maximizing the burst potential of his team's strat/comp. You can say all you want how merc is gimped because of it's hps potential compared to operatives or sorcs, but I'd say this expansion has featured the best healer balance in terms of ranked viability.

biggest heal from durwell was 28k so doesn't look like most of his hps was from cds. Oof

Asti's opinion (since hes forum banned xD) since pve leaderboards like parsley take the bugged sorc parses i feel like they should be viable for this thread but thats just my two cents, it is an exploit but it has been around since around 3.0, it requires alot of rng to get so getting it in and of it self is an accomplishment and i feel that you should honor those dps numbers.
